She wakes up breathing heavily, tears shading out of her eyes and I pull her for a tight hug to calm her down.

"Shh, I'm here." I utter. "No one is going anywhere, it was just a nightmare." I continue.  "Okay?" She nods slowly.

I wipe away her tears as I cuddle her and we both sleep. If there's anyone I'm going to believe, is Elena. Dr Anthony said nothing about Elena's allergies affecting her mind and concentration, I've got to find out what Lisa is up to or her intentions.

"Good morning, Mr Harris." I wake up to a beautiful face starring at me and looking better than yesterday.

"Hey, sleepy head." I let out, caressing her face as I am about to go for her lips but her phone disturbs.

"It's my dad." She says, looking frightened as she reads the text. I sit up straight.

"What's wrong?" I ask, but instead she starts to run around trying to get dressed. "Elena, is everything okay?" I continue as I block her way.

"I don't know, my dad just texted me to get home asap." She replies, getting her hand out of my grip as she takes her stuff. "I'll call you." She continues as she runs out.

I sit back on my bed, sighing as I bend my head. She suddenly comes back running.

"Oh, can I get a day off?" She inquires, but before I could answer she continues.  "Thank you, I love you." She kisses me once off as she runs back out.

I take out my phone as I call my personal IT man, I need to find out more about Elena and why her dad would call her up out of a sudden for an emergency.

Wait, did she just say she loves me? Gosh, I'm blushing.

"Derrick, I need you to look through something." I request.

ELENA

"Dad, what's wrong?" I barge into my own home, throwing my bag away as I run to my dad who is in the living room.

"Oh, sweetheart. You're safe." My dad let's out, giving me a hug.

"Why wouldn't I be? What's wrong?" I interrogate.

"Have a seat." My dad says, and I grab a seat wondering what could be the problem. "Your mother is back in town." He continues.

My what?

"My mother?" I ask in a whisper, like there's somebody else rather than us.

"Yes, and I know she's up to no good." My dad let's out as she stands up, and he looks a lot terrified about this. "Look, I'll have someone guard you for the time being. I can't be still if I know you're walking alone." My dad affirms, already making calls without wanting to hear my opinion.

Mother? What does she want? I wonder what does she look like. Exactly like in the photos? One thing I've realized is that I am my father's daughter of course but do i look like him? No. But how does a woman leave her only child for luxury? Who does that? Clearly my mom.

The day goes by, my dad heads out and I am left alone with a puzzle of my life. I ignore all calls, thinking I need some time out to think clearly and all stuff. But I get a surprise visit from the boss himself, Justin Harris.

"Justin, what are you doing here?" I ask, but he just smiles as he let's himself in.

"The place is boring without you, I came to check up on you." He replies. "How are you feeling?" He continues.

"I'm good." I sigh, offering him a seat as I sit beside him. "My dad got me a bodyguard. He believes my mom would try to do something to harm me." I trail off.

"And how do you feel about that?" Justin asks. So, this is basically how the rest of my day goes. Telling Justin about how I feel about everything.

No offense to my dad raising me up alone, but I still want to meet my mom. I want go look at her in the eyes and get the answers as to why she chose to leave me in the first place, hear it from the horse's mouth.

After Justin and I have lunch, we travel around my family gallery. Which is filled of my dad and mom's pictures while they were teenagers and also me when I was young, which some I hid since they were so embarrassing.

"You looked like such a vibrant child." Justin comments, and I giggle.

"Oh, please." I utter.

"Ding! Ding!" There goes the door bell.

"Let me just get that." I stand up to the door.

On opening the door, I find a female figure standing behind the door step in all black. From her black stilleto heels I can notice under her long floral dress with a big sunset and she even has gloves on. Talk about her black shades and mask.

"HI, can I help you?" I ask.

I am caught offguard by her reaction. I can sense her shook through her hidden face, she takes off her shades for the least and I see tears form in her eyes. She holds one of her hands to her chest as she looks like she is about to have a heart attack, but instead she quickly walks away.

"Wait!" I try to yell, but a big range rover car pulls over and takes her away at the very same second she walks outside the gate. "Mom." My voice becomes cracky as I hold tight to the door while going down. Tears also forming in my eyes.

It is her. I just saw my mother. Even though I got just the glance of her, but her eyes were enough for me to tell that it's her. Justin shows up already holding me from the ground.

"Elena." He breaths.

"It was her. I saw her." I assert, but Justin decides to give me a glass of water.

"You saw who?" He asks. Why do I feel like he is not about to believe me. Test him?

"My mother. I'm certain it was her, Justin. I saw her eyes and i recognised them from the photos, it's her." I utter, and Justin pulls me in for a hug as he caresses my hair and he lays a kiss on my head.

"I believe you, let's get you a rest first okay." He says, and I nod as he takes me to my room.

JUSTIN

I feel like a husband. Talk about taking responsibility and taking care of your girl. Wait, am I really falling this hard for Elena.

I watch her snuggle herself to bed, looking at me mercifully like she does not want me to leave. I remove strings of her hair from her face, curling it behind her ear as she forms a smile on her face. I notice the tiny star birth mark and a cross I am very familiar with behind her ear, and I lay a kiss on her forehead.

On planning on leaving after, the moment I hold the door knob to walk out, I meet Elena's father behind the door. My, he looks shocked. I don't blame him.

What should I do?

I clear my throat as i bend my head to scratch the back of my head. Rising up, I still find him looking shook at me. Okay, I should probably introduce myself.

"Mr Sam." I let out nervously.

"Yes, and who are you?" He asks.

"Oh, I am Justin Harris. I work with Elena so I just came by to check up on her." I reply, and the father walks in as he even chuckles and leaves me at the door wondering. Was that it?

"Come have a seat, tell me how has she been." He states.

I slowly turn as I walk towards him, and instead of sitting, I decide to remain on my feet. He surely does look like a formal man, what is he? I start thinking. But my eyes meet the white priest collar on his neck as I study him. My eyes nearly fall out of their sockets of shock. Elena's father's is a priest!

"Um...she is okay I can say...um...oh, there's a woman who arrived here about an hour ago and Elena thinks that it was her mother and..." Before I go any further, I am cut by Mr Sam's phone ringing.

"Please excuse me for a second." He pardons, heading to the next room.

I watch him as he talks on the phone for something less than five minutes as he does not seem okay at all after the call. I look at him as he comes back, his eyes written pity in them.

"Can you please stay for a little longer, I've got a sudden emergency to rush to." He begs. "I know you're probably a busy man but I wouldn't ask you this if it weren't important." He continues, and I chuckle because if only he knew how much I adore his daughter.

"Of course, Mr Sam. Do what you gotta do." At my saying, he forms a big smile on his face as he pats my back before he hurriedly leaves.

I sigh as I lock the door behind him, for safety of course. I head to Elena's room, finding her still asleep, i take off my suit jacket as I lay down facing up at the ceiling until I have fallen asleep.

6PM

"Morning, sleepy head." I am waken up by Elena at my face and tracing her fingers on my chest. I smile.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"Probably six." She replies, starting to lay kisses on my chest as she starts to unbutton my shirt.

"Wait, is your father not back yet?" I inquire. I wouldn't want a person of his position seeing something like this. By the way, how is a wild girl like this the priest's daughter?

"No, he's probably still busy at this time. How are you still here by the way?" She starts to seem like a bell just rang in her mind as she even pauses to kiss and unbutton my shit.

"I met your dad on my way out, we talked and then he asked me to babysit his little princess while he ran some emergency errands." I answer, poking her nose at the end. "And you didn't mention that your dad is a priest." I proceed, and she giggles.

"You wouldn't believe me." She utters.

"Would you blame me if I didn't?" I ask, and she continues giggling as she throws a pillow at me.

"I'm going to take a shower, you can join me if you want." She stands up from the bed to head to the bathroom, and I immediately jump off to start undressing while running to the bathroom.
