I want someone to love me ~ Lil Nas X

"Miss.Hill, can you please see me after class," Mr.Myers said to me in passing my desk. I nodded in understanding and he went back to his desk.

Soon the bell rang and the students began to flow out the room. I gathered my stuff in my hands and walked to the front desk.

"You wanted to see me?" I asked.

He smiled and gestures for me to pull a chair up. I did as he suggested and sat nervously, intertwining my fingers.

"Yes, I wanted to let you know that your grade has improved immensely since last time we met." He showed me the screen and this time a cool 86 sat next to my name. I instantly perked up at the good news.

"I'm glad Mr.Simon was able to help you, if you think you are ready, you no longer need to take lessons from him." He told me.

I nodded my head again and let out a breath. I actually liked studying with Victor, now he has no reason to spend time with me.

Giving Mr.Myers a bright smile I thanked him and left to my next class.

My history class was surprisingly half full. The teacher wasn't even in the classroom yet. I took a seat beside Victor, beating Anne this time.

"Hey Victor," I said to him. He eyed me probably wondering why I was talking to him in school. I mean it's no use the cats already out of the bag.

"My science teacher said you don't have to tutor me anymore, so I guess you're free from ur chores," I half joked.

He just blinked  a few times and nodded his head turning to the board. I felt a faint stab in my chest at Victors nonchalance, I at least expect a sigh of relief or a smirk. Something.

I too turned to the board as the teacher then walked in and then began speaking.

Knock knock.

"Yes," I said to whoever was on the opposite side of the door. Cora walked in flopping herself on my bed. I giggled at her as she laid face down on my bed. "What's up Cora?"

"My stupid boyfriend, he said he wanted to take out on a date!" She huffed.

"Isn't that supposed to be a good thing?"

She shook her head, sitting up on her knees. "I didn't tell anyone but you about him. Mom is going to go all protective mama bear on me and Victor will be right next to her convincing her I shouldn't go."

I tapped my chin thoughtfully, that is difficult. "So what are you going to do, did you tell him if you would go or not?"

"Yes!" She cried. "I really like him Aniya, I don't know what to do," she said burying her face in my bed again.

I rubbed her back as I thought of something helpful to say. "Why don't you just tell her he's a friend?"

"She would want to meet him and then freak out when she realizes we would be alone."

"Why don't you just bring a friend with you then?"

She looked down thinking it over but then perked up and looking at me with hope in her eyes. "Or... you can come with me, you won't have to stay the whole time, he's taking us to the mall."

"I guess I can do that for you we can just tell your mom we're going to the mall and she won't be suspicious." I reasoned.

"That's perfect," Cora clapped her hands. She wrapped her arms around me, "Thank you thank you thank you!"

I laughed hugging her back, "you're welcome."

"So you guys are going to the mall for a few hours," Kendall stood in front of us, it was the next morning and she was mixing some pancake batter in a bowl.

"Yeah," I nodded. I looked over at Cora and noticed she was gripping onto the hem of her skirt a little too tight. I grabbed her hands and place them on her lap.

"Cool, have fun," Kendall winked.

Victor walked in the kitchen, his hair a mess and a pair of grey sweatpants and a simple white tee on. His eyes slid to me, making my breath stutter for a second. He kissed Kendall on the cheek before taking a seat in front of us.

"Victor, Aniya and Cora are going to the mall today, you want to go with them?"

Before Victor opened his mouth, Cora blurted a huge "no" in his favor. His eyebrows scrunched at her weird behavior. He looked over at me and I tried my best to keep my poker face on but ended up looking away.

"Yeah, I'll go," he said slowly, watching Cora's reaction carefully.

"Cool, let me finish these pancakes and you guys can head out." She turned around, venturing further in the kitchen.

I smacked a hand to my forehead, at the sudden change in plans.

When we got to the mall, Cora anxiously waited by the Auntie Anne's pretzel place. Victor has been asking what we're doing for the past five minutes but we just ignored him.

Cora finally stoped pacing when she saw a familiar person approach. I quickly went to Victors side pulling his arm towards me. "Whatever happens, just stay cool. Cora is a growing teenager and is beginning to experience new things in her life so don't mess this up for her."

A scrawny boy soon approached us wearing a cute grey hoodie and beige pants. He was a few inches taller than Cora but definitely not as tall as Victor.

Victor immediately crossed his arms, and I could already feel the big brother authority coming off him in waves. "Cora, who is this?"

Cora and the boy stopped like they were deer caught in headlights. Cora's mouth went agape and the boy stared at Victor curiously.

"He's just a friend," I wave off Victor. "Go have fun I'll be near by," I say.

The boy extends his hand towards me "Hi, I'm Emmit." Two dimple spring on his cheeks at his smile.

"Hi Emmit, I'm Aniya and this is her brother Victor," I point towards him.

He extends his hand out to Victor but he just stares at hit coldly. I cough, pushing Cora and the boy away, "anyways you guys have fun. Cor call me me is you need anything alright."

The two teens turn around and begin walking away from us a big smile on Cora's face as Emmit starts talking.

I look at them proudly with a smile of my own and turn around only to be met by cold grey eyes. I suppress a shiver as he glared at me. "She has a boyfriend?!"

"Well, yes but don't tell Kendall please, she wants to tell her when she's ready. They're just kids on a little date. And we'll be here the whole time so nothing bad can happen."

He sighs frustratedly and walks away from me. I hurriedly follow after him and try my best to keep up. "You want to go shopping, I mean we're already here might as well."

He looks at me weirdly. I showcase a smile and pull him into the nearest store. It was a shoes place with sneakers lining the walls and boxes neatly piled on shelves.

I start looking around and see if I would like to get anything from here. "Do you need any help miss?" I turn around to one of the workers. My eyes widened at how handsome he was. He had pretty blonde mid length hair and emerald soul sucking eyes.

I paused as I took him in but then felt a jab at my ankle and snapped out of it. I sent Victor a glare who stood right beside me his arms cross.

The worker looked at me expectantly, his eyebrows raised. "Uh, yes do you have any sneakers like this in a 7?" I asked grabbing the first shoe I saw.

He nodded heading to the back of the shop and came out with the right size. "Thank you!" I said as he walked away with a polite smile.

I looked down at the shoes in my hands realizing I was going to have to actually buy them. They weren't bad though, not bad at all, they were cute actually. A Nike high top, in pink and white.

Victor stood beside me as I paid for my shoes and we left. I started to feel snackish and dragged Victor once again to the food court. We sat at a table for two, Chinese food both on our plates.

"I wonder what Cora and Emmit are doing right now," I wondered out loud. I noticed Victors hold on his fork tighten and I frowned.

"You know she's a good girl, I don't think you have much to worry about with her."

He shook his head, stabbing a piece chicken with his fork. "It's not her I'm worried about it's him. Cora's too nice that's her problem, I don't want her to get taken advantage of." He said avoiding my eyes.

Aww that is so cute. I always wondered what it was like having siblings who were protective over you and cared. I'm an only child so I don't get to have that experience. It feels lonely sometimes but I'll live.

"I think you can trust her. If you want we can call and check in?" I held up my phone.

He shook his head, "nah it's ok I don't want her to get embarrassed or anything we can call her later when it's time to go."

A warm smile appeared on my face. He can be sweet sometimes. "So why did you come with us, you never come out when I invite you." I may or may not be secretly hurt by that.

"I can tell when something's up with Cora, she seemed weird when I sat down so I knew something was up when mom said you guys were going to the mall."

"Hmm." I said thinking it over. "So aren't you happy you won't have to tutor me anymore? I know it kinda annoyed to you help me but I really appreciate it. I got a 86 in science now.," I said, deciding to change the subject.

He shrugged, "I definitely got a lot of my free time back and at first I was annoyed but I didn't mind it in the end. You're welcome." He said looking me into the eyes this time.

My heart beat quickened at hearing he didn't mind tutoring me. A small smile spread along my face. We continued eating and then walked some more until we agreed we should go home.

I called Cora and she met us at the ice cream shop. We said goodbye to Emmit and got in Victors car.

I sat in the front holding mine and Victors Ice cream. Cora sat in the back telling us all about her little date.

"Victor your ice cream is starting to drip," I whined feeling the melting cream wet my hand.

He looked at me annoyedly, "bring it closer to my face" he said his eyes focused back on the road.

I did as he said and silently gasped when he places his mouth on the parts that were dripping off the cone. He cleaned the ice cream up so it couldn't drip anymore.

When he was done I retracted my hand, a look of shock on my face. I felt my cheeks warm. He looked down at me and nodded to my right hand. "Your ice creams starting to melt."

I teared my eyes away from him and shyly licked the rest of my dessert. I felt my cheeks redden even more when I thought of how Victors tongue swirled along the cone the same way I was doing mines.

I turned towards the window too embarrassed to look anyone in the face right now.

"Aniya are you ok?" I heard Cora's concerned voice from the back seat.

I gulped, "never better."
