Prompt- one like Liam sick on Luna's birthday but Niall gets angry at him.

Ages

Liam's pov

It is about 2am. I can't sleep. I feel really nauseous. I curl into myself and Niall says "Liam stop moving. You woke me up." I say "I'm sorry Ni. I really don't feel well." Niall says "Just go to sleep Liam and stop faking" I feel tears well up in my eyes and I hear Niall snoring again. I quietly get out of bed and I go into the spare room. I get into bed and I start crying. Niall doesn't believe me. I must have fallen asleep at some point whilst crying because I get woken up by Niall shaking me. I open my eyes and Niall says "You need to look after the kids. I was meant to leave five minutes ago. I'm going to be late for work." I say "I'm sorry. I'll get up now" Niall nods and leaves the spare room.

I slowly get out of bed and go downstairs. Niall says "See you later." He leaves the house and Luna says "Papa daddy has given us breakfast" I nod and say "Did you enjoy your breakfast?" Luna nods and asks "Can I go into the play room papa?" I nod and Luna runs into the play room. I follow with Oscar and I sit on the sofa in the play room. After about five minutes I am going to be sick. I say "You kids stay in here. I'll be back soon" Luna nods and I quickly run out of the room.

I run into the downstairs bathroom and I shut and lock the door. I gag and I crash to my knees in front of the toilet. I gag and throw up. Tears start to fall down my face. I wish Niall was here and not at work not believing me. I throw up for five minutes before my stomach feels empty. I slowly stand up and flush the toilet. I wash my hands and I slowly leave the room.

I walk back to the play room and Luna looks up and asks me "Papa are you alright?" I nod and sit down. I feel Luna's hand on my forehead and she says to me "Papa you feel warm. Are you feeling poorly?" I nod and Luna says "I'll call daddy" I shake my head and say "Don't worry about calling daddy Luna." I lay down and Luna says "But you're poorly papa. You need sleep." I say "Yeah but daddy won't like it Lulu. I'll be fine don't worry about me" Luna says "Papa go to sleep. You need rest to get not poorly" I smile at her and say "You are right but I need to keep an eye on you and your brother" Luna nods. After about half an hour I feel my eyes get heavier before they fall closed.

Luna's pov

Papa has just fallen asleep. I grab my blanket that I brought into the playroom. I put the blanket over papa. I get papa's phone and tap the numbers and it opens. I find the phone icon and tap it. I find daddy's picture and call him. Daddy picks up and says "Li I can't talk. I'll call you later." I say "Daddy. Papa is poorly. He has a poorly tummy." Daddy asks me "Luna where is papa?" I say "Papa is asleep on the sofa in the play room with me and Oscar." Daddy says "Lu wake him up he needs to watch you and Oscar." I say "But daddy papa is very poorly. Papa feels very hot daddy." Daddy says "Alright Luna. Just wake him up for me. I'll be home later. Love you baby." I say "Love you too daddy. See you later" daddy ends the call and I continue playing.

About half an hour later still Luna's pov

I look over at papa and I see he is awake. Papa stands up. I ask "Papa where are you going?" He says "I'll be back soon Lulu." Papa leaves the room and I say to Oscar "Come on Oscar let's go and see if papa is alright." I take Oscar's hand and we walk to the bathroom. I try to open the door but it is locked. I hear a sound and some splashing. I say "Papa are you being sick?" I hear another sound before papa says "Luna go back to the play room. I'll be there soon." I hear another sound and some more splashing. I say "Come on Oscar." I take Oscar back to the play room. Oscar starts crying and says "Papa" I kiss his head and say "Papa will be here soon Oscar." I give Oscar a cuddle

Liam's pov

I throw up for another five minutes. I have never felt so sick before in my life. I need Niall to come home. I slowly stand up and I flush the chain. I quickly wash my hands. I slowly leave the bathroom with a hand on my tummy. I walk back to the play room. Luna asks me "Papa are you alright? Does your tummy hurt?" I nod and Oscar walks over to me. I say to him "I would give you a cuddle buddy but I don't want to give you this tummy bug." He looks up at me with his bottom lip out and I gently pick him up and sit him next to me.

I grab my phone and Luna says "I called daddy but daddy said he was busy at work" I nod and say "Alright Luna." I call Niall and he picks up after the third ring. He says "Luna is papa awake?" I say "Yeah I'm awake." I hear Niall say "You fell asleep whilst looking after the kids." I say "I'm sorry. I feel really sick. I've thrown up twice please believe me" Niall says "Just stop faking Liam. You were sick not that long ago with a stomach bug you can't have another one so soon after" I nod and say "Sorry I'll let you go back to work." Niall says "Alright. I'll be home when I get home bye." He ends the call.

I bite my lip to try and stop the tears which I know are going to fall soon. I say "What would you like for lunch Lu" Luna says "cheese sandwich please" I nod and I gently pick Oscar up and we go into the kitchen. I put Oscar in his high chair and Luna sits on her chair. I get the bread, cheese and butter and I make Luna and Oscar a cheese sandwich each. I give it to each of them and I sit down and rest my head on the table with tears falling down my face I feel awful. I know I have a raging temperature, my stomach is in knots and I have a migraine coming on. My head is pounding. I let out a small involuntary sob. Luna asks "Papa are you alright?" I shake my head and Luna asks "Is it your tummy papa?" I nod and bite my lip

After about ten minutes Luna says "Papa we are finished" I nod and slowly stand up. I wipe Oscar's face and lift him out of his high chair. I put him on the floor. I take his hand and we go into the play room. I feel really faint and light headed. I sit down on the sofa and rest my head in my hands trying not to pass out. I feel a small, cold hand on the back of my neck and Luna saying "Papa you are feeling very hot" I nod and Luna says "Papa. I need to call daddy again to get daddy to come home." I shake my head and say "Daddy is busy at work darling." I start to feel really nauseous. I slowly stand up but I feel light headed and I feel myself falling forwards whilst my eyes close then nothing.

Luna's pov

Papa has fallen asleep again. I find papa's phone and I tap the same numbers I did earlier and I find daddy's picture. I press the call button and daddy doesn't answer. It made the ringing noise for ages then it stopped and went beep beep beep. Papa was sick whilst he is asleep. I say to Oscar "Oscar come over here please. Come away from papa." Oscar starts crying and says "Papa, papa" I take Oscar's hand and take him to the bean bags. I help him sit and I sit down with Oscar.

I find uncle Louis picture and I press the phone button. The phone rings for a while and then uncle Louis answers and he says "Hi Liam." I say "Uncle Louis" uncle Louis says "Luna why have you got papa's phone?" I say "Papa is very poorly. Daddy isn't home" uncle Louis asks "What do you mean papa is very poorly?" I say "Papa has been sick and he is asleep on the floor and he was sick when he fell asleep and he feels really, really, really, really hot." Uncle Louis says "Li where is daddy?" I say "Daddy is at work. I tried to call daddy but daddy didn't answer" I hear something jingling and uncle Louis says "Lu I'll be there in ten minutes alright." I nod and say "See you soon uncle Louis." I hear uncle Louis say "El, Freddie let's go. We need to go to Liam's house. Luna Stay on the phone to me alright" I nod and say "Alright uncle Louis. Papa is being sick again uncle Louis." Uncle Louis says "Where is Oscar sweetie?" I say "he is on the beanbags in the play room with me." Uncle Louis says "Where is papa?" I say "Papa is on the floor by the sofa with sick on him uncle Louis and he fell asleep on his tummy." Uncle Louis says "Can you see papa breathing Luna?" I nod and say "Yeah papa is breathing" uncle Louis nods and says "Lu we are pulling up now. We will be in soon." I nod and say "Alright uncle Louis. Can I stop the call now?" Uncle Louis says "Yeah we are just coming in now" I nod and end the call. I look at papa and see him be sick again.

Uncle Louis, Eleanor and Freddie walks through the door. Freddie runs over to us and says "Is your papa poorly?" I nod and say "Yeah papa is very poorly."

Louis pov

I kneel down by Liam and I gently touch his forehead. I instantly pull my hand away from his head. I say "Luna did you say you called daddy?" Luna nods and says "I called daddy two times. One time before lunch daddy said he can't come home. Earlier he didn't answer." I nod and say "Alright thank you Luna you did an amazing job" Luna smiles and nods. I say "Don't worry about papa. I'll go and take him to see how high his temperature is" Luna nods and I gently pick Liam up. Eleanor says to me "I'll clean the carpet and keep an eye on the kids" I nod and say "Thanks."

I carefully carry Liam out of the playroom and into his and Niall's room. I gently lay him on the bed and I quickly find the thermometer. I put the thermometer in Liam's ear and press the button the thermometer beeps. I take the thermometer out of Liam's ear. My eyes instantly widen at the numbers on the screen. They are 40.9. I rush into their bathroom and I run a bath on the colder side. I go back into Liam and Niall's room and I take off Liam's vomit covered clothes and I gently lift him up again.

I take him to the bathroom and I put him on the floor. I turn off the taps for the bath and I gently lift Liam up again and I put him in the bath. I wash his hair and slowly his eyes open. He whimpers and says "Nini. I want Nini" I say "I know you do buddy. I'll give Niall a call when we have got you out of the bath" Liam nods and says "I want him now" Liam pouts and starts crying. I get the thermometer and put it in Liam's ear. I press the button. Once it beeps I take the thermometer out of Liam's ear and say "39.9 a few more minutes buddy" Liam just continues to cry. After ten minutes I put the thermometer in Liam's ear again and press the button. Once the thermometer beeps I take the thermometer out of Liam's ear and say "39.1. Much better than it was. We will just put some loose clothes on you" Liam nods and I help him out of the bath.

I grab a towel and I wrap it around Liam. I lead him into his and Niall's room and say "You good to get yourself dried?" Liam nods and quickly dries himself off. I give Liam some loose fitting clothes. He says "I'll freeze in that Lou" I say "You really won't Li. Get dressed and then I will call Ni alright" Liam nods and gets dressed. I quickly find Niall's contact and I ring him. He picks up after the third ring and he says "Lou is it important? I'm really busy." I say "Yeah it kinda is. Liam is really sick" I hear Niall groan and say "He is just faking Lou. I'm busy. I'll be home when I get home. I told him that earlier." I say "Have you seen him Ni? He is definitely sick. He..." Niall cuts me off and says "Lou I need to finish the vocals for my album. I'll be home later. I gotta go" Niall ends the call and I am instantly mad at Niall. He has left his husband at home with 2 kids under the age of 6 and he is not believing Liam.

I look over at Liam and see the tears on Liam's face with a look of pain on his face. He rubs his eyes and I say "Get some sleep Liam." He says sadly "I want Nini" I say "I know you do buddy. Ni will be home a bit later on. Why don't you get some sleep." He says "Can you rub my tummy please it really hurts" I nod and gently rub Liam's stomach. Soon Liam's eyes droop shut and soft snores escape him. I smile at my best friend and quietly leave the room. I leave the door open a little so I can hear if Liam wakes up.

I go into the play room and Luna asks me "Uncle Louis is my papa alright?" I say "Your papa is asleep at the moment. But papa will be alright I promise" Luna nods and Eleanor says "Did you get hold of Niall?" I nod and say "He said that Liam was faking apparently." I roll my eyes and continue. "I'm going to have a word with him when he gets home" El nods and Oscar looks at me and says "Papa" I lift him up and say "Papa has an icky tummy. We will look after you." I kiss his head.

A few hours later still Louis pov

I have been checking on Liam every half an hour. He has been up each time I went in to check on him and he threw up all the times he was awake and he had diarrhoea as well for a few of the rounds of vomiting. I hear the front door open and Niall's voice saying "Louis" I walk out and he asks "Not that I mind or anything but why are you here?" I say "Don't interrupt me. I need to get this off my chest. I'm here because your daughter rang me because you didn't answer the phone. Your husband is upstairs fast asleep extremely sick. He has been up every half an hour being sick or having diarrhoea. Nothing is staying in him. Not even water. It is coming out of him one way or the other. When Luna called me Liam was passed out in the play room covered in his own vomit with a temperature of who knows what when he first passed out. When I checked his temperature it was 40.9. It was to dangerously high. But when I called earlier you interrupted me when I was about to tell you his temperature. Each time he woke up he always asked for you. He wants you more than anything right now but you were at the studio blaming him for faking when he full well wasn't faking. Go up there and make things right with him. He deserves an apology from you for ignoring him. And I am aware that Luna called you before lunch and Liam called you just after lunch as well." Niall looks at me shocked and he says "Liam has only just got over a stomach bug though." I say "You know that doesn't matter for Liam. He gets anything and everything going around. Now go up there and apologise to Liam" Niall nods.

We both go upstairs. Niall looks at me and I say "I'm making sure you go and apologise to Liam" Niall nods. We walk into Liam and Niall's room and we don't see Liam in bed. Niall opens the door and we see Liam sat on the toilet with the bin on his lap being violently sick. Niall rushes over to Liam and he gently rubs Liam's back as he goes both ends. Liam instantly starts crying. After about five minutes Liam says "I think I'm done." Niall nods. I turn around to give Liam some privacy.

Niall's pov just before they walk into the bathroom

I feel absolutely awful about waving Liam off we walk into my and Liam's room but Liam isn't in bed. I hear noises coming from the bathroom. I open the door and we both go into the bathroom. I see the heartbreaking sight of my poor Liam violently throwing up into a bin on his lap. I rush over to Liam and gently rub Liam's back. Liam instantly starts sobbing as he goes both ways. After about five minutes Liam says "I think I'm done" I nod and Louis turns around. I say to him feeling awful "Would you like some help babe?" Liam nods and I help him to stand up. Liam cleans himself up and flushes the chain. Liam pulls up his boxers and shorts and he leans on me. Louis turns around and I say to him "I'm so sorry for not believing you babe. Let's get you to bed and I will stay with you until you are better" Liam nods and Louis says "You get him back to bed and I'll sort out the bin" I nod and take Liam into our room.

I gently lay him on the bed "Nini cuddle" I nod and say "Of course Liam" I lay in bed next to him and allow him to cuddle into me. I say "I'm so sorry for not believing you last night or this morning. I should have listened to you." Liam responds "Don't be sorry. You believe me now that is all I care about. Can you run my tummy please?"  I nod and say "Of course babe." I gently start to rub Liam's stomach. Liam curls into me more and closes his eyes. Soon he is snoring softly. I smile and gently kiss Liam's head.

Louis comes in the room and says quietly seeing Liam asleep "Thought you might want the bin in here just in case he can't quite make it to the toilet" I nod and Louis puts it down by my side of the bed. I ask "Could I have a cold cloth to put on Liam's head please?" Louis nods and goes into the bathroom. After a couple of minutes Louis comes back though and gives me a cloth and a bowl of cold water. Louis then asks "Are you alright if I go and see how El and the kids are doing?" I nod and say "I'm going to stay here with Liam. I still feel awful about not believing him" Louis nods and leaves the room. I continue to rub Liam's stomach until I fall asleep

A few weeks later no one's pov

Liam felt much better after a week. Louis, Eleanor and Freddie stayed for that week so that Niall could help Liam get better. Luckily no one else got the stomach bug.
