🎤INTRODUCTION

Hi, I go by Ten online! I’m 19 now, but I started writing on Wattpad when I was 12. I’ve lived in the United States all my life, but hope that I get to travel and experience other countries when we get through this pandemic! I love to read fantasy, and writing has been a hobby of mine since I was a kid.

🎤What  inspired you to start writing?

I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember. When I was in elementary school, my English teacher was a great inspiration to me and used to encourage me to write. 

🎤When did you start writing?

I started writing in kindergarten, but I first started writing on Wattpad when I was 12. A friend of mine had gotten a Wattpad account, and I decided to follow suit and write and publish stories online as well.

🎤Have you always wanted to be a writer?

I’ve always wanted to be a writer because, as an avid reader, I’ve always been inspired by the authors of my favorite books such as Leigh Bardugo and Rick Riordan.

🎤What comes first the plot or the Characters?

Characters! I’m a big fan of character creation. I think plots can get a little complicated to create. I have way more fun designing characters so I tend to do that first.

🎤What is the most difficult part about writing for you?

The middle part of the book. I always have ideas for the beginning and the end, but sometimes I struggle to write the middle without making it boring.

🎤When you're writing an Emotional, Sad, Romantic scene,how did you get in the mood?

Music is key for my writing. I have a playlist on Youtube filled with music for every scenario. I also have playlists for each of my characters.

🎤What was your most favorite part and least favorite part of the publishing Journey?

My favorite part of the publishing journey is receiving feedback and comments from readers. I love to hear what they have to say, and think it’s fun to see their reactions. My least favorite part is editing because I find that the more I edit my story, the more I dislike it.

🎤Did you find it more challenging to come up with your First Book?

Nope. Before I published my first book, Fernandes of Fairy Tail, I had been reading a lot of Jerza fanfiction on Wattpad and was very inspired. 

🎤How many books have you written? And which is your Favorite?

I have 8 full-length books published on Wattpad, but only 5 of them are actually complete. I have several books that are complete yet unpublished because I don’t think they’re high-quality enough.

🎤Which of your books where most enjoyable to write?

My favorite book to write was Child of Magic, and I was very sad when it came to and end. Child of Magic is also my longest book. However, in terms of quality, I think The Firefly Effect is the most well-written as it is also my most unique and recent work.

🎤Tell us few things about your first book? What was the journey like?

Fernandes of Fairy Tail is based off of the anime Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima. It centers around the characters Jellal Fernandes and Erza Scarlet, and is based on what I think would happen if Jellal had joined the Fairy Tail guild in the anime. It’s a very light-hearted read. 

🎤What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting out?

Keep writing and don’t look back. Oftentimes, as a writer, you look back and want to critique your work. This makes you end up deleting huge portions of your story, and you make no progress. Resist looking back and save editing for the very end. A poorly written story is better than no story at all!

🎤Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?

I am currently inactive on Wattpad, and only occasionally check back to see how my readers are doing. However, I am working on a fantasy story that will not be published here.

🎤How many plot ideas are just  waiting to be written? Can you tell us about one?

So many I can’t even count. I don’t want to say too much, but one of them is about a quest to find a cure for a dying queen.

🎤Which was the first book you read?

The first book I remember reading was a Magic Treehouse book by Mary Pope Osborne.

🎤What is your favorite genre to read?

My favorite genre is fantasy.

🎤Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with the Good and the Bad ones?

I do read comments, and try to reply to as many as I can. I haven’t had a bad comment, but I do occasionally receive constructive criticism which I greatly appreciate. Comments are the best part about writing- they encourage me to keep going.

🎤Who is your Favorite Author?

My favorite Wattpad author is truth000 . 

🎤Which book is currently on your bedside table?

King of Scars and Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo. Rule of Wolves recently came out, and since King of Scars comes first in the duology I’m rereading before I start the new book.

🎤Do you have any writing goal in General or just Wattpad?

My writing goal is to finish my fantasy book by the end of the summer.

🎤Would you like to name any of the good friends you made on Wattpad?

I have a soft spot for DuaHussain0, ScarletFairy-, and Jewellery_Bits  been on Wattpad for a few years and I know there are so many others.

🎤How does it feel when you get so much Support and Love from Reader's?

Best thing in the world. All the love to my readers.

🎤Lastly would you like to share something with your reader's or writer's?

To my readers- I don’t write on Wattpad anymore, but the support I still receive does not go unnoticed. You really helped me become a stronger writer, and I’ll never forget that.
