Meliodas POV

White was all I saw as I went through the door, my heart pounding with anticipation. The blinding light engulfed me, yet I felt no fear, only determination fueling me forward. As my vision slowly adjusted, I gasped in awe at the breathtaking sight before me.

A realm of untold beauty stretched out endlessly, its serene ambiance promising endless possibilities. With a renewed sense of purpose, I took a step forward, knowing that this ethereal world held the answers I sought to bring (Y/n) back to life.

I was walking in this endless realm as a voice suddenly echoed through the air, a gentle whisper that seemed to come from the very essence of the place. "Seek, and you shall find," it murmured, guiding me towards a path veiled in mystique. Intrigued, I followed the ethereal voice, my heart pulsating with hope. With each step, the air grew sweeter, carrying whispers of forgotten secrets and ancient wisdom. I knew then that I had entered a realm where the impossible became possible and where love transcended even the boundaries of life and death. As I followed the ethereal voice, there was a figure standing at the end of the path, bathed in an otherworldly glow. I ran towards the figure since I could feel the familiarity of her presence, as if I had known them in another lifetime. As I drew closer, my eyes widened in recognition. "(Y/n)!" I exclaimed joyfully, but my excitement was short-lived as I noticed her eyes were vacant and lost. "Who are you?" she asked. My eyes welled up with tears, and I embraced (Y/N) as she knelt down slowly. "It's me, Meliodas," I replied. I moved back from embracing her, and desperately, I tried to explain our shared memories and our unbreakable bond, but her vacant expression remained unchanged. In that moment, my heart shattered, realizing that her soul had been lost somewhere along the way.

"Even though it's the first time I've heard your name," (Y/n) spoke softly, her hand hovering over her chest, "it makes my chest hurt, as if it remembers something lost." I could see a flicker of recognition in her eyes. Hope flooded my veins as I reached out for her hand, hoping to reignite the spark of our connection. With a gentle squeeze, she whispered, "Maybe, even if I can't remember, my heart still knows you." Then there's a sudden gust of wind: "Don't you dare take (Y/N) away from this place!" a voice boomed, interrupting our moment. "Show yourself!" I shouted. As the wind continued to howl around us, a figure emerged from the shadows—a small, familiar silhouette that was approximately my height. I tightened my grip on her hand, silently vowing to protect our connection no matter what obstacles stood in our way. "Zaneri!" I exclaimed in disbelief, recognizing the all-too-familiar voice.

I asked, "What do you mean by *don't you dare take (Y/N) away from this place!*" My voice was filled with a mix of confusion and anger. Zaneri's eyes bore into mine, filled with determination and a hint of desperation. "I mean exactly what I said," she replied, her voice quivering slightly. "Just leave her here and go back," she continued, her plea echoing in the realm. The weight of her words hit me like a wave, threatening to drown me in uncertainty. But I couldn't abandon our bond, not after everything we had been through. With a firm resolve, I shook my head and declared, "No, Zaneri. I won't leave her behind. We've fought too hard for this love, and I won't let anyone tear us apart. Then a little air current formed between me and (Y/n). "Just get away from her!" Zaneri yelled as the air current expanded in a burst of energy, pushing me away from (Y/n). My heart raced as I stumbled backward, my eyes locked with Zaneri's fury-filled gaze. The intensity of the moment felt suffocating, as if the entire realm held its breath. Yet, even in the face of this unexpected opposition, my determination only grew stronger. With adrenaline pumping through my veins, /I stood back up straight, refusing to let Zaneri's anger intimidate me. I could feel the power within me growing, fueling my resolve to protect (Y/n) at all costs. As I took a step forward, a surge of energy crackled around me, my hands sparking with an otherworldly light. In that instant, I knew I would not back down.

"Just why her and not me?!" she yelled in anger. I could see the pain and frustration in Zaneri's eyes as she shouted, her voice echoing through the room. It was clear that she didn't understand why I was willing to risk everything for (Y/n), and not for her. But in that moment, I realized that my decision wasn't about choosing one over the other; it was about protecting someone I deeply cared for. While Zaneri was blinded by her anger, I knew that I had made the right choice, and I was prepared to face whatever consequences would come my way. "It's because she's the one I love, Zaneri!" I exclaimed. "Although I did everything for you," she muttered. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Did you know the time when you guys were at the Istar island? Well, I put the seed in the cup, but Elizabeth didn't manage to make the seed sprout. And I know you're wondering why I put the seed right? Because I'm looking for the fragments of (Y/n), and I thought it was Elizabeth, but she's not. And are you wondering why I am looking for her? Well, it's just to kill her before you found her, but it seems that I failed," Zaneri said while placing her hand on her chin. "I never thought I would hear such twisted words from you," I replied, my voice filled with disbelief. "The fragments of (Y/n), you say? And you wanted to kill Elizabeth? What has gotten into you, Zaneri? We used to be friends, but now I see a side of you that I never knew existed." Zaneri looked at me, her expression hardening. "It's because you don't understand my love for you, Meliodas," she said coldly.

"Ever since that time, 3000 years ago, when we were on a journey with (Y/n), your eyes only looked at her but not me. And at the time when (Y/n) were accidentally sealed, I thought you could be mine since she's gone, but I was wrong. You set out on your own, traveling alone. But the only thing I couldn't understand is that why can you love Liz and not me?" Zaneri demanded.

"I thought that (Y/N) would be gone forever, so I lavished my love on Liz since I could feel and knew that she was a piece of (Y/N) that I could hold onto. But my love for Liz was not the same as what I felt for (Y/n). They may share a connection, but they are not the same person. I realize now that my love for (Y/n) cannot be replaced or transferred onto another. I am sorry, Zaneri, but my heart will always belong to (Y/n). 3000 years ago, when the 10 commandments were being sealed, I lost control of myself, and when I sensed the presence of (Y/n) with the 10 commandments, I couldn't completely turn back, but I saw a glimpse of something coming out of her body, and it was her fragments since I was overwhelmed by darkness. All I could do was walk away from them. So, I set out on my own to find the fragments of (Y/n), and I settled in the Kingdom of Danafor, where I met Liz, who had the same presence as (Y/n), and it was then that I realized she was one of (Y/n)'s fragments," I explained to her.

"Would you love me if I killed (Y/n), Meliodas?" Zaneri questioned, laughing evilly. I looked at Zaneri in disbelief, her question sending chills down my spine. How could she even consider killing (Y/N)? My heart ached at the thought of it. With determination in my eyes, I firmly replied, "No, I would never love you if you harm (Y/n). I'm here to bring her back."

Then I looked in the direction where (Y/n) was separated from me, and she was nowhere to be found.
