(Y/n)'s POV

I was blown away by a burst of something, and there I came to my senses, but I could feel something very precious to me being taken away from me. Looking up, I noticed a familiar figure from a distance: a blond man with emerald eyes. 'He was arguing with... Zaneri?' I thought. I turned invisible and avoided being noticed because I knew there was a problem here. It's good that they haven't yet noticed my presence. When I listened to their conversation, it was all about me. I was astounded by Zaneri's words, which were laced with rage, desperation, and—most importantly—obsession with him.

But there is a beat within my heart for Meliodas, as I correctly heard his name. That his words would cause my heart to race was not something I ever expected. When Zaneri asked Meliodas, "Would you love me if I killed (Y/n), Meliodas?" she was evilly laughing. That's when I felt anger towards her after the journey I had with her, supporting her, and considering her a friend. It was shocking to witness such a dark side to Zaneri's character. My loyalty to Meliodas strengthened as I saw him stand firm in the face of her twisted ultimatum. Without hesitation, he replied, "I would never love a monster capable of such cruelty." In that moment, my heart swelled with admiration for Meliodas and the unwavering love he had shown me. Then he looked in my direction, where I had been separated from him, and assumed I would never be found.

"Did you know why (Y/n) couldn't remember you, Meliodas? It's because of the time when (Y/n) sent your soul back into the real world. I opened a different portal for her to enter, which she did, and in that unidentified place I persuaded her to completely erase the memories of you so that she could leave the place. And she did it willingly, and I sealed those memories away so that she would never remember you again, for the sake of her own freedom and happiness. However, little did she know the immense pain and heartache that would accompany the loss of those memories," Zaneri said evilly. "That's why I see her in that state that I never want her to be in. It breaks my heart to witness her struggling with the emptiness and confusion caused by the erased memories. I wish I could turn back time and undo the things, but it's too late now. The **** did you do?!!!! Bring her memories back! ZANERI!!" Meliodas angrily shouted as he charged over to Zaneri, making them fight in the middle of a heated battle.

AUTHOR'S POV

Their fists clashed, and sparks flew as Meliodas desperately tried to overpower Zaneri, driven by his frustration and anger. Each blow echoed the pain and torment he felt, as if with every strike, he hoped to somehow force the memories back into his beloved's mind. But Zaneri, determined to stand her ground, fought back fiercely, her eyes reflecting a mix of sorrow and determination. Their struggle, filled with unresolved emotions and unspoken regrets, painted a tragic picture of two souls caught in a battle against time itself. While they were fighting, (Y/N) was just watching over them and processing Zaneri's words.

"(Y/n) Where are you? I know that you're here in this realm, even though you disappeared and I couldn't see you. I can still feel your presence filling up in this realm!" Meliodas shouted into the void, hoping that (Y/N) would somehow hear him. But (Y/N) remained silent, torn between revealing their existence and silently observing from the shadows.

As the battle continued, (Y/N) contemplated whether it was time to reveal herself. The voice echoed in her mind, reminding her of the bond they once shared. "I know that you can hear me (Y/N)," the voice whispered, filled with both longing and regret. "So mark my words," it continued.

"30,000 years ago, the world where you came from...

I mean, the world where WE came from!

I am really grateful that I met you in that world of ours.

I enjoyed every little thing I spent with you, and I cherish every moment we shared.

You're the only woman whom I adored the most."

The memories were returning to (Y/N). As she struggled to recall the details of her past, tears welled up in her eyes. She had always felt a deep connection to his voice, but now, hearing the raw emotion in his words, she realized just how much she had meant to this person. A mix of emotions flooded her heart: confusion, sadness, and a glimmer of hope. Could it be possible that the bond they once shared could be rekindled after all these years?

"300 centuries ago, I was going to tell you how I felt,

but the Demon King showed up and annihilated us.

Leaving you all alone and suffering in that world.

And when you appeared in this world, I had the same nostalgic feeling I had the first time I saw you.

So, I couldn't take my eyes off you since I was wondering where those nostalgic feelings came from.

I became aware of your presence when you were unintentionally sealed with the commandments. I understand that you were simply protecting Zeldris and Estarossa, but I was unable to turn around and help you because I was overcome by my own evil power and lost control." Meliodas continued as he was still clashing with Zaneri in an epic battle. The clash of their swords echoed through the air, each strike carrying the weight of their unresolved emotions.

"So, what could be the reason why you never gave up, (Y/n)?
It was all because of me!

And I appreciate you for that because you're still going strong.
I am always grateful to you (Y/n).

I also apologize for leaving you alone.

Sorry, I've made you wait for over 300 centuries.

Sorry for causing you so much pain and heartache. I know I let you down countless times, but you never gave up on me. You stayed faithful and patient, always believing that I would come back to you.

Thank you for finding me,

for never giving up on me,

for never letting go,

for always believing in me,

for being my constant source of inspiration and support,

for demonstrating to me that I am capable of overcoming any obstacles that are placed in my path,

for sticking by my side through thick and thin,

and for so many other things for which I am grateful.

I can't change the past, but I promise to spend the rest of my life making it up to you and showing you how much you mean to me.

You are my rock and my guiding light, and I will cherish you for eternity.

So, come back to me (Y/N)!"

Meliodas shouted as he kicked down Zaneri, causing her to fall to the ground in defeat. Meliodas was approaching Zaneri as she suddenly stood on her feet and made a trick move toward Meliodas, catching him off guard. Zaneri's eyes burned with determination as she retaliated with a powerful strike. The force of their clash sent shockwaves rippling through the battlefield, but Meliodas refused to back down.

"30,000 years ago in that world, I couldn't express my feelings,

and 3,000 years ago, I couldn't still express my feelings in this world we are currently living in.

This time, I'll take this opportunity to say that,

(Y/n)! Watashi wa anata ga sōzō dekiru ijō ni, anata o hontōni, hontōni, hontōni aishiteimasu!
(Y/n)! I really, really, really love you more than you can ever imagine!"

Meliodas shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing across the realm. (Y/n)'s heart skipped a beat as she looked up into Meliodas' emerald eyes, seeing the sincerity and vulnerability behind his words. In that instant, she knew that their bond was unbreakable, and together they would face any challenge that came their way.

Then the memories of (Y/n) flooded back, reminding her of all the joy and pain they had experienced together. She couldn't help but wonder if their connection was just as strong as it had once been. Maybe fate had brought them back together for a reason, giving them a chance to heal old wounds and rewrite their story. As hope flickered in her heart, she realized that confronting the past and rebuilding their bond would require courage, forgiveness, and a willingness to let go of the pain that had haunted them for centuries.

(Y/n)'s POV

Tears welled up in my eyes as I listened to Meliodas' confession. After a while, I took off my invisible because I could see that Meliodas and Zaneri were still engaged in combat. Between Meliodas and Zaneri, I showed up with my battle appearance.

I grasped Zaneri's neck as she coughed, and she was surprised that I had intervened. She looked as if she couldn't believe I was there in front of her. I threw her on the ground with a force that made the entire realm shake. As she struggled to get up, I could see the fear in her eyes, realizing that her reign of terror was finally coming to an end. My voice filled with determination, I declared, "It's time to put an end to this madness, Zaneri." With each word, I could feel the weight of centuries of pain being lifted off my shoulders. "How could you regain your memories of him when I sealed them away?" Zaneri asked in a trembling voice. But I stood tall, unaffected by her feeble attempt to distract me. "Love is a force stronger than any seal," I replied, a glint of triumph in my eyes. "And I will never let the memory of him be erased." Zaneri's face twisted with rage and desperation as she realized that her power was no match for the power of love and resilience that fueled me. With one final act of defiance, she summoned her remaining strength for a last-ditch attack, but I effortlessly deflected it, sending her crumbling to the ground once again. "I've known your true identity ever since you joined us, Zaneri, one of the four Archangels. I treated you as a friend, but in the end you betrayed me because of your own selfish desires," I said with a calm but firm voice. The once formidable Zaneri now lies helpless before me, defeated by her own arrogance. "You're corrupted by your own power and ambition. You thought you could control everything and everyone, but in the end, it was your downfall," I continued, a mix of pity and contempt in my voice. Zaneri's eyes filled with anger and regret as she struggled to find her voice. "If only you didn't exist, he could be mine," she muttered weakly, her voice barely a whisper. She had chosen her path, and now she had to face the consequences.

I took a step closer, a smirk creeping across my face. "Oh, but my dear Zaneri, that's where you're mistaken," I said, my voice dripping with satisfaction.

"Even if I didn't exist, even if you had succeeded in your twisted plan, he would never be yours. Love cannot be forced or fabricated. It is earned, not demanded." I sneered, relishing in her pain.

"You played with fire, and now you're just a mere flicker, about to be extinguished."

With that, I whispered, "Forever goodbye, Zaneri; may peace finally find you in death." As I stood on the ground, I looked into her face once more and said coldly, "Die," which caused her to peacefully rest in eternal slumber. The weight of her betrayal and manipulation had finally caught up to her, leaving her lifeless body disappearing as a stark reminder of the consequences of attempting to control someone's heart. I turned away, ready to move on from this dark chapter in my life, knowing that I had triumphed over her and reclaimed my freedom.
