Y/n POV
"Being the number one potato farmer must be a lot of work!" I commented to Technoblade.
"Actually not really, I have eleven twenty-two level potato minions, they do most of the work," He explained. I took some notes, scribbling it down furiously into the leather book. He did his now classic deep rumbling laugh and said, "You remind me of myself just a little while ago, completely oblivious to the fact that something called Hypixel Support will give you all the information you need."
I smiled and looked at his cute pink braided hair bouncing up and down as he walked, how he could come up with a quip in just a matter of seconds, I needed to get him back for that little snarky reply. Giggling to myself I responded, "Look here Mr. Orphan Slayer, you've been doing this for years, but I think you may have forgotten something."
"And what would that be?" Curiosity seemed to be provoking him constantly, but I viewed this as an admirable quality.
"Hypixel Support are the people who partnered me up with you because they can't help everyone," I thought this was pretty clever.
He chuckled, "Not bad for a girl," He scoffed.
This made me a bit annoyed, so I did the only reasonable solution; pester him for the rest of the day. It made perfect sense!
Standing up on my toes I reached up and grabbed his golden crown, "How's this for a girl?"
"Hey! I was kidding!" He tried to retrieve it but I inched towards the void, threatening to throw it in. This pushed his nerves, he treasured that crown as it was a memory of the days when he used to do Bedwars Hypixel, he didn't play much now since everyone would just surrender because he was so popular now.
"Come on... Please give it back?" He lunged for it but I jumped back and dangled it over the abyss even further now.
"Fine, fine, let's do this the hard way shall we?" But little did he know I was just getting warmed up, he wouldn't dare hurt me anyway.
Running up the pavement to the guest home I danced up the stairs all the way to the roof balcony and hopped into the massive oak tree he had planted. The branches crunched beneath me, this was a mistake. Getting worried but not wanting to look foolish for making the mistake I remained there, trying to shift my weight back and forth in an attempt to stop the sticks underneath me from breaking.
But it all happened too fast, I lost my grip on Techno's crown and it slipped out of my hand, catching a piece bark. Scared it would fall and shatter this wasn't fun and games anymore. The blade was still trying to find me too! I leaned down slowly and just touched one of the points, it was so close... I heard a horrible snapping sound, scrambling to do anything it was far too late. The next thing I knew, I had fallen, this was it, the end, I was going to fall right on my head and it would all be over.
I felt myself land into somebody's arms and looked up, my eyes had been closed out of fear, "Why hello princess! How funny, it appears you've been outsmarted," I rolled my eyes, this guy sometimes...
"Uh, could you possibly put me down?" I tried to squirm away but he was holding me firmly bridal-style, impossible to escape without an actual fight. I'm just not in the mood! I could TOTALLY escape if I wanted to! I told myself.
"Not until you say the magic word!" His red eyes gleamed with amusement.
"Please?" I pretended to whimper.
"I was actually looking for Oh my masterful Blood God! PLEASE put me down, I will do ANYTHING! But please will do just fine," He pretended to be annoyed, the crown already magically somehow on his head.
He placed me down and wrapped his arms around me warmly, "Uh. Mr. Blade?" I giggled nervously.
"SORRY! I- Human interaction?" Like a bewildered animal (I mean he is PART animal) he scampered away, blushing and backed up into his house, slamming into the door knob and letting out a grunt, then hit his head on the undersized door frame and fell inside when the door suddenly opened. I stifled my laughter; gosh he could be cute at times. Wait. Cute? NOOOO! That's ridiculous. Forget it! Nothing ever happened! I overrode the thoughts of possibilities of what just happened, I'm sure it was all a pure accident.
Technoblade POV
I slammed my head onto my desk, why was I so awkward? I walked to the other room and sat down on my bed. Sitting there for several minutes I felt bored and couldn't resist the temptation to see what Y/n was doing.
Opening the window shutters I peered outside, U/n was chasing butterflies. I laughed to myself; it had been so long since I had seen my friends... Philza especially, he was practically my father! But I hadn't visited the Dsmp in almost a year, not since-
I shut my eyes, trying to block out the bad memories, but they all came flooding back in. That terrible day when I let the voices control me, the day I helped blow up L'manburg with Dream. I had fled, retreating back to Hypixel Bedwars, but they all feared me. I shivered, those voices... they were coming back again. Come on! You can't hide here forever! Skyblock will only contain us for so long! Someday we will have our blood again! An echoing whisper rung out. My eyes wandered out the window and to an axe. "NO!" I yelled aloud. It attracted Y/n's attention and she seemed concerned. I took a deep breath, excuse; I needed an excuse.
Scratch that I needed to tell her to run!
She softly knocked on my door; she still had so much to learn! I could NOT kill her; I needed to give up all of those past ways. When I didn't answer she invited herself in anyway, for two days she already seemed to know me for a hundred lifetimes.
Sitting beside me she put my hands in her lap and said softly, "I know about the spirits, but its okay! I understand and you don't have to feel bad about it," she reassured me. I couldn't help but feel happy, happy somebody bothered to care.
