"I was walkin' in the wholesale flower district that day
Shoop da-doo,
and I passed by this place where this old Chinese man
Chang da-doo
he sometimes sells me weird and exotic cuttings
Snip da-doo,
cause he knows, you see, that strange plants are my hobby
Da da da da da da-doo.
He didn't have anything unusual there that day
Nope, da-doo
so I was just about to, ya know, walk on by
Good for you
when suddenly,
and without warning, there was this total eclipse of the sun
It got very dark and then I heard a strange
humming sound, like something from another world!
Da-doo,
And when the light came back this weird plant was just sitting there
whoop-see-doo
just, you know, stuck in, among the zinnias.
Y/N Two.
I coulda sworn it hadn't been there before
but the old Chinese man sold it to me anyways.....
for a dollar ninety-five."
"Well that sounds right up your ally."
You said smiling. "Yeah, totally." Both of you looked down at the plant, until it suddenly started to drupe down. "Ah dang it, that's the thing, I don't know what's been going on with it. It isn't in any of my paranormal studies, so that means I've discovered something entirely new." You gasped. "That's so cool! Oh boy here I thought it would be Zim again. But it turned out to be a plant. Oh by golly that's great!" You exclaimed clapping happily. "Would you like to help me with it tonight?" Your smile faded. "Oh-I actually have something to go to tonight..." you trailed off looking away. "What?" Dib asked. "What if this is something with Zim? If it was I-.." You sighed. "I may or may not have been attempting to turn Zim around. I couldn't help if that thing was his and it would kill everyone."
"Oh relax, he's not that competent!" Dib said patting you. "I did overhear his next disguise plan though." You said. "What! Tell me!" Dib said immediately eagerly waiting for an answer. "A dentist. Inflicting pain on humans yadda yadda." Dib scratched head. "That's....surprisingly dark of him." You laughed. "Yeah no kidding. Thank you again for showing me this again, it really means a lot to me." You said grabbing your coat and smiling. "Yeah Anytime." He said waving goodbye. As you shut the door behind you, Dib slumped onto his bed looking at the plant.
"I've given you sunshine
I've given you dirt
You've given me nothing
But heartache and hurt
I'm begging you sweetly
I'm down on my knees
Oh please grow for me
I've given you plant food
And water to sip
I've given you pot ash
You've given me zip
Oh god how I missed you
But oh how you tease
Please grow for me
I've given you southern exposure to get you to thrive
I've hit you back hard like I'm supposed to
You're barely alive
I've tried you at levels of moisture from desert to mud
I've given you grow lights and mineral supplements
What do you want from me, blood?!"
As Dib picked up some wires on the floor in frustration he yelped as it pricked his finger. "Stupid wires." He said sucking on his finger to get rid of the blood. But out of the corner of his eye, he could see Y/N 2 moving and imitating him. Dib sighed and walked over looking at his finger and the plant. He put up to Y/N 2, and it nearly chomped his finger. Instead, he squeezed the blood out of his finger, as the plant ate it.
"I've given you sunlight
I've given you rain
Looks like you're not happy
'Less I open a vein
I'll give you a few drops
If that'll appease
Oh please
Oh oh oh please
Grow for me."
"DIB! YOUR STINKING DINNER'S READY!" Gaz yelled out as Dib wiped his finger properly on a handkerchief. "Coming!" He replied walking out of the room, closing the door behind him. Little did he know that plant was growing alright. It was growing to be a problem wether he knew it or not.
As the night continued on, you sat at your desk, looking through house catalogs. Then suddenly, a knock came at the door. "Heya hon, I've got some dinner here for you. It's your favorite!" You mom said setting the dinner on your desk. "Thanks mom." You said kissing her cheek as she ruffled your hair. "No problem honey." She said smiling before leaving you in your room. You looked at the catalogues again and sighed sadly.
I know Dib's the greatest
But I'm friends with a semi-sadist
So I had a black eye
And my arm was in a cast.
Still, that Dib's a cutie
Well, if not, he's got inner beauty
And I dream of a place
Where I could be free at last
A matchbox of my own
A fence of real chain link,
A grill out on the patio
Disposal in the sink
A washer and a dryer and an ironing machine
In a tract house that I'd own
Somewhere that's green.
