There you were, waiting for Loki in the star tower. It was 2012, in new York. Loki just got captured by the avengers. You were there to set him free.

You and Loki had been best friends for awhile now. Although lately you had been feeling more. You didn't have any special powers. You were just an Asgardian. Almost like a human but just.. better at fighting. Still Loki seemed to like you.

There were a lot of guards from shield. The fact that they hadn't seen you yet was absurd. You were standing there, peeking past a wall, with a full visual on the elevator.

You saw him heading out. Thor and Tony infront of him and 5 guards behind him. His mouth was sealed and he was wearing cuffs. He still looked amazing, a little roughed up but that was okay.

The second a struggle for the case with the tesseract broke out, you walked away behind the wall. Loki looked at you and you gave him a cocky smile.

The case rolled across the ground and one of the guards picked it up and took it towards the stairs. Right at the point the hulk left the stairs way.

'No stairs!' The hulk yelled.

The case fell onto the ground and opened up. You ran towards the tesseract and picked it up before grabbing Loki's hand. He looked around and make you two disappear.

It didn't take long before you two came crashing down from the sky. You body hit the hard ground. Apperently a place with a lot of sand.

It was smoking hot, there was sand everywhere in your clothes and you had no idea where you were. You slowly sat up and looked around. Where did Loki take you to now?

You got up. This place had a whole load of sandhill and nothingness. You saw Loki laying in the sand. You headed towards him and dropped yourself to your knees besides him. You pulled his mouth restrain from him. Loki opened his eyes and got rid of some sand that was on his arm. He stared up at you and slow sat up.

'Well, hello.' He said.

'Hey.' You smiled at him. 'Seems like you took us to the middle of nowhere.'

'That was the point.'

You looked ahead of you. A group of people approached you. They probably lived in a village nearby. Loki looked at them.

'Loki, don't.' You sighed.

He got up and climbed into a rock to face them.

'Loki, you don't always have to be like this.'

He looked at them.

'I am Loki of Asgard.' He started.

You already cringed. The amount of times he tried this and failed at it.. it was getting tiring.

'And I am burdened with glorious purpose!'

One of the girls said something in Mongolian to you. You had no idea what she was saying. You just walked towards Loki.

'I-'

He looked at you in confusion. You couldn't help but snort at him. Your attention was then taking away quickly. A transparent, yellow box suddenly appeared in the sky.

2 man and a woman dressed in heavy gear walked out. The kneeled down right besides the tesseract. You looked at Loki.

'Never mind.' Loki sighed.

'Dont touch that.' You hissed while stepping towards the group.

Loki followed right behind you. They stumbled back and grabbed some weird looking combat sticks. They pointed the sharp end at you two while another portal opened. Another girl came out. She looked intimidating. Loki pushed you behind him. His first instinct was the protect you.

'Appears to be a standard sequence violation.' She said while stepping forwards and looking around.

She held up a brown small.. phone? Tablet? You had no idea what that thing was. It was unlike anything you had seen before.

'Branch is growing at a stable rate and slope.'

'Loki.. what's this. What enemies have you made this time.' You whispered at him.

'Not them.' He told you.

'Varients identified.' She spoke.

Variants? What?

'I beg your pardon?' Loki asked.

'Varients?'

She lowered her pad and stared at you two.

'On behalf of the Time Varience Authority, I hereby arrest you two for crimes against the Sacred Timeline.'

You had no idea what she just said. What was she talking about? Sacred timeline?

'On behalf of the what now? You arrested is for what?' You asked.

'Hands up. You're coming with us.'

The guards turned they bats around and they started glowing yellow at the top. As if they were now powered on. You held onto Lokis arm as a reaction.

'I'm sorry, who's "us"?' Loki asked while laying his hand on yours.

Now the woman also powered up her weapon.. but hers was blue. He was clearly trying to make you feel comfortable but you didn't.

'Last chance, Varients.'

'Am I supposed to be insulted by you calling me a.. Varient?' You asked.

Loki chuckled and slowly let you go.

'It's been a long day.' He said while looking back at them. 'And I think I've had my fill of idiots in armoured suits, telling me what to do.'

Why did Loki always have the make everything so difficult. They now walked towards you. He was going to get your killed. You grabbed a better hold him, trying to find some stability.

'So, if you don't mind. This is actually your last chance.' Loki smirked. 'Now get out of my way.'

Loki pulled himself out of your grip and walked towards her. He got hit in the face by the blue part of the weapon and he started falling.. very slowly. You ran over to her but she did the exact same to you.

'You are now moving at 1/16th speed..' She said while putting a collar on you.

She walked towards Loki and did the same to him.

'But feeling all the pain in real time.'

You both crashed to the ground. You got pulled up by two of the guards and taken back. You looked back at Loki who was right behind you.

'Rest the timeline.'

They put down a little device while grabbing the tesseract and taking you towards their portal.

'Loki..' You said right before going through.
