Well, there were several reasons as to why I started writing. Reading other fanfics really inspired me. I would start to mentally go through and live/imagine what would happen next. Which is why I didn't mind incomplete fics. Maladaptive dreams were common. Especially when I was really depressed. It made me want to write my own ad share it like they did. Of course, I sorta fell short at the share part.

I have always struggled socially. I never stuck around in friend groups for too long. I was constantly in toxic relationships with people.

When I went to high school, the first three terms were great (despite Covid). Then, my friend left school and it threw our whole friend group out of dynamic. That on top of the added stress of exams just sent me downhill. I'm not going to share everything that happened, but I was left alone and kicked out (not technically, but I left because I wasn't welcome there anymore). That's when I started getting maladaptive dreams. All. The. Time.

I had already started coming up with stories but it was then that I started to make my own PIB post-canon universe. I would get sucked into the world and continue on with the story during class, in breaks, before sleep (because it always takes me a couple hours before I even start sleeping). I reached the end of this little universe and to stop myself from going insane, I restarted. And because I had a good memory, I remembered everything. I would slowly improve the story and add parts as I restarted it more often. When I was daydreaming all the time, I would get through this series/story in a week (if you knew how long and extensive the story was, you'd be concerned). I can't remember how many times I went through the story.

Even after things were "fixed" at the end of the year, I still daydreamed and went through the story. At the start of the next year, I joined Wattpad. And I started to get everything down on paper (or on my device).

To answer the question of when I started writing- it was sometime before the end of yr7. I just didn't share anything and it was purely for my own enjoyment.

Fun fact: I got a Deviant Art account WAY before I got a Wattpad account. Puss' Partner was supposed to be a comic. Then, I discovered I have no art skills whatsoever. I decided to write instead and discovered I'm a pretty good writer.
