---Sky---

Y/n's POV

The rays of the early sun fall on my skin as I open my eyes to face the day. 'Today Sky will teach me how to fight!' I think enthusiastically. I rise from my sleeping spot and walk to a nearby river to refresh myself. I doesn't take long because I am incredibly excited for today and cannot wait to start!

I walk back to camp where Wild is already cooking breakfast with a hungry looking Wind next to him. Some are already doing their own things while others, like Warriors, are still lounging. My eyes move from left to right without seeing a familiar mop of bed hair. I tilt my head in confusion as I wonder where Sky is.

'It's already pretty late in the morning so he should be up already... Maybe I can ask Hyrule' I ponder. "Hello Hyrule," I begin as I walk towards him. "do you know where Sky is? I haven't seen him today" I ask him. "Good morning y/n! To answer your question, Sky is still asleep and you don't even have to think about trying to wake him up. That's impossible" Hyrule replies.

"Really?! But he said that he would teach me how to wield a sword!" I huff. Hyrule simply laughs at my outburst. "Well, I guess you have to wait a little longer" he snickers to himself. I glare at him. The smell of food fills my nostrils and I decide I might as well eat something since Sky is not up and running yet.

Sky's POV

I wake up after a nice long sleep. I open my eyes and groggily look around. 'Food...' I think and stand up to get some breakfast. When I get near the place the others are sitting no one sends me as much as a glance, they are used to me waking up late. No one except y/n. The moment she hears me coming closer she jumps up and walks towards me, leaving her empty bowl behind.

"Sky! You said you would teach me how to wield a sword. Do you have any idea how excited I was to start! I would have skipped breakfast for it if you were awake..." she says to me showing her disappointment. "You shouldn't start the day without breakfast..." I mutter trying to change the subject. She looks down as I start feeling slightly sorry that I slept so long.

"Hey y/n? Sorry that you had to wait so long... I will swiftly eat my breakfast and then we will begin, ok?" I propose. She looks at me and smiles. "Ok, enjoy your breakfast. Wild made something good" she winks, forgetting the situation from earlier.

I quickly eat my breakfast because I know y/n is waiting for me. After I am done eating I made my way to Wild to ask him something. "Hello Wild, I was wondering if I could have that sword we threw to y/n the other day? It's for her training" I add the last part before he can question anything. "Ok, no problem. Here" he says as he hands me his traveller's sword. I nod as a way to thank him and join y/n in a clearing we agreed to meet each other after breakfast.

She was waiting patiently in the centre. I walk up to her and give her the sword. "Ready?" I ask and she nods with eyes filled with determination. "Good. Let's begin by me showing you how to properly hold a sword and what the right stance is, alright?"

I show her everything she needs to know about how to hold a sword, how to stand and even some fighting moves mixed with defensive stances. She is a very fast learner and I'm very proud at how she is doing it all. 'This day went exceptionally well and I believe she is possibly ready to go up against me' I ponder.

"Y/n what do you say, do you want to try and fight me? It is alright if you don't wa-" "Yes please, swinging in the air is good practice to begin with but it's nothing compared to an actual man to man fight" she cuts me off with her eyes filled with determination once again. "Or should I say man to woman..." she silently questions while putting her finger against her lips.

'Cute...' I chuckle to myself without realising what I was really thinking. I blush when I realized that I just thought that y/n was cute. I shake those thoughts off as I prepare myself for the sparring match with her. "Ready?" I ask and she nods in response.

I expected her to charge but instead she took one step forward, stopped and then looked at me. She wants me to make my move and I will. I run at her even though I'm not that fast. I swing my sword and she ducks beneath it. Before I could react, she was already swinging at me. I quickly raise my sword to block her attack and push her back. She is strong but I am stronger and she knows this.

She changes her tactics to match her speed asshe knows I lack it. She runs and twirls around me making it hard for me to keep following her with my eyes. Before I know it, she is behind me with the side of her sword against at my neck.

She removes the sword so I could turn around. I look at her with a surprised face. "That was brilliant" I breathe out. She starts to blush. "I'm only good because you taught me so well". She bashfully rubs her neck. That little gesture makes me think about her and the possibility she is a Link. 'Everyone of us does that when we're embarrassed or bashful...'.

"Thank you for wanting to train me, Sky" she smiles snapping me out of my thoughts. "No problem" I smile back.

---Twilight---

Y/n's POV

The morning starts off like any other morning. I wake up, eat breakfast and refresh myself. The strange or rather annoying, thing is that Twilight is nowhere to be seen. I looked at the place he should have been sleeping but he isn't there. I also know that he didn't have guard duty in the early morning, so I don't see why he left already...

'There might be a chance Time knows where he is. Twilight always tells him everything' I think. I walk to the fallen tree Time is sitting on. He notices my presence fairly quickly and speaks up. "Y/n, how can I help you?". "Do you know where Twilight is? I have been looking for him everywhere and couldn't find him..." I trail of.

"He went to prepare for your training. He should still be by the river to the west" Time gives me the directions. I thank him and go to the river. I arrive at my destination and spot Twilight standing next to a tree. 'He appears to be deep in thoughts...'

I look around for a second time and realise why Twilight choose this spot to train me. It is a nice open area with not too much grass. I can hear the water in the river swirling. It is indeed an exceptionally good spot. I sigh from the beautiful scenery. That made Twilight stop his train of thoughts and look at me.

"Hello y/n, it is good to see you. Are you ready to begin your training?".

Twilight's POV

I ask y/n if she is ready and she answers with a short "Yes". I walk towards her with Wild's traveller's sword in my hand. He said that y/n could use it for her training with me. When I am in front of the h/c girl I hand her the sword.

"I will show you some defensive stances to begin with" I said while holding my own sword in the air. "You need to hold it diagonally, like this". She copies my stance holding the sword like I showed her. I nod at her in approval.

"You can also use your defence to create distance between your opponent and yourself. If you want to do this, you will have to use a special move. It is called 'Shield Attack'. You don't have a shield yet, but this move can also be preformed with just a sword" I tell her.

I hold my sword in the air diagonally and then push it forward. Then I stab the air where my so called opponent would be. She looks at me with wide eyes. "Is this right?" she asks while preforming Shield Attack perfectly. "Very good" I say, amazed by how well she is doing.

I show her more defensive moves. She is an exceptionally good student.

"Now that you know how to defend yourself, I think it is time I taught you some attack moves" I continue. "Whatever you say Twilight" she smiles, but her eyes are burning with determination. 'I think I will teach her a simple stab first... I can end with one of the more difficult moves Shade taught me' I think ahead. I show her the motions of a simply stab and she copies them flawlessly. "You are definitely ready to learn a harder move. This one is called "Ending Blow" you use this attack to end a foe's life" I explain to her.

I stab the air and then jump forward, stabbing the ground harshly. Y/n inhales and exhales deeply. She stabs the space in front of her and then jumps landing in front of her with her sword in the ground.

"That was excellent y/n! I'm impressed" I praise her. She blushes and her eyes trail to the ground. She then tries to stand up, but her sword was stuck in the ground, making her fall back down. "Oof" she breathes while rubbing the back of her neck. 'That neck rubbing is something all of us do too. Curious...' I ponder while y/n pulls out the sword from the ground.

I look at her and wonder if she could be a- "Twilight, can I fight you?" y/n snaps me out of my thoughts. My eyes widen at her request. "Off course" I reply after giving it some thought.

She smiles again. She then goes to stand opposite of me, her face hardening in concentration. After a 5 minute stare down she decides to charge at me. I predicted this and held out my sword to take the blow.

I push her back. While she is still regaining her balance, I charge at her. But y/n regaining her balance was all an act. She quickly holds up her sword and pushes me back. I didn't expect her comeback or her force and fall on my back.

Y/n sees me laying down and jumps on top of me with her sword hovering right above me heart. 'Ending Blow...' is all I can think. She removes the sword and stands up, offering me a hand. I gladly take it and let her help me up.

"Y/n you were great! You used the Ending Blow without any mistakes. You didn't falter and even managed to trick me!" I praise her again. "I am only this good because I had a good teacher" she replies.

I look to the side and see the sun is setting. "Let us head back before the others think we were kidnapped" "Ok".

With that we ended the training and went back to camp.

---Wild---

Y/n's POV

I'm still enjoying the last remnants of my dream when someone gently calls my name. "Y/n? Are you awake?" the voice, I recognize to be Wild's, asks. I grumble and turn around to sleep some more. "Y/n don't you want to me train you today?" Wild asks with a playful tone while carefully putting a hand on my shoulder.

My eyes shoot open as I remember yesterday's conversation. 'I asked if we could train tomorrow. And that was yesterday so I guess tomorrow is now today. How I could I forget?' I chuckle softly at my own thoughts and turn around to face Wild. I sit up straight and reassure him that I do want him to teach me today.

He simply nods and says he will go and make breakfast, leaving me to refresh myself. I know there isn't a lake or river nearby, so I put my hands on the leaves and let the morning dew function as my water. It is very cold but refreshing nonetheless.

By the time I was finished the smell of breakfast penetrated my nostrils. I walk away from the leaves and towards the smell. Next to a big tree and some cut down logs was Wild behind his cooking pot. The others are already sitting around him on the logs. I sit down in a small spot next to Four. Four's eyes dart in my direction. "Good morning" he says with a smile. "Good morning" I respond.

Wild turns around when he hears my voice and gives me a quick glance before putting his focus on the cooking pot once again. Within a few minutes the food is done and Wild starts handing out bowls filled with his devine breakfast. When everyone else has a bowl, he makes one for himself and sits down on the only spot that was not taken yet. That spot was next to me.

"Hey y/n, do you like what I made? I decided a good, strong breakfast will be good for you if we will train together today" he says to me. "Yes, it is ideal to have a hearty breakfast when you have a hard day ahead of you" I respond to him. He nods and we start eating.

After breakfast me and Wild get up and leave the dishes to the others. Apparently Twilight and Sky had already agreed to clean the dishes in his place so we'd have more time together. To train off course...

"Ok soooo... This morning before I started making breakfast I found a nice clearing and I thought that would be a good place for me to teach you how to wield a sword. Because you need room to move around and get a good feeling of the sword you will be holding". "That reminds me," Wild continues. "you did bring your sword right?" he asks unsure of himself.

"Yes, I have it right here" I beam while taking the sword out of its scabbard that was strapped to my back. 'This is the sword Wild threw me when I was being attacked by monsters. It was so kind of him to let me keep it...' I recall his small act of kindness.

Wild watches me and then takes his own sword out. "Try to copy my movements, ok?" he asks me. "Alright" I answer. "You usually carry a shield with you but there are always exceptions. So I will show you how to use your sword as a shield" he says. He holds his sword in the air like a shield and I copy him. "That's good y/n" he praises me.

Wild's POV

Her eyes light up when I praise her. "Can you show me how to attack?" she asks me with curious eyes. I blink a few times before agreeing and showing her some more moves. Stab, slash, dodge, parry, I taught her almost everything I know. 'I hope I'm teaching her the right things...' I think to myself.

"Wild, would you mind if I fought you?" she asks me. "What?!" I exclaim in confusion. "For training!" she quickly adds. I sigh in relief and smile at her. "Ok, just tell me when you're ready" I say to her. She shuffles around for a bit before looking back at me. "Ready" she declares.

She takes a step forward and starts to circle me. I maintain eye-contact and follow her movements. She suddenly lashes forward with her sword. I lift my sword to stop her attack but she leaps back before our swords can collide. 'It feels like she's hunting and I'm the prey' I gulp.

I clear my head from all thoughts and intercept her circling. She comes to a stop and holds up her sword to block my attack. I push her back. I can see her eyes darting around trying to find a new tactic.

I take a step forward and she takes a step back. I raise my sword and y/n does as well. However I fool her and dodge her sword. This gives me a window to attack. I take my changes and attack with unmatched speed. Y/n tries to block the attacks with here sword but I'm to fast.

She's to late to stop my sword and it cuts her in her right shoulder. Her eyes widen and she drops the sword. Her hand travels up to shield her cut. "Ouch..." she whispered. "Y/N! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you" I say in shock. 'This is all my fault, I shouldn't have used flurry rush' I think, angry at myself.

"Y/n... Can I see your cut" I hesitatingly ask. She removes her hand, which is now coloured bloodred, to show me how bad it really is. Her cut is deep but it doesn't look like she needs stiches. Thank Hylia...

"I'm so sorry y/n" I say again, my ears drooping. "Hey Wild, it's not that big of a deal. I just wasn't fast enough to dodge your attack" she rubs her neck. "Besides I was the one that asked if we could fight each other. Most importantly... I dodged every other attack and even managed to get dangerously close to you because of your training Wild!" y/n exclaims.

"Come on, let's go back to camp, bandage up my cut and call it a day!" she contently smiles, happy with her achievements. My eyes soften at her enthusiasm. "Yeah, let's go back". We turn around and start to walk back.

'She really is extraordinary. And the way she rubbed her neck... Not only was it cute but also quite funny. She really has everything in her to be one of us. Not only the skill and personality but now also the small gestures...'

---Warriors---

Y/n's POV

I can still tastethe delicious food I was eating in my dream when someone decided it would be a good idea to wake me up. Someone is shaking my shoulder to try and wake me up. Their attempt isn't useless, unfortunately. I open my eyes only to be greeted by a pair of ocean blue eyes that belong to Warriors.

When he sees that I'm awake he takes a step back and places his hands on his hips. "Wakey wakey sleepyhead, today's training!" he exclaims. "What?" I ask him groggily. "Yesterday I asked if you would like it if I trained you, you said yes. And I take training someone very seriously. That means that you need to get up early to have a productive day, y/n" he sighs.

"Mmmm...ok. Just give me 5 minutes to refresh myself" I say while rubbing the sleep of my face. Warriors nods and turns around, leaving me alone to do my thing. I use a clean rag and water from a nearby lake to clean my face. I look at my reflection in the water. "Looking good even though it's 6 in the morning" I chuckle at my comment and back away from the water.

When I arrive at the centre of our camp I see that everyone is already gathered around Wild to get breakfast. As I walk towards the Links I receive a few greetings and glances. By the time I sit down everyone already acknowledged me in their own way. 'It's so nice how they are all so welcoming' I think. Warriors makes room next to him so I can sit beside him on the ground.

Wild hands Warriors a bowl, which he then gives to me. I peek in the bowl and spot scrambled eggs and a little bit of meat on the side. "Eat up, you will need the energy" Warriors nudges my arm. I dig in and enjoy every bite of Wild's amazing cooking.

Warriors finishes before me and tells me to meet him by the lake where I cleaned my face. I nod and quickly continue to eat breakfast. I don't want to have Warriors wait to long for me. As soon as I'm done, I hand the bowl to Sky, who has cleaning duty with Hyrule today.

I walk to the spot Warriors told me to meet him. I expected Warriors to sit be the lake. But what I didn't expect, was an ugly drawing of a person, that looks like Legend, strapped to a tree. "Uhm...Warriors? Is that Legend" I ask him with uncertainty.

He looks up at me and then over to the tree. "What? No, that's our training dummy. He just had to have a face, so I drew one on some paper and put it up" he explains. "So you want me to whack Legend?" I ask.

"No off course not! This isn't Legend it's... Karu the training dummy" he states the last part full of confidence. "Sure Warriors" I laugh. "Enough goofing around now. It's time to begin training" he says and I agree. "I'm ready!" I say full of excitement.

Warriors bends down and picks up a long and sturdy looking stick. He then hands it to me and explains that the stick will be my practice sword. "But I need to learn how to fight with a sword! Not a stick!" I exclaim. "But you did really well fighting those bokoblins with a stick" Warriors jokes.

Warriors' POV

Y/n's nose scrunches up at my joke. "Fine, I will train with this stick" she says. "Good. To begin I want you to act as if Karu holds a sword and tries to swing it at you" I watch as she does as she is told. I think about how to improve her stance and then go and stand next to her.

"A little bit more like this" I whisper to her and take hold of her arms, guiding them to a position that would offer more protection if she was actually being attacked. Y/n looks me
