Reader's perspective
"Hey kid, it's Hank. Turns out the deviants are worse than we thought, I need your help. You know the graffitied area downtown? The one with the robots? I've got a deviant with me & didn't bring jack shit when it comes to back up, come down & help me, will ya?"
She'd replayed the voice mail sent from the unknown number again & again as she made her way down the street through the rain.
Something was up, there had to have been something big going on because:
A- Hank barely swore in the voice message.
B- Connor wasn't following him around like a lost child at the time.
C- He didn't sound like himself, almost......mechanical even.
D- The old man caught a deviant on his own for Christ's sake.
(Y/N) finally reached the area, sliding under the cut in the fence. As soon as she was in there, something felt off.
Gun's on your belt if you need it (Y/N), remember that.
A familiar voice made her snap her head up.
"(Y/N)! Over here." Hank's voice called from around the building.
"Hank! Is everything..." She turned the corner & was met with a dead end.
Fuck,
It's a trap.
The gun was thrown from her belt as a blunt pain filled her leg. She kicked the person who was attacking her from behind in the knee cap as she fell to the ground, rolling out of the way of their hit.
She was elbowed in the back of the neck whilst attempting to get up, making her fall to the ground again, still not seeing what her attacker looks like. Her head was forced up behind her using the neck of her shirt as she kicked & struggled. She fought against their grip until an attack send her head against the wall. She blacked out.

When (Y/N) woke up her hands were tied behind her back & she was on her knees in an unknown area. A blinding light was brought up to her face & she squinted, her head pounding.
"Well, that hurt like a bitch."
"She's awake." A male voice.
"Why are we letting a human into our place of salvation? We should kill her now & not waste time." A woman.
"No! She's different, I promise! She helped me!" Andrew?
"A-Andrew?" Her eyes adjusted to her surroundings as a female & male android stood beside Andrew, the android she'd met only a few moments ago.
"(Y/N), you're awake! Good. He wants to speak to you."
"He?"
"Back at the house, you said tell our leader you said hello? I did more than that, I told him everything you helped me with. Now he wants to speak with you."
"What is going on here?" Another figure emerged, his eyes were both different colours. One green & one blue. He placed his hand on the other woman's shoulder & that's when (Y/N) realised.
Some of them have LEDs
They're androids
No, not androids
Deviants
"I told you to bring her here, not to tie her up like some sort of prisoner."
"Markus, we don't know what she's capable of! She could be dangerous!"
I'm legitimately not harmless in any way.
Unless you steal my food,
In that case, you're fucked.
The android named Markus kneeled down in front of her, his crystal blue & deep green eyes pierced her soul as he examined her closely.
He got up, his eyes still on the human.
"Remind me again why this human is here?" The woman with red hair spat the word out like a mouth full of nails.
"If Andrew is telling us the truth than she may be the one in a million humans who believe in nothing but equality."
"She could be a spy, she could've been using Andrew."
"You have no faith, do you North?"
"I have a reason to have no faith Josh! She works for the humans & the only language humans speak is violence! She's most likely been sent to find Jericho." She pressed a gun into Markus' hand, (Y/N)'s eyes showing her shock.
"We should just kill her now & continue with this revolution."
"I don't want a revolution that spills innocent blood! Especially if that human is the reason I'm alive today! I would be locked up in a cell right now if it weren't for her."
"It's your call Markus."
Markus slowly stared down at the gun, then looked the woman straight in the eye. He could see the fear in those (E/C) hues, but she could see the mental battle going on from where she was sitting, was he really willing to shoot an innocent human?
"An eye for an eye & the world goes blind." The deviant leader murmured, handing the gun back.
"We won't spill blood over innocent lives."
An uneasy feeling settled in (Y/N)'s stomach.
"So...why did you help Andrew?"
"He was suffering. I've been hunting down criminals for years now, so once I started the deviant case, I thought they were like any other dangerous being. But I realised something. The only reason androids have deviated is because they felt the need to. They didn't choose to be tortured & attacked daily, but they did choose to do something about it. It's quite inspiring, they weren't given the choice to be alive, so they made the option themselves."
"You remind me of someone I once knew... Someone with the same beliefs, someone who respected androids." He reached behind her, untying the ropes that bonded her hands.
"Thank you. But, if I may ask, how did you figure out Hank's voice?"
"That would be me." Andrew stepped forward.
"When you dropped the phone on the ground you may have noticed I stared at it for a moment. I was actually going through things such as contacts, photos & videos, I saw a German Shepard & a man who you called Hank. He was holding his badge in certain photos, so I assumed he was on the squad with you, apparently, I assumed correctly. North was sceptical about the whole meeting so she said for safety measures they were going to transport you here whilst you were unconscious, but now that I see the bruises she gave you I'm having second guesses on how they got you here." North scoffed at his comment as (Y/N) ran a hand over her own wrist.
"This is...a lot to process."
She stood up, scanning her eyes over the surrounding area.
"Although this may be a lot to take in, feel free to look around Jericho. North will most likely be watching you like a hawk though."

The rain was slowly fading as (Y/N) stood at the edge of Jericho's top deck, wind whisking against her face. The view from up there was breathtaking.
Her entire analyzation on deviants was wrong...she thought they were like all other criminals, but they just wanted freedom.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
She turned around to see Markus leaning against the railing.
"It really is...I've never seen anything like it. It's absolutely phenomenal." She turned to the scene yet again.
"Even though she doesn't want to admit it, North has....apologised for her hostile behaviour towards you. I do as well, I'm sorry I had to leave you in their hands. If I knew what was happening I wouldn't have given North the opportunity to hand me the gun."
(Y/N) smiled. "It's fine, I understand. A complete stranger walks right into the place you call home. It doesn't help that I'm also from the race that's trying to hurt you all."
"If Simon was here he'd had talked me out of it. He's been wandering around here somewhere, but, sorry in advance."
"Markus, it's fine."
There was a comforting silence.
"What would our world be like with equality...What would it lead to?" She asked.
"That's why we're making a difference, one event at a time. If all good people are free, then I believe that's when the world will finally be at peace."
"Aren't you scared of the future? If things go wrong?"
"You have to make mistakes in order to fully experience life."
(Y/N) faced the deviant leader, a look of determination glinted in her eye.
"I want to help you."
