"Ishima, aap kaha jaa rahe ho?" Her 6 year old asked, rubbing her eyes.
(Ishima, where are you going?)

Maybe the mask and gloves gave her the idea, she thought mentally praising her smart babygirl.

"Kahi nahi, Rooh. Aap so jawo, ok!" Ishita replied tugging her on the very same sofa.
(Nowhere, Rooh. You just sleep.)

She softly kissed her hair, rubbed her 11 years son hair and turned off the TV.

Checking her car keys, she was just about to open the door when a strong hand stopped her.

"Kaha jaa rahi ho?" He asked, voice as firm as the same door he was holding.
(Where are you going?)

"Raman, I have to go." She pleaded.

"Pagal ho kya!" Her eyes suddenly found the floor interesting, as if trying to avoid the anger visible in his eyes "Lockdown ka matlab nahi pata?"
(Are you mad! Don't you know the meaning of lockdon?)

"Pata hai, Raman." She softly said "Par hospital mai emergency hai."
(I know, Raman. But there is an emergency at hospital.)

"Kahe ki emergency? Tum Dentist ho." He emphasised on the last part, as if she would forgot her own hard earned degree.
(What emergency. You are a Dentist.)

"I know Raman." Ishita could not help but roll her eyes, like every other time when he said the same thing.

"But gumache don't understand lockdown. Don't worry about me. I will take care." She smiled trying to calm him down.

"Oe who said I am worried about you?" His sarcastic tone back on the track. " I am worried myself, our kids, our family." He retorted back.

Ishita supressed her smile when he unconciously said our kids, our family.

"Okay baba. Ghar pei nahi aaungi. Aama ke paas jake, fresh hoke aaunge." She smiled releasing the door from his firm grip.
(Okay dear. I won't directly come at home. I will freshen up at Mother's first.)

"Whatever" He turned before she could exit.

*****

Ishita groaned entering the passage. She just wanted to sleep like a log but damn this Covid-19, she still needed to freshen up.

She turned toward her mothers apartment, hoping her mother won't taunt her about her weird shift.

"Amma!" she called not wanting to touch any surfaces. (Mother!)

After calling two-three times, she gave a slight push to the door and to her suprise it opened.

She blinked her eyes seeing neatly kept slippers on the side. Changing her footwear, she entered the already open bathroom.

Taking a quick shower; she changed, thanking her Amma mentally for thinking about everything, from dress to separate laundry basket.

She locked her parent's apartment, jogged toward her own's. She was expecting her mother on dining table with angry frown, her father throwing worried glances at her.

But it was her two small babies and one big one, waiting on the dining table eyes barely opened.

"Ishima!" Adi and Ruhi rushed to hug her, Raman also taking small steps.

"Aap bhar kyu gaye-" (Why did you go out-)

"Ishima, aap hame keheto ho bahar mat jawo-" (Ishima, you tell us to not go out and -)

Both were saying something but her brain focused on only one person.

She smiled as his eyes roamed from top to down, heartbeat rising as he frown dissapered seeing her wet hair, his clam breaths seeing her back safe.

She smiled realising who arranged all those things for her at her mother's.

She could feel herself blusing, hearing that l-word even though his lips didn't part.

"Adi-Rooh, Ishima ko khana khane do. She must be tried." He softly said.
(Adi-Rooh, let her have the meal. She must be tried.)

Peaking her forehead softly, he served her food as the kids entered their room after wishing them goodnight.

Ishita knew many things were waiting for her next morning.

Her mother's muttering about her weird job, her father's long rants about the precaution, her father-in-law's worried glances, her mother-in-law's weird youtube recommended remedies for corona.

But at the very moment, she enjoyed the soft, worried lovefilled glances from her Raman, as he served her food.
