If there was one thing, one big thing that Seungkwan feared the most, one thing he hated, was water. Ever since Seungkwan was pretty little, 4 years old to be more specific, he was terrified of water. This phobia developed when his family took him and his siblings on a week-long trip to Japan. During the trip, they spent a day at the beach as it was really hot that day and Seungkwan went into the water with his siblings. They were tasked with watching him but looked away for a few seconds and when they looked back, Seungkwan was on the verge of drowning. Of course, his siblings got scolded by his parents and Seungkwan forever refused to go near deep bodies of water.

Another thing that stemmed from this trauma was his headspace. It was around when he got into PLEDIS and a couple trainees were heading to the beach and dragged him along. Seungkwan was too terrified and slipped for the first time right on the spot. Luckily, one of the other trainees knew what was happening and even though they debuted in different groups, he made sure to tell the other Seventeen members. Seventeen wasn't informed on Seungkwan's fear of water because he felt the fear was childish.

Today, Seventeen's doing a photoshoot for gose in a big park which, to Seungkwan's horror, has a big lake right in the middle of it. The first part of the photoshoot wouldn't be that close to the lake so Seungkwan could calm himself down a bit until a staff member called all 13 members over to talk.

"This isn't just a regular photoshoot. We've decided to do a treasure hunt. You'll each be given a mission card and on that card is the clue for the next card. Once you find the location, there'll be a mission to do and after you complete the mission, we'll give you the card for the next clue. After doing three missions, there'll be a clue for the final location. Go to that location, get the item, and bring it back to us. Last three people to find their items have to cook dinner while the other 10 can rest" the staff member explained.

They began handing out the cards to each idol and Seungkwan was the last person to get one. He glanced over at the lake, fear filling him even faster then back at his members who had already rushed off, seemingly knowing where the first clue was. Seungkwan opened the envelope and pulled out the card. His eyes widened the first word he saw was 'Water' and the staff pointed the camera at him so Carats watching could see what he got. The idol put on a fake smile and turned the card to face the camera, asking whoever would be watching if they wanted to try solving it. Obviously, Seungkwan knew where it was because of the one word but he pretended to not know.

Seungkwan didn't feel like letting his members or the staff down and didn't wanna be a disappointment since to him, his phobia was a childish one so he turned on his heels and slowly walked towards the lake. The whole time, Seungkwan clutched the card is his hands which were visibly shaking along with the rest of his body. He stood in front of the mini dock before stepping onto it with one foot, then the other. The scared idol almost slipped if it was not for Vernon seeing him and rushing over to help him.

"You okay, hyung?" he helped the older up, brushing all the dirt off of him.

"Y-yea. I'm f-fine" Seungkwan gave a fake smile, 'Why did my voice have to tremble like that?' he thought immediately after.

"You sure? Your voice trembled and you're shaking. Hyung, what's wrong?"

"I t-told you. I'm f-fine" the older was starting to get irritated.

"Okay..." Vernon wasnt that convinced at Seungkwan's words but chose to believe him, "But if anything's wrong, you know you can always come to us, right?"

Seungkwan nodded, "I know."

Vernon gave Seungkwan a smile before going back to where he was previously and Seungkwan sighed in relief. His dongsaeng did seem a little suspicious of him but in the end, seemed like he believed what he said.

Seungkwan now found himself standing at the edge of the dock, feet right up against the edge while looking down at the calm water. The same scene from when he was four replayed in his head and that's all he could see. Young Seungkwan, begging to be saved, going deeper and deeper underwater, on the verge to death. Seungkwan wanted to scream, run away as fast as possible to safety but his body was frozen and wouldn't respond to any of his movements. Tears rolled down his face and onto the card still in his hands, the fear making him slip into his headspace. One of the cameras were back on him to see if he finished with the first clue but one of the staff noticed how Seungkwan was shaking pretty badly. They ordered for the cameras to be turned off then went to tell the rest of Seventeen.

When they got to the dock, Seungkwan was in the exact same position and Seungcheol called out Seungkwan's name to bring him back to reality but also said to be careful as the deck was slippery. Seungkwan jumped and turned around, the members gasping at how bad he looked but this wasn't the only thing that happened. He also slipped on some of the water on the deck and fell backwards into the water, plunging fast. Seventeen and the staff worked even faster. Four of the members went to help Seungkwan out of the water, the staff unanimously decided the photoshoot would be paused and maybe postponed to another day and the other 8 members were getting stuff ready for when Seungkwan was out of the water.

"We got him!" Dokyeom yelled while Jihoon, Wonwoo and Vernon brought Seungkwan out of the water.

"He doesn't look too good though!" Wonwoo followed up with.

Dokyeom, Jihoon, Wonwoo and Vernon brought Seungkwan over and laid him down on a blanket Mingyu had placed on the grass. The rest of the group had come over, Jeonghan carrying extra clothes for the idol. After changing Seungkwan into warmer clothes, Chan began giving his hyung CPR which the members were quick to question but the youngest shut them up by saying to go get ready to bring him to the hospital. The maknae stopped and everyone backed up a bit when Seungkwan suddenly started coughing and turning to his side.

"Seungkwan, can you hear me?" Seungcheol called out to get his attention.

"...Appa..." the mentally youngest whined, reaching for Vernon who sat beside the leader.

"Appa's here, baby, don't worry" the oldest help sit him up with the help of Chan and Vernon took him into his arms, "You're okay. Just breathe, Kwannie or else you'll make yourself worse."

Vernon took one of Seungkwan's hands and placed it over his heart while demonstrating the breathing he wanted him to do, breathing softly into his ear. Junhui had gotten up and told the staff members closest to him to postpone the photoshoot to another day before going back to the other 12 idols. Once Seungkwan was calmed down and resting in the mentally older's arms but awake, Joshua took the time to direct their attention to the little's left ankle. It was bruised pretty badly and already quite swollen which couldn't be a good sign.

Vernon took Seungkwan into his arms since walking could damage his ankle even more and he took the mentally younger to one of the staff's cars that agreed to drive them while the rest of the group started packing up.

~ A few hours later ~

It's been a couple hours after the incident at the park and Seungkwan has been discharged from the hospital. It turns out he sprained his ankle so he'd have to stay off of it for a few weeks which meant no dance practice. He kept protesting when it was suggested that he go on hiatus but Seungkwan promised that he'd be extra careful if they didn't make him go on hiatus. PLEDIS eventually crumbled and agreed with Seungkwan with, of course, very strict rules on what he could and couldn't do.

On top of this, while in Seungkwan's hospital room, he revealed his phobia about deep water and how that was the cause of his reaction. He explained how it developed, the fact that his headspace came from the fear, why he never went in pools and more. When asked why he kept it a secret, Seungkwan admitted he felt his phobia was childish and an idol, who's supposed to be presented as perfect, shouldn't be dealing with stuff like his. He got a response that told him idols aren't perfect which started with each member listing off things about themselves that aren't the best.

"Dinner!" Junhui yelled from the kitchen where he and Mingyu started plating the food.

The members agreed to have a movie night at Seungkwan's dorm after the idol wanted to spend the night will all the members. The dorm wasn't meant for 13 people in it all at once but somehow, Seventeen managed to make it work. The duo brought in the food and paused when Junhui counted 11 included him and Mingyu then saw the last two members entering.

"Sorry we're not here. I was helping Seungkwan hyung change the bandage on his ankle" Vernon announced when he walked in, his hyung on his back and out of his headspace.

"Vernon, you didnt have to carry me" Seungkwan complained, "I can walk myself."

"Hyung, you're advised to stay off your ankle and you had a pretty shitty day today. Let us pamper and take care of you."

Vernon set Seungkwan down on the couch then proceeded to move his sprained ankle to rest on his shoulder to elevate it. After handing out the food, they let Seungkwan choose what to watch and although he has strict rules on what to do and wanted to not go on a hiatus, he'd enjoy days like this. Hanging out with his members, no cameras around.

I've had a busy week (something every day) and I'm exhausted. I still have a concert tomorrow night and I'm going on a trip for the weekend. Since I'm gonna be gone for the weekend, I'll update with another requested oneshot on Friday then the next one either Monday or Tuesday.
