Sans was able to get permission to venture to town with Mandalay to buy groceries and new supplies. Azzy and Kota were at UA learning with Nezu so thankfully they weren't involved. Sans and Mandalay stood in the middle of the WWPC base with bags on their arms and on a blaster. There were children everywhere. Eerily similar children running around buck naked.

Sans - "Mandalay?"

The woman at his side was soon on the ground unconscious next to a seventy pound bag of rice.

Sans - "Guess the shock was too much for her. Hey, Kiddies! Come here!"

Sans wasn't sure what was happening. The children were clearly his classmates, but they were children. Thankfully he found the Pussycats and a teenage Undyne among them.

Undyne - Sans! Why am I short again?!"

Sans - "How am I supposed to know? Pixie Bob? Ragdoll? Tiger?"

Tiger - "A little boy was running over on the field crying that he lost his father. Pixie tried to help him but he panicked and used his quirk. Everyone here is ten years younger than normal."

Pixie Bob - "I'm twenty-one again!"

Ragdoll - "The kid said his quirk wears off after a full day so we're just trying to round up your classmates. Unlike us, they're all four, five, or six so they don't remember as much as we do. We're going to have to be babysitters until tomorrow night."

Sans - "You might wanna take Mandalay inside. I think she fainted from the shock."

Undyne - "Ugh I hate this. I wanted to forget this time of my life."

Sans snickered and snapped a photo.

Undyne - "Delete that immediately!"

Sans - "Nope. I sent it to Al."

Undyne - "Just wait until I'm back to normal, punk."

Undyne stormed inside and slammed the door behind her. Sans wholeheartedly laughed at her expense. A small but very insistent tug on his finger drew his attention down to a small green haired boy.

Sans - "What's up Midoriya?"

Izuku - "I can't find Kacchan. Do you know where he is?"

Sans - "Don't worry, he's around here somewhere."

Turning his attention to the blaster who was slowly forming sentience.

Sans - "Keep the children here. I'll be back soon."

Sans hesitantly took a shortcut. The journey seemed to take longer than it usually did. The faint glow his body gave off was still there, but the Void was...off. The unmentionable terrors that resided in the Void, Sans could feel their gaze on him, but they were still. Unmoving. Without a soul, Sans couldn't locate it. But it seemed to regard him more of a curiosity than anything. Why else would it watch him? He couldn't speak to it so he could determine his intelligence.

Ichika - "Sans? What're you doing back so soon?"

Sans blinked. He looked around. He couldn't recall finishing the journey at all.

Sans - "Hey Ma. Sorry for dropping in like this. There's been a quirk incident at camp. Do you still have Eiji's old toddler clothes?"

Ichika - "Give me ten minutes."

Ichika's face was serious, no bs mode as she zoomed to the attic. If he didn't already know, he would've sworn she had superspeed with how fast she raced off the couch. She returned with a massive duffle bag filled with who knows what.

Sans - "I'm gonna have to take you through a shortcut. Don't move around too much and keep your eyes shut.

Sans grabbed her hand and took the shortcut. Thank whatever lucky star he was created under that they got back without incident. The Void will have some observation trials later.

Eijirou - "Mommy!"

A crying black haired baby Eijirou ran to Ichika.

Ichika - "Don't cry anymore love. Mommy's here. Let's get you and your friends dressed. Follow me everyone. Sans, how many people were in your class?"

Sans - "Including me? Twenty-one. Why?"

Ichika - "We are one toddler short. Where's Bakugo?"

Izuku - "We have to find Kacchan!"

Shoto - "He ran off into the woods saying he'd fight a bear."

Sans felt his Soul drop to his stomach.

Sans - "I'll go find him."

Sans ran off into the forest. He sent out a couple of tiny Blasters to scout.

Sans - "Katsuki? Kats, where are you! You're gonna get sick out here! Oh, I'm so gonna make you regret this when you're normal again."

"Owie."

Sans's neck snapped to his right and saw a small semi-naked Katsuki rubbing his forehead. He looked to have tripped over a tree root and smacked his face on the ground. He was wearing the shirt he was wearing before toddler-fication but nothing else. Sans very quickly snapped a picture and shrugged off his jacket.

Sans - "You should know better than run off like that Katsuki. Especially with so little clothing. You're gonna catch your death out here."

Sans wrapped Katsuki in the jacket and looked toward the moon.

Mandalay - "I'm glad you found him."

Sans - "Yeah, I can't find my way back. I'll stay put until one of you guys can come for us."

Mandalay - "Alright. Tiger will be there in fifteen minutes. How'd you run that fast in such a short time?! You can't even lift!"

Katsuki - "Who are you and why are you talking to yourself?"

Sans - "I was talking to the prohero Mandalay. Her quirk is Telepathy. Tiger is going to come for us soon."

Sans sat on the same root Katsuki tripped over.

Katsuki - "I'm cold, hungry, and sleepy."

Sans - "Okay? I don't know what you expect me to do about it."

A drop of water landed on Sans's nose and he slowly looked up. Clouds blocked the moon leaving them in a dark and muddy forest.

Sans - "Of course it had to rain! Nothing is ever simple is it?!"

Sans hugged Katsuki close and debated a shortcut. It was quickly shot down. They might be stuck in the rain, but it was better than a squirmy toddler in the Void. Sans started running to find some kind of shelter. At last he found a decrepit little shack. It was old and dirty, but it had four walls and a roof so Sans booked it for the shack. Katsuki was thankfully still though his mouth was not.

Katsuki - "The hell's up with you?! It's just rain! Stop fucking running!"

Sans - "Stop complaining. I, apparently, have a weak immune system. I don't fancy getting another cold cause your stubborn ass doesn't care about the rain!"

Smoke slowly radiated from Sans's head. His day had been far too stressful from waking up to the girls drawing of Mina's face to carrying a massive bag of rice from the grocery store as "weight training" to now. Well, waste not want not, as Grillby raised him to think.

Sans - "Gimme that stick, now."

Sans kept riling himself up, mentally, making himself more and more angry until his hair caught fire. Snatching a stick from Katsuki's tiny hands, Sans lit a small fire and gathered dead leaves and twigs and fallen planks of wood to build the fire more. Katsuki spread globs of wet mud in a circle around the fire.

Katsuki - "Dad took me camping once and showed me this trick cause the rocks were too heavy. The mud will dry into a rock and the fire won't spread."

San smiled softly. He reached his hand through the door to wet his hand then rubbed out the fire in his hair.

Katsuki - "What's your quirk?"

Sans - "I don't have a quirk, I have magic."

Katsuki - "Magic isn't real."

Sans - "It is and, despite my appearance, I'm not a human. I'm a Monster."

Katsuki - "Monster? Mom said monsters eat kids who don't eat their broccoli."

Sans - "Well, I'm not gonna argue with your mom, however that is a very few monsters. Most Monsters eat normal food and are mostly vegetarian. Monsters also don't have quirks, we have magic."

Katuski - "Okay then, what kind of magic do you have?"

Sans - "I can manipulate Souls, travel through the Void using what I call Shortcuts, I can summon something called a Blaster, and Fire Magic. I will not show you a shortcut, you already saw my Fire Magic, and this is Soul Manipulation."

Sans took hold of Katuski's swirly rainbow Soul. Red and orange being the most prominent, but children aren't fully developed enough for their souls to remain a certain color/colors. He made Katsuki fly around the room twice before setting him down by the fire.

Katsuki - "That was awesome!"

Sans - "Thank you very much. I don't have food, so let's try to go to sleep, alright?"

Katsuki - "Dad tells me a story before bedtime."

Sans - "Fine. Let's see... Okay, let's get you all comfy cozy."

Sans shrugged off his coat and wrapped it around Katsuki and pulled the toddler to lay against his chest. His tiny head laid on his shoulder.

Sans - "Don't complain if you don't like the "story"."

Katsuki - "Can't be worse than Miss. Yuki."

Sans - "Long ago, far away, centuries before today. Humans and Monsters lived in harmony above ground on the surface. Both races shared the bounty of the surface and the skies. Neither race took too much and they shared what they got. However the peace was not to last. War broke out. The Humans, who had very few gifted in magic, managed to win against Monster kind. The Monsters were forced below ground. Deep, deep down in a hollowed mountain, Monster kind were sealed by the Human sorcerers.

The sorcerers trapped them with a spell only the Humans could cast. The spell erected a barrier that would turn a monster to dust the second the Monster touched it. "Listen children to these words, Ebott will protect you from the Humans. Human weapons go clack clack clack, they tear through flesh and bone with ease. If a Human climbs the mountain they will fall down.

Little Monster, live and thrive under the Mountain. Beware the humans. Should they fall, run and hide or stay and fight.Watch over your Soul. Should a Human get your Soul, they will take it and break it apart. Trouble up above, trouble up above. Do not spare them, run and fight."

Living Underground, Monsters thrived. Mount Ebott became the Monster's home. The accumulation of Monsters in a single place caused the Underground to form natural magic. King Asgore ruled over the Monsters with kindness and taught them agriculture and helped build homes... and the rest is history."

Katsuki was lightly snoozing. He was clutching Sans's shirt with one hand and his other was pressed in between them with his tiny thumb and forefinger hanging from his mouth. Sans laid by the fire and watched the flames until his eyes fell shut.

<~>

Sans woke up in his bed in the boys room. He was by himself, but the sound of high pitched shushing made him grin. He felt around with his magic until he was able to sense two different Souls.

Katsuki - "Deku, he said he didn't have a quirk!"

Izuku - "So he's like me?"

Katsuki - "No way! He has magic!"

Sans listened to the two children until he had enough of the one sided bickering. He sent out a blaster to fly the two children to his bed.

Sans - "Why would you two brats wake me up?"

Katsuki - "Get the hell up, it's breakfast time!"

Izuku - "Kacchan, don't be so mean!"

Sans - "Both of you shut up. S'too early to deal with you two."

Sans dispelled the blaster and held both children in his arms. Thankfully they were both dressed in Eijirou's old clothes. Katsuki was wearing a red vest over a white shirt and shorts and Midoriya was wearing an All Might shirt with shorts. They were both devoid of socks and shoes. Izuku was moved to sit on his shoulders to stop Katsuki from being a little antagonist.

Sans quickly made his way to the dining room where Ichika, Natsumi, Undyne, and the Pussycats were keeping the plethora of children under control. He sat Izuku at the table with Uraraka, Asui, and Todoroki. He brought Bakugo to the table with the toddler-fied Baku-squad. Sans took the plate of bacon and put some on his plate.

Ichika - "Sans, don't let them serve themselves."

Sans - "Okay Ma. Whadda yall want to eat?"

They all started yelling out what they wanted so Sans silenced them quickly.

Sans - "Tenya, what do you want?"

Iida - "Three bacon, one egg, and orange, please!"

Sans loaded his plate and handed it to him then looked toward Eijirou.

Eijirou - "Um, scrambled eggs, toast, and sausage?"

Sans piled Eijirou's plate with enough food for his tiny body.

Denki - "Bacon, Sausage, eggs and toast!"

Sans chuckled and set Denki's plate in front of him.

Mina - "Can I have a bunch of fruit and some toast?"

Sans - "Sure thing Mina."

Sans cut up some strawberries, cantaloupe, blueberries, grapes and some orange slices in a bowl and slid it over to her with toast on a napkin.

Hitoshi - "Oatmeal please?"

Sans - "Are you sure? You can have more than just plain oatmeal."

Hitoshi - "Sausage?"

Sans put some sausage and toast on a plate and slid it over with some blueberry oatmeal.

Hanta - Just a bowl of cereal please."

Katsuki - "I don't care."

Sans filled Katsuki's plate with eggs and bacon and finally proceeded to eat his food.

<~>

Sans was officially done with the day. Training was officially canceled for that day, but for once Sans would've taken training over dealing with, essentially, a kindergarten class. Katsuki was constantly trying to fight everyone and showing off his weak firecracker palms. Denki wasn't allowed near water, Uraraka had to be attached to a child leash so she didn't fly into space, and Hagakure had to be on another leash so he couldn't lose her.

Thankfully everyone else was easily occupied by hero themed coloring books and cookies. Koda was off in a corner talking to some random birds. Hitoshi was cuddling with Aizawa on the couch. He was more than willing to come down for a couple of hours. Mainly for Hitoshi, but he was taking plenty of pictures for the parents and for blackmailing purposes. Sans was the one who was in charge of watching over the majority of kids while the Pussycats were spread out informing the families. Sans was ready to sleep for a week.

Sans - "Kids! Outside time! Aizawa, Is Hitoshi good to go outside?"

Shota - "No. Are you going to be okay by yourself?"

Sans - "We'll see."

Sans heaved a sigh as he led the march of toddlers outside into a fenced off perimeter. Just a few more hours. Mini Baku-squad was playing tag, Mini Deku-squad (Midoriya, Uraraka, Todoroki, and Asui) were playing with a ball, and the others were strewn about.

He had a newfound respect for the work Grillby had to do to raise him. And even more respect for Shota to have to deal with teenagers all day for most of the year. Sans could never.

<~>

Sans blinked his eyes open and stretched languidly. He was still outside, but the sun was mostly set now. The yard was empty and the toddler fencing was gone. Panic enveloped Sans as he rushed inside. The Pussycats were chatting it up in the kitchen and Undyne was sleeping on the couch in the other room.

Tiger - "Good evening Sans. Sleep well?"

Sans - "Where are the kids?! I can't find them!"

A familiar hand was placed on Sans's head.

Katsuki - "Calm the hell down Richter. They're making dinner."

Sans spun around and punched Katsuki in the gut. Katsuki bent over slightly from the impact allowing Sans to perform his signature BF attack: Koala Hug.

Katsuki held Sans, confused. Sans had fallen back to sleep after grabbing ahold of him.

Mandalay - "Let him sleep. He'll wake up when he gets hungry."
