(Recap) Hours later, about a third of the four hundred or so people had already dropped out. 'weaklings' Sasuke thought. The pace had also greatened since then, but the two boys still were unable to run like they do on missions. More of a fast-jogging pace. Sasuke was lost in thought when he suddenly got jolted to focus from Naruto's loud stomach. He raised a questioning eyebrow. "Naruto, what's the matter, didn't you eat this morning?" Sasuke asked. "Well yeah I had instant ramen but..." his stomach let out another loud noise. "It's probably from that spiked drink you took." Sasuke shook his head while looking back at Tonpa, who let out a large grin. "Awe man, I really have to go..." Naruto said through a scrunched-up face. Sasuke looked over at him with disgust. "It's your own fault for being so stupid, Naruto."

[Sasuke's POV]

I continued to run, ignoring the useless kid next to me, when all the sudden I heard Naruto complain again. "Hey, watch where you're-" he started. "What is it now?" I groaned. Another voice chimed in. I looked over to Naruto to see a kid the same height as him, with big and spiky green hair, and a matching pair of green eyes. The unknown kid also wore a very ugly, bright green outfit and boots.

"Hey there! I'm so sorry." The boy in green said, with serenity on his face. Another kid ran next to him, number 99, the white-haired boy. "I didn't mean to run into you-?" the green kid started, asking for a name. the bubbly idiot of a partner I have took the bait. "Oh, I'm Naruto Uzamaki, nice to meet ya'! well how bout you?" he yelled in significant tones. The new kid replied "You can call me Gon! And this is Killua!" Gon replied energetically, motioning over to his new friend with cat-like eyes. "We were just racing to see who could finish first." He continued.

I roll my eyes. 'How trivial'... "Oh cool!" the dumbass yells. "Hey Sasuke!" I shoot him a glare. 'It's one thing to reveal his own name but give away mine? I swear if he asks me to-' "we should race too!" 'Maybe I should agree just so I could kick his ass, an Uchiha like me is way faster than an idiot like him.' I contemplated, settling on a decision. "Naruto, how could we race if we are supposed to stay behind the examiner, we are already at his tail." Naruto looked back at me, obviously braindead. Just then the purple haired monkey dude who we were following turns his head slightly and says, "you four can race to the end, its just ahead, but be sure to wait at the gate." And with that the white-haired boy named Killua immediately bolts forward like lightning, Gon and Naruto scream objections before following in his footsteps. 'Oh brother...' and with that I race forward as well.

To be honest, Killua was very fast, 'almost as fast as someone like Kakashi', I thought. I was able to get neck and neck with the kid. He clenched his teeth in annoyance when he saw me, I merely smirked at him. "Hurry up Gon!" he yelled to his friend behind us, before fixing his gaze back to me. "Where did you learn to be so fast?" the stranger questions. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't comply to a stranger's questions, but this kid has piqued my interest. "What can I say? I'm an Uchiha." I say cockily on purpose, to see how Killua might react. "Uchiha? Never heard of that name." I stared darts over at him. 'Someone who doesn't know what an Uchiha is? That's almost impossible, we are one of the most famous clans in the world, especially after Itachi...' "Have you lived under a rock your whole life?" I ask him, being careful not to give the stranger any more information as he might grow suspicious. Killua glanced sideways at me for a few seconds. "No, on a volcano, actually. I'm a Zoldyck, you may have heard of them." He replies with obvious sarcasm in his voice. I became a little worried. I have no idea what a Zoldyck is.

Before he could press more questions, I pushed my legs harder, bouncing off the sides of the tunnel to go further. "Naruto get over here!" I yelled back to him while still running faster. I knew he was busy talking to Gon before. After a minute Naruto finally caught up to me, the other boys being left behind. "Wow Gon is really nice!" I nod my head. "Naruto, these people don't know what an Uchiha is. And the white-haired boy named Killua claimed to be apart of some famous heritage called the Zoldycks." I said seriously. Naruto picked up quickly. "What? Someone who doesn't know what an Uchiha is? Are we on the other side of the world or something?" he said in a surprised/joking tone. "Actually, I think we are on a different world..." I let that sink in to see how he would take it. I believe he was too shocked, as all he responded with was a mere nod. I look over at him concerned. "Hey, you alright?" Naruto looks down at the wall we were running along. "Yeah I'm... fine." It didn't sound very convincing. Could he really be that worried?

[Naruto's POV]

I look down at my feet "Yeah I'm... fine." I reply. The truth was I wasn't fine. My stomach really hurt, I felt like passing out. On top of that, Sasuke just laid some heavy theories on me. 'a different world? How can that be? Chronos has a very powerful Justu... I'll never be able to see Kakashi, or Sakura, Hinata or... anyone from our world again!' I felt like crying. 'The only one I have left is Sasuke and he...' I look over to Sasuke and realize he's observing me. 'He... might not be that bad.' Letting out a sigh of defeat, I look back at my feet. "Sasuke, I don't think I will make it..." I whispered, before I fainted like a moron and fell to the tunnel floor.

I had a really nice dream about eating Ichiraku Ramen.

When I woke up again, I was still on the floor, but sitting upright against a door, across from Gon. "Hey! Uh- Sasuke! He's awake." Gon shouted with a big smile. Killua sat next to him, asleep and leaning on Gon's shoulder. I quickly looked next to me. Sasuke sat there, glued to the floor silently. "Hey Sasuke, what happened? Is this the end of the tunnel the examiner talked about?" "Well first, you passed out, then I... *insert Sasuke panic* picked you up and took you here. Yes, this is the end of the tunnel, we've been her for about 5 hours, the rest of the group should get here soon." He said. I was surprised to hear him talk so much. I nod my head "K. scooch over, I wanna' lay down." I complain. He scoffs but complies, moving over a foot or so allowing me to rest. I thought it would be more comfortable to lay in his lap before this, but he would probably slap me.

After only an hour, I flinched awake from my light sleep, hearing footsteps approach from the long staircase below. I stood up, running over to see Mr. Satotz jogging a lot faster but still far away, and the group of applicants shaved down even more. "HEY MR. SATOTZ!" I yell happily waving a hand over to the examiner. He didn't respond. I rolled my eyes and sat back down where I was.
