The next day, I was obviously looking forward to the picnic. Harriet was coming along too just to be there for me and make me more confident. I told her a thousand times that this picnic was not a date. I don't feel like I'm ready for another relationship and to get my heart broken again. Anyway, I don't think Alan thinks more of me then just a friend.
I set up the picnic and made sure I looked alright. I had a lovely cake, some sandwiches, fruits and pancakes.
This is what your wearing, along with converse shoes
'Okay, Harriet, how do I look'?
'Maybe you should have your hair down'. I nodded and took the hair-tie from my hair.
'How do I look now'? She brought a hand to her chin and looked at me.
'Your missing something, Mr Rickman seems like the guy to like a flower in a girls hair'. She picked up a daisy from the patch of grass behind us. 'Come down'. I kneeled down as she put the flower in my hair.
'Thanks, little flower'.
'I feel like I'm underdressed', I heard a voice behind me say. I looked behind and my eyes widened.
'Oh my gosh'. He was wearing a jumper and sweatpants.
'What'?
'Sinclair Bryant'. He smiled and sat down next to me.
'To be honest, that movie was sad', Harriet said. I looked at her.
'Harriet, that movie has nudity in it', I told her.
'I know'.
'Your 11 years, I don't even know how you were even allowed to watch it with your aunt and uncle around'.
'I didn't, remember how you told me I can stay at your place until you came back'. I shook my head playfully.
Alan and I took a sandwich while Harriet took some cake in her glass. Alan and Harriet's conversation was muffled when my eye caught someone.
A man in a black leather jacket and blue jeans. He was staring right at me. Cake being thrown at me brought me back to reality.
'Harriet, what the hell'? Cake was all over my chest.
'You were daydreaming or something and I was talking to you, you goose'. She threw a strawberry at me.
'Oh your on, little flower'. I took a handful of cake and threw it at her. Alan chuckled.
'Are you two always like this'? He asked.
'No but she's acting like a 2 year old', I said throwing some fruit at her.
'And your acting like a 1 year old'. She threw a handful of cake but I dodged it, hitting Alan instead.
'Ohhh, we're dead', I whispered.
We all started having a food fight and we were all covered in cake, fruit and butter. Somehow, it happened that we started to play fight in the lake.
'Harriet'!
'(Y/n)'! She splashed some water in my face. 'Oh shoot, we're in the water'.
'Your just realising that now', Alan chuckled.
'No, I mean my aunt and uncle will kill me if they see me in this state'.
'Yeah, they might be questioning why your all wet', I laughed. 'One problem, I'm wearing white'.
'So'? Harriet said, getting out of the lake. I rolled my eyes.
'White becomes see through when it's wet, Miss Harriet', Alan explained. He got out of the lake and started to remove everything on top of the picnic blanket.
'It's starting to get cold in here the longer you stay', I said.
'Just don't go sick on me', Alan chuckled again as he shook the blanket from the grass. 'Here'. He stepped closer to the lake and opened the blanket. I came out of the lake and wrapped myself.
'Thanks, we can all head back to my place to clean up'.
'Sure, let's go'.
Once we got to my place, Harriet was the first, then Alan and last, me. After Harriet left, Alan stayed for a while until he had to leave himself.
