Sophie, right?" he said with a grin. "Nice jersey!"
"Thanks, . You were amazing out there we would have lost without you!" she replied, her heart racing.
Florian looked genuinely pleased. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's always great to see familiar faces in the crowd."
"Hey, some of the guys and I are heading to a local café to celebrate. Would you like to join us?" he asked.
Sophie's eyes widened with excitement. She couldn't believe what just happened did one of her favorite football players just invite her to eat with them. "I'd love to!"
"Do you need a ride or how did you come here?" Florian asked
" I came by bus, but don't worry I can just take the bus I mean you must be exhausted from the game"
" Ey no worries get in we're driving
She couldn't help but be nervous I mean she would not only eat with Florian Wirtz but also some other players. As she sat down she was truly happy that it was only them and the driver.
At the café, Sophie found herself surrounded by some of Leverkusen's finest players. Florian had quickly introduced her and luckily everyone was ok with her being there. She laughed and talked with them, feeling like she was part of something special. Florian stayed close to her, making sure she felt comfortable and included.
As the night wore on, Florian and Sophie found themselves in a quieter corner, away from the lively chatter of the group. They talked about their dreams and aspirations, their fears and triumphs. Sophie was surprised at how easily she could open up to him.
"You know, when I first started following football, I never imagined it would lead to moments like this," Sophie confessed. "Meeting you has been such an unexpected and wonderful experience."
Florian smiled, his eyes reflecting the dim light of the café. "I'm glad we met too, Sophie. Sometimes, the best things in life come when you least expect them."
