(Part 2 of "Love In The End Zone)

Spencer was in a stretcher as they placed an oxygen mask over his face and I was walking next to him as he reached for his oxygen mask pulling it down "Y/N" he faintly said reaching for my hand as tears were rolling down my face. "Y/N you can't go beyond this point with him" one of the nurses expressed as I continued to hold onto his hand and they lifted his mask up.

I then seen a black nurse join the rest of the nurses side. She looked at me "we're going to take good care of him okay" she assured as I nodded some looking down at him. "He's okay" she added as I was trying to let go but Spencer continued to hold my hand.

"Ma'am you cannot go beyond this point two nurses said stopping me as they rolled him beyond the double doors and I started crying harder. I felt someone wrap their arms around me as I immediately wrapped my arms around them sobbing into their chest. By the cologne I knew it was my uncle. He rubbed my back softly "come on go get checked out" he said as I went into a triage room where the nurse was asking me questions.

"My wrist feels a little sore but I'm okay" I assured "can you move it?" She questioned as I just sighed to myself and nodded. "They wrapped it up with a bad Dave as an officer came into the room. "Hi I just want you to explain what happened and I'm going to ask you a couple questions" he started off. "Okay" I agreed. I started explaining exactly what happened as he started interrupting.

"Is he in a gang?" He asked as I looked at him crazy "no" I answered. "You sure it wasn't a drop gone wrong?" He questioned. "No he's not apart of any gang" I stressed. "Did he try to pull you in front of where the gun was aiming?" He asked. "No Spencer just saved my life why is that so hard to comprehend?!" I asked fed up. "Never mind I'll wait for my family to get here to answer your questions. "I already started asking you" he said getting a little aggravated. "And I said I'll wait" I repeated as Auntie Laura walked in as my mother followed behind and they started handling everything.

"Come on baby" my mother said reaching for me "you okay?" Auntie Laura asked rubbing my back as I nodded and headed to the waiting area as Jordan immediately got up and hugged me. Along with Jordan Coop, Patience, serenity and Darnell did also. I just sniffled as Jordan looked down at me "you alright?" Jordan asked as I nodded. "He jumped in front of a bullet for her, she's okay I'm sure" we heard olivia say as she was sitting in the waiting area seat.

I just shook my head not even wanting to deal with her. I just sat down waiting slowly everyone one by one left as I was the only person next to Miss Grace and Uncle Billy. I looked at my phone reading five-Thirty AM. "He's okay" The nurse from earlier said as I felt as if a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders.  "When can we see him?" I asked. "Well right now he's sleeping" she informed "all your other friends went home to get some rest. you should probably do the same" she said with a sweet smile.

Miss Grace rubbed my back "sweetie go get cleaned up and come later on" she said before kissing my head. Uncle Billy reached out for me as he placed his arms over my shoulders and we walked out the hospital. He dropped me at home as I went upstairs to my room closing the door behind me. I just turned and looked at myself in the mirror as my make up and hair was everywhere and I noticed Spencer's blood was all over me And my dress.

I walked inside my bathroom as I started my shower. I unzipped my dress as It slid off and I got into the shower. I immediately begun to cry to myself feeling as if somehow this was my fault and that maybe if he hadn't jumped in front of me he'd be the one with a sprained wrist and I'd be the one in the hospital. I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn't even realize I was just standing there in the shower.

I washed up scrubbing all the blood off of me then got out. I just threw on a big shirt and smacked some lotion on my body going to get in the bed. I laid there hearing the birds chirp as it was still dark outside. I wanted to call him Just to hear his voice but I knew he was resting and I didn't want to wake him.

I knew I needed to relax to go to bed but couldn't. I got up beginning to look around the room as I was trying to see if I had an Oxycodone or something. I then found a plastic zip block bag with two inside and realized that it's exactly what I was looking for.

I just looked at it for a moment then went into my bathroom flushing it down the toilet. I started to see if there was anymore in the room but there wasn't. I just sat on the bed and closed my eyes some. Pills wasn't doing shit for me but surpressing my feelings when I knew I needed to get some real help and I wasn't going to keep doing it putting my life on the line.

I looked at my clock reading it almost being seven o clock. I just popped a melatonin as my phone vibrated and it was a text from Patience stating how the shooter was Tyrone. I immediately started to cry again. Trying to tell myself it wasn't my fault but it felt like it was, had I not even talked to him that night we met maybe Spencer wouldn't be in the hospital right now.

I was so overwhelmed and cried so much I ended up falling asleep.

Spencer

I just woke up from surgery as I seen my mother and Dillon. She faintly smiled and kissed my head. "Where's Y/N?!" I started off "is she okay?" I asked. "Y/N is fine baby. She stayed until almost six this morning and I sent her home" my mother started "she needed to get cleaned up and some rest" she said as I let out a breath of relief. "She's okay" she assured with a smile.

"How's your arm?" Dillon asked "I'm good" I assured as a doctor came in doing an evaluation on my hand and arm on the side I was shot at. After the first try it went really good. The doctor explained with physical therapy I could get back to playing within no time. I felt around for my phone about to call Y/N but someone knocked on the door before peeking in as I seen Layla and Olivia. I just sighed to myself some.

"Hey how are you feeling?" Layla questioned. "I'm straight. "I'm sorry about my cousin, you didn't have to take the bullet for her" Olivia apologized as I shook my head. "She's straight, all that matters is that she's safe" I started off "I'd take again for her" I admitted as Olivia and Layla laughed some but I was serious.

"You should probably get some more sleep" Layla said as Olivia looked down at her phone. "Coop just said it was Tyrone" Olivia answered as Layla looked over at Olivia and I just looked towards the window. "Wait isn't that who Y/N was dealing with?" Layla asked. "They wasn't like that and she left him alone homecoming night" I answered. "You sure?" Olivia started off "yes I'm sure Olivia" I said aggravated.

"We're just looking out for you" Layla said. "You're not though, all you two doing are making it worse." I started off with aggravation in my tone. I then took a breath. "Can you two go please? I'm tired" I lied as they didn't move. "Now" I said through my teeth as they got up "we love you okay?" Olivia assured as they headed towards the door. They walked out and closed the door behind them as I groaned to myself.

I tried FaceTiming Y/N but she didn't answer as I just laid there watching whatever was playing on the hospital TV.  Throughout the day I seen different people who came to check up on me including Miss. Y/M/N and Storm. Around 6 there was a knock on the door. "Come in" I said as I seen Y/N peeked in and I immediately smiled. She closed the door behind herself as she had two "Get well" Balloons along with a box of pizza.

I looked at her attire as she had on a purple sweater along with a pair of jeans and a pair of all white high top converses.

Her hair was still down like last night except it was straight and she had on a pair of glasses.

"Did you eat yet?" She asked "nah what kind you got?" I asked sitting up some as she placed the balloons next to my bed. "I meats lovers" she informed as I smiled some. "I don't have any plates but-" she started off "it's fine just sit in on my lap" I assured as she sat it on top of the blanket that was covering my legs.

She then opened the box and broke me off a piece. She then pulled a chair beside my bed. "I've been looking for you all day. I thought you weren't going to see me" I joked as she shook her head "Spencer you're in the hospital, I will make it my business to come and see you" she assured grabbing a piece of pizza. "Besides I was sleep for most of the day and I had to get my thoughts together, I didn't think you wanted to see me" she admitted looking at her pizza before biting into it as I looked at her crazy.

"Why would you think that?!" I questioned as she looked at me and shook her head "it doesn't matter, don't worry about it" she said with a warm smile. "What did the doctors say?" She asked. "Well I had the surgery to remove the bullet and they're saying I just need physical therapy and I should be back out playing in no time" I explained. "Don't rush it spence" she said eyeing me. "I won't" I assured. "Mhm" she said as I chuckled we finished eating and talking about everything the doctor went over with me.

"Do you want to talk about last night?" I asked as she looked over at me "about you getting shot?" She asked confused "no when you were dancing with Darnell" I brought up as she laughed "you're so jealous" she jokingly said as I chuckled "I'm not talking about that" I said as she just looked at me. "It's nothing" she said throwing out the pizza box and washing her hands.

"There's something I want you to have" she started off as I looked over at her "what?" I asked "I was going to give it to you when your father passed but it wasn't ready, then Valentine's Day but it still wasn't ready and then we ended up breaking up." She explained "what is it?" I asked then smiled.

"It's something Coop helped me with" she said as I felt my phone vibrate. "Don't play it now, wait until I'm gone and you're ready to listen to it" she instructed "and it's just for you, nobody else can listen to it" she added as I just smiled. "Okay" I agreed making her smile she then looked out the window "come see this" she said as I sat up slowly and she helped me up some as we walked to the Window seeing people standing outside my hospital window holding signs up in support to me.

"You did this?" I asked "well everyone couldn't come up here and see you." She said looking outside while smiling. "Cam out there" she said nodding her head towards the crowd as I looked out the window. "How did you get cams ass out here?" I asked in a chuckle. "In the words of cam, all that school yard beef is nothing, you're family at the end of the day" she explained causing me to smile.

"Now go sit down for you fall over somewhere" she joked as I chuckled. I got back in the bed and she sat back in the chair next to the bed. I looked over at her. "Come here" I said

as she gave a faint smile and I moved over some in my hospital bed making room for her. She climbed in next to me draping her arm over my stomach. I then kissed her head.
"I guess "Die for you" we really meant that shit literally." I joked "please no" she asked "come on it's a good joke" I started off "a great joke even" he added. "No" she said "I scared you huh?" I asked turning my head to look at her. "You keep it up I'm going to leave earlier than planned" she said as I just chuckled.

"This whole distancing we're doing is kind of hard" I admitted "I know but it's for the best" she simply said then went quiet. There was a knock on the door as we seen Olivia walk in slowly. "I should probably go" Y/N said as she got up. "Nah where you going?" I asked grabbing her arm. "You and Olivia got things to work out" she said with a faint smile as she soon walked out and I just looked at Olivia.
