Today was very chaotic, ever since the attack the police had been going more into investigating the attacks from the Equallists. The police tape wrapped around the poles around the arena but now they were currently focused on another case. Earlier this morning (Y/N) and Lin sat in her office discussing the recent attack, both of them still feeling a little on edge about the recent events.

Their little conversation however was cut short by a high ranking officer knocking on the door and Lin with a grumpy voice yelled out a "Come in", an officer came in and bowed while saying "Sorry for the intrusion but we might have a lead on cabbage crop's involution with the Equalists". (YN) walked up to the officer and snatched the file from his hand before dismissing him, she threw the file to her girlfriend who gracefully caught it without batting an eye.

She gently laid the folder onto the desk which (Y/N) had been occupying moments ago with a simple "Please do not throw files at me", This made (Y/N) hold in a small laugh as she stood beside Lin. The new piece of evidence, a tip, stuck out against the leads against Cabbage Crop being a part of the Equalist movement. The paper was read over by both Lin and (Y/N), while the tip seemed real, something about it seemed off (Y/N) couldn't shake the feeling that they were being set up somehow.

Movement and sound of Lin's chair being pushed backwards forced (Y/N) back into reality as Lin was quick to give orders "I want my Metalbending officers and Detectives to head to this location", she pointed to the address given to them on the sheet of paper. With a silent nod and a single peck on the cheek (Y/N) was off.

(Y/N) gathered the Metalbending officers including the two metal bending commanders Ren and Raiah, and Detectives giving them a brief rundown of the plan for the entering of the warehouse. As quickly as they came they left to get into position, (Y/N) making a B line to her office to grab her weapons, clipping them onto her belt before heading to the car bay to retrieve her car and drive to the warehouse.

Silence. The officers were situated outside with the metalbending officers at the front while the detectives were out near the cars situated in defencive positions, the air seemed to stand still and with one flick of Lin's wrist all the metalbenders broke into the warehouse. Through the windows, holes in the walls and many other spots. The sound of shattering glass slicing through the ears of many of the detectives and some officers.

A wince was heard from (Y/N) as she signaled them to move in, once the place was secured. The cracking of more glass underneath their feet as they began to investigate, using the rusty crowbars which were just laying around to pry open the wooden crates around the warehouse. A satisfying crunch was heard as the lid popped off and inside were many electric gloves that the equalists use.

She whistled over towards Lin, gaining her attention and whipping her head around to catch the glove being thrown at her "I think we got a pretty solid lead on Cabbage Corp" One of the leading Officers seemed to agree and picked up a couple more from his box "There's enough evidence here to bury Cabbage Corp for an eternity." Lin seemed pleased with the amount of evidence collected in a single place, a small smile present on her face before quickly switching back to her stern one she wore to work. She placed the gloves back into the box looking over to (Y/N) and signalling her to follow her out, with a small nod (Y/N) called out to some detectives and officers "B team let's roll out and catch us a criminal!!"

Soon enough a swarm of police cars filled the streets of Republic City as they headed their way to the main offices of Cabbage Corp, run by the founder's son by the name of Lau Gan-Lan. The sound of sirens filled the usually mediocre sounding streets, the large skyscraper being seen right ahead with a large statue of the founder holding a cabbage in front of a cart.

THe Cars skidded to a halt as officers barged through the towers doors, (Y/N) stood next to Lin saying "That felt almost too easy you know". SHe was only answered with a single grunt and so she elbowed the chief, only to remember that she had metal armour on. SHe recoiled in pain and a small smirk was plastered on the Chief's face with a stifled laugh, (Y/N) glared at her as she soothe her elbow by rubbing it "Don't laugh" she grumbled.

After a couple minutes yells were heard from the inside and the man himself came out with two officers holding his arms behind his back, dragging him past the statue of his father. HE even kicked one of the officers in the leg yelling " This is an outrage! I'm innocent!". Commander Ren, who was the other man holding him, tightened his grip while rolling his eyes "That's what they all say". At this point (Y/N) didn't even realise the crowd forming behind them as news reporters flooded the couple with questions, (Y/N) was quick to turn around as a reporter asked "Is it true that Cabbage Corp is conspiring with the Equalists?"

Lin cleared her throat and said in her very professional voice "The evidence points in that direction, but the investigation is ongoing. For the time being, we have frozen Mr. Gan-Lan's assets and are closing Cabbage Corp." There was more yelling from the man and (Y/N) sighed as more questions were bombarded towards the two "Force Captain (Y/N)!!, is it true you were captured by amon!!" "Force Captain!!, What did Amon do to you while you were captured?"

Amon.

The stupid name alone drove her head in as she stood there glaring towards the reporters wordless, she was captured and taken prisoner in her own world currently. Everything began to fade to black and the whole world felt like it suddenly just dropped, the cold pulled her in as all that swirled around in her head was his face. THe look in his eyes, cold, dead and controlling, scared her to the very core. Then...

Light.

A ringing in her ears was painful and she felt weightless as if she were being held, a sudden shot of energy pulled her out of the dormant state and she shot up. She was on the ground outside Cabbage Corp being held by her one and only love looking very worried, she couldn't hear anything. Only the ringing. Lin looked to be shouting at someone, she couldn't tell who though. She was too out of it to want to care. Suddenly (Y/N) was being carried by the woman made of pure muscle and towards an ambulance with a stretcher on standby, she sat on the edge of the ambulance and had a quick checkup.

The ringing had faded by now and she was deemed fine by the paramedic, he advised Lin to bring her back home and make sure that she gets some rest before even thinking about going back to work. (Y/N) was opposed to the idea saying "I'm fine, I just passed out from stress.That's all" She was quickly shut up by a very angry Lin shouting "You will not be going ANYWHERE near the police station until you get some rest,am I understood Force Captain." (Y/N) knew she was dead serious once she was being called Force Captain instead of her name so she shrunk down and reluctantly agreed.

So now, (Y/N) was stuck in bed for the rest of the day with a worried Police chief making sure to call her every 10 minutes to make sure she stayed. The nonbender was pissed because one she had a headache which meant that she would have to admit she was wrong to Lin and two that she couldn't go to work.

The phone once again went off and so (Y/N) had to answer it, if not then that would be calling upon a death wish to herself and to all the officers in Lin's way. So reluctantly and slowly she picked up the phone saying "Lin stop calling me! I'm not going anywhere!!" A brief silence was heard on the other side of the line before a sigh was let out by her silver haired girlfriend "I know, you just....scared me today. You just dropped out of nowhere" Now it was her turn to let out a sigh "Honey. I know but I'm a grown woman, I know when to follow orders and when not to.." A brisk laugh was heard causing her to smile as well before Lin's voice turned deep and serious, while leaving a bit of smoothness to it.

This change made (Y/N) tense up a little before she explained "Listen tomorrow I'm going with Korra and Tenzin to the Sato family estate to investigate, Korra believes that Hiroshi set up Cabbage Corp" THe phone call went silent as (Y/N) who leaned up against the bedframe resting her head on it had a quick thought "I mean. He would have a motive and that anonymous tip was a little suspicious to me. I want to come along tomorrow" This is when her harsh tone set in again "Absolutely not!" With a growl (Y/N) tried to fight back but the line was cut off , so in an act of blind rage slammed the phone back onto it's holder.

(Y/N) didn't bother waiting up for Lin to get home before heading to sleep, it bothered her so much on how protective Lin could be, even as Kids before they even started dating she would always be the one to take the blows whether verbal or physical. (Y/N)'s eyes softened at the memory briefly before hardening up and closing tight, making her fall into a deep slumber.

-Timeskip-

THe light hit her eyes in the right way to annoy her all the way to consciousness, her first thought was that she realised she was already feeling better, second was the fact that her made of pure muscle metalbending girlfriend was behind her and holding onto her for dear life with her chin on her shoulder. She was stuck. The thing about Lin was that she slept like a Rock, nothing could wake her until it was time for work, so (Y/N) was stuck there for the next couple minutes basking in the warmth of her girlfriend, which she was supposed to be mad at. This was not helping with the staying mad at her part.

A solemn sigh crossed her lips as trying to wiggle out of her grip is like trying to punch through steel as a nonbender. Impossible. The warmth radiating onto her back was comforting for (Y/N) and the small breaths against her ear just made her weak to the knees, she loves this woman to death. It was almost impossible to stay mad at her for more than a day, because after that Lin just acts like a needy puppy, take this very moment for example.

(Y/N) was so caught in her thoughts that she didn't even realise that only a couple minutes ago the Earthbender had woken up and was just admiring (Y/N), a small smile grazed across her lips as she pressed a small kiss behind her ear "Morning (Y/N)". (Y/N) name rolling off her tongue like smoothe butter, almost making her forget once again that she was meant to be angry at her "Morning Honey".

THe blissful moment continued on for a little longer before and groan was heard behind her and the arms suddenly unhinged themselves from around her, and Lin was now walking around getting ready for the day. (Y/N) sighed and sat up as well and leaned against the headboard, arms crossed. Lin caught this behaviour and said in a low voice "The answer is still no.", "Oh come on Lin, I'm feeling much better please let me come along." The earthbender let out a grumble of annoyance as she got her armour on and turned towards her "No, You're supposed to be resting and-"

She was suddenly cut off as (Y/N) gave her a certain look, as if she was ready to do something. Lin knew exactly what was going to happen and said "(Y/N). No, don't you dare! use that face to get your way again....", the grin (Y/N)slowly melted into one of a pout and puppy dog eyes as she whined "Lin~ Please~ I promise I'll be careful and follow every~ order".

This piqued her interest and with a lopsided smile said "Oh yeah? Even at home?" THis made (Y/N) stop and blush for a moment before throwing a pillow at her "Get your head out of the gutter!!" THis caused her to laugh as Lin caught the pillow and placed it at the edge of the bed "It's your call princess~", with a sigh (Y/N) nodded and Lin then said "Alright Force captain get ready and be ready to move out, Tenzin will be waiting."

The group walked up to the entrance with (Y/N) standing on the opposite side of where Tenzin was, she blamed him for being the reason why she was captured, although it wasn't true it just made her feel better about herself. (Y/N) had the honours to knock at the door as a butler gracefully opened it, his eyes widening when seeing the Police Chief and Force Captain standing at the front door.

They wasted no time walking towards Hiroshi's office hearing Korra's friends yell at her in the background, but right now that didn't matter. They opened the doors to his office as he gave a joyful smile to all of them "Well I didn't expect to see three very important people at my office today. What brings you here?". Lin cleared her throat and said "Mr. Sato, we just have a few follow-up questions for you." THe doors behind them slammed open as his daughter Asami walked in looking a little annoyed but determined " My father is innocent. Just because we're not benders doesn't mean we support those awful Equalists." Lin looked to (Y/N) and she briefly nodded before walking to Asmai saying "It's just precautions, alot of bende's and non benders lives are at risk." SHe glared at her and (Y/N) just kept her cool, she knew that Asami wouldn't do anything. Because she knew she was right.

Hiroshi stood up and said "Equalists? Is that what this is about? I can assure you I have nothing to do with those radicals. Especially what they did to Force Captain-" Lin cut him off with a wave of her hand and a glare "There's no need for that." Asami joined her father at his side and (Y/N) did the same with Lin, crossing her arms as the conversation continued. Korra then pointed a finger at him accusingly, saying " I overheard you on the phone. You said the Cabbage Corp investigation bought you time, and you're getting ready to strike. Explain that!".

He froze. But only for a second before laughing it off and smiling, (Y/N) nudged Lin and whispered "Did you see that?" to which Lin only nodded in response. Hiroshi then explained " This is all just a misunderstanding, resulting from the young Avatar's overactive imagination. My number one competitor was knocked out of the game. It's providing me an opportunity to strike the market with a new line of Satomobiles. It's just business. Nothing nefarious." (Y/N) cocked an eyebrow and gave him an unconvinced look, Tenzin stepped in suddenly looking at Hiroshi "In order to put all suspicions to rest, might we have a look into your factories and warehouses?"Asami gave a huff of annoyance but Hiroshi quickly silenced her by saying "If you feel it's necessary, you're welcome to search all of Future Industries."

So the search began, the investigation was done with all the metalbending Officers on deck, though the whole day was tearing through box after box. But no luck. Things weren't adding up in (Y/N)'s head, how would cabbage corp, known for making crappy items and race cars make such good weapons to give to Amon. Hrioshi was an obvious choice but they were coming up empty handed, the process was giving (Y/N) a headache so she sat in a vehicle until sunset.

Colours of red, orange and pink filled the sky as the search came to an end and all the officers retreated to the airships, Lin, Tenzin, (Y/N) and Korra stayed behind as with a sigh of disappointment Korra said "I can't believe we didn't find anything." It seemed that even Lin was trying to figure out exactly what was going on, but the disappointed sigh came from her as well "It would appear Hiroshi is innocent." "But it just doesn't make sense to me" The group turned to her questioningly before Asami walked up to them and said "kay, you did your search. Now you can all leave."

At this point (Y/N) had had enough she walked up to Asami and said "Alright Missy, I'm sick of your attitude to me and everyone else. You do know that we are NOT targeting you because you are non benders, I'm one myself. I was captured by Amon so excuse me and our officers for trying to do our job, now-" A rough hand pulled her back as she whipped her head around to a disapproving Lin, she backed down and stood beside her now annoyed.

The three younger ones moved away, so (Y/N) knew she was going to get a scolding of a lifetime "(Y/N)...." The voice came out deep and almost sounded like a disapproving mother talking to her child, "I understand you're stressed but we had a deal, please make sure to stick with it. Or else you're not working for an entire week and I will place officers outside our house to make sure you don't leave. (Y/N) nodded quickly and a small smile came from Lin. How was it possible she could be so scary one moment but then act like a sweet angel in a matter of seconds.

Korra walked up to them all looking panicked "I think you guys should hear this." She was holding a note and began to read it outloud to all of them "If you want to find the truth, meet me under the north end of the Silk Road Bridge at midnight." The group looked between each other and wasted no time on walking towards the bridge, while the job had gone into the night that didn't stop them from getting there in time to see this man.

As they walked a voice called out to them as they reached the north end "Psst", they watched as a man in a deep green trench coat came out from behind a pillar, they walked over to him cautiously (Y/N) having one hand rested on her belt. RIght near her Warhammer. The man looked at them and begun "Listen, I joined the Equalists because I believed in what Amon said. I thought he could make life better for us non benders. But I didn't sign up for this ... this war."

Lin tilted her head and asked out of curiosity "What do you have on Hiroshi Sato?" He looked around cautiously and then turned to face fully towards them, as before he was only facing them side on "He manufactured those gloves for the Equalists and there are rumors he's working on something even bigger. Some new kind of weapon." Korra celebrated that she knew it all along, this causing (Y/N) to chuckle. Tenzin then asked "We searched all of Future Industries and found nothing."

The man pulled up his collar and said "Because he has a secret factory" Korra questioned where and (Y/N) smiled "Somewhere close to home, literally. It would be most likely underneath his house, so as to not cause any suspicion and to make it easy to get to at home." The man nodded and pulled down his cap a little, "I need to go." And with that he was off.

Lin had called up all her Metalbending officers for an emergency search of the Sato family home once more, Lin, Tenzin and (Y/N) standing at the front of the commanding airship "Raiding the Sato Mansion is a risky move with Tarrlok breathing down your neck. If we're wrong ..." "I know. We can kiss our job goodbye. But protecting Republic City is all I care about. We can't let Amon get his hands on this new weapon." Lin said, still looking forward, (Y/N) gently grabbed her hand and squeezed it "I'm happy to go down with you chief if this doesn't work...."

They all lowered from metal cables down to the front of the house, some officers kicking the door down and scattering into different rooms. THe leading pack kicked into a room with Mako, Bolin which (Y/N) knew from the fire ferrets and Asami, she was not pleased and yelled "What are you doing here?". (Y/N) took the lead on this one wanting to assert dominance onto her "We have a reason to believe that there's a
