Veronica's P.O.V.
I've been running for what seemed like forever. I eventually realized there was no place to hide. Krampus is sure to find me now. At one point, I started hearing what sounded like a sweet voice singing from a distance.
Come little children I'll take thee away
Into a land of enchantment
Come little children yhe time's come to play
Here in my garden of shadows
Follow sweet children I'll show thee the way
Through all the pain and the sorrows
Weep not poor children for life is this way
Murdering beauty and passions
Hush now dear children it must be this way
Too weary of life and deceptions
Rest now my children for soon we'll away
Into the calm and the quiet
Come little children I'll take thee away
Into a land of enchantment
Come little children the time's come to play
Here in my garden of shadows
Usually I'm not one for falling for practical jokes, but I knew for sure it was Krampus trying to trick me. I took the jug of salt out of my purse and prepared to strike. Before I could use it, Krampus was closing in. I put the jug back in my purse before he noticed it. Krampus grabs me by my dress and lifts me up. "Thought you could get away from me, huh? I don't think so!" He snarled. "Paul, I know you're in there somewhere! Snap out of it, please!" I pleaded.
Krampus started to develop a worried expression. "Veronica?" He asked. He started sounding like Paul. He's still possessed, but it seems like he's trying to fight it. "Paul, honey? Are you in there?" I asked as tears filled my eyes. "Paul's gone!! From now on, it's Krampus!!!" Yelled my still possessed husband. Oh no! Krampus is still in full control of Paul! "Paul, please! You have to fight it! Don't you remember the song you wrote to me recently?!" I asked worriedly. "I know nothing!" Krampus said. "You have to know! I know you're in there somewhere, Paulie!" I said.
I took a deep shaky breath and started to sing a song that Paul recently wrote for me. Hopefully, Krampus will calm down and leave my husband's body.
I give her all my love
That's all I do
And if you saw my love
You'd love her too
I love her
She gives me everything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her
A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me
Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her
Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her
Krampus dropped me after I finished singing. He looked as if he was crying. I walked over to my husband and put my hands on his shoulders. "Paul? Are you... back to normal?" I asked. A long moment of silence occurred, then Krampus grabbed me again. "Gotcha!! Now, it's time to die!!!" He snarled. "No!! Let me go, you monster!!!" I yelled.
I managed to push Krampus off of me and kept running. Instead of running through the woods some more, I decided to run back home. There's nowhere to hide in the woods, so I'm left with no other choice but to run back home.
Here's the first song that went on earlier, which Krampus used to lure Veronica towards him. ~ Amanda
