↑ I feel like this should be Mekhi's anthem... ↑

II didn't get far. I heard a twang, then a woosh by my ear, and there was a sudden tug on my shirt, and I was pulled to a halt. An arrow had torn through my sleeve and had anchored me to a tree. I glanced back at the guys. I must've ran fast, because they seemed very, very far away. Archer had a bow and arrow raised, which made me realize his name was probably fake. Ash stood slightly behind him. And Mekhi... was nowhere to be seen. My heart jumped in my throat, and I quickly tore myself away from the arrow. I stumbled backwards, searching in the trees and the ground around me. I looked back around to see Archer was running towards me, cape flying around his shoulders.

I turned and began to run again. My bare feet pushed against the damp leaves and dirt silently. Why am I so quiet? I wondered, but only for a brief second. I ducked my head as I heard another woosh of wind, another arrow lodged itself in a tree that I ran past. I heard voices, Archer and Ash's. Where was Mekhi?

A force knocked me down, and I tumbled onto the ground, along with another figure.

There he was.

We scrambled to our feet, and he ran forward and tackled me down again. I grunted as I tried shoving him away. He straddled my waist, holding my wrists, next to my head, crouching so that most of his weight was on my arms. He leaned down, his breath fanning across my face.

"Hello, again, Isaak." He huffed. He sounded out of breath. I wasn't. "Your fast, you know. Ever tried sprinting back on Earth?"

"Get off me, arsehole!"

"So you can run away again? No thanks. We just want to help you."

I glared at him. "So you shoot arrows at me and hold me into the ground? Good job, you're doing really well."

"Hey..." he brushed his lips against my cheek. I whimpered softly, making him chuckle. "There's no need to be so feisty."

"Pervert!" I managed to snap. He laughed again.

"You're such a virgin."

I blushed with shock. Yeah, I was. A sudden, random realization flashed over me. Is that why Kyle dumped me? Because I didn't want sex? I frowned at Mekhi, hoping he didn't notice the furious red on my cheeks. "Am not." I muttered.  "And so what if I was!"

"Don't get defensive, being a virgin is cute. Most onama are anyway."

"Fuck." I muttered. "Stop with this onama thing! You're hot but the crazy part turns people off."

"No, being crazy just makes me hotter." He winked at me, still so close our noses were touching.

"Arrogance spoils your look too." I murmured. "Why are you so happy? I swear you're bipolar."

He laughed yet again. "I agree." Suddenly he leaned away.

"Mekhi!" Called Archer. "What on Tabara are you doing?"

"Holding him." Came the short reply.

"He's not a hostage."

"At least I wasn't shooting arrows at him."

"I have a good aim, I wasn't going to hurt him."

"I have good hands, I'm not going to hurt him either."

Good hands. That made me blush. Jeez, I'm too easy. As I said before, I crush quickly and hard. Unfortunately Mekhi was hot, flirtatious in a dangerous way and seemingly interested in me. Those three reasons were making him win me over, and it was scary.

"Just get off him Mekhi." Archer sighed.

"He'll run. He runs fast."

"You can keep holding him! Just get off!"

Mekhi sighed and hopped off me, still holding my wrists tight. I sat up.

Don't worry, Mekhi's mood is confusing me too. That's just him though ;-)
