The next morning, you woke up to the sound of your mother freaking out about the broken window. After that you heard footsteps and the door opening to your room. "Y/N what happened?!" You were very awake now do to the fact that your mother startled so you had to think of something to say. You quickly changed into your clothes and ran to your mom. "Mom, you're not going to believe me but a little alien Robot broke into our home!"

Your Mom sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Honey I had a long night at work. I'm not in the mood." You grabbed her hand and started to drag her to the kitchen. "Mom it's true I got proof!" You didn't realize it earlier, but it just occurred to you that you were starting to sound a lot like your best friend. "See look in the fridge! Look at that bite! And here! The phone wire was chewed off!" Your Mom put a hand on your shoulder. "Honey it was probably a raccoon or something," She reasons patting your head. "A Raccoon?" You said softly sounding a tad bit hurt. Your thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Oh! That's probably your little friend! Here take a Pop Tart, and your book bag." She handed you your bag and the pop tart as you gave her a big hug "I love you mom." She smiled back giving you a hug. "I love you too baby."

After you waved goodbye, you walked outside and met up with Dib. You began to check your bag to make sure that everything was there. You pulled out The Great Gatsby to make sure it was there and put it back. "Is that The Great Gatsby I see?" Dib asked smirking. "Well, yeah. Why?" You asked. "Not many people at our school read that kind of stuff. I can't get over how ahead of your time you are." You smiled. "You've known me for 6 months and you just realize that now," You questioned. "Well, all I know is that your going places. Trust me, you and I will be unstoppable! We'll be legends!" You smiled brightly.

A little later that day, you arrived in Ms. Bitter's class. "Good Morning Ms. Bitters!" You said trying to give her a smile. In response she growled. At that point you froze and slowly walked to your desk. "Another day of this." You thought as you leaned back on your chair and took our your homework and notebooks.

Later as you got back from lunch, Ms. Bitters continued her lecture about the moon landing and how it would eventually lead everyone to their doom. Of course Dib raised his hand in protest a few times contradicting her lesson with the moon landing conspiracy theory. She ultimately shut him down and she continued on, until there was a call on the class phone. She grumbled and slithered over to the phone and answered it. She stood there, hardly moving an inch as she listened to the other end of the phone. When the other person on the phone was done, she slammed the phone back on the rack and opened the door. "Class, I have to make a trip to the main office. If any of you, and I mean any of you make a wrong move, I'll keep you after school to do unspeakable things." And with that, she slammed the door, leaving you and the class all alone.

Since you were only a few seats away from Dib you attempted to get his attention. "Pssst. Dib!" You finally got his attention as he looked over at you. "Um, you know those things you said about the moon earlier," you asked. "Yeah?" You beamed a bit giving him a thumbs up. "I thought they were credible reasons." He smiled back. "Thanks Y/N!" You gave another thumbs up and relaxed in your seat again until you saw Ms. Bitters open the door again followed by...oh dear. You felt your stomach turn. That was him. That was the alien Gir mentioned. It had to be! Dib clearly looked surprised too as he was awestruck and pointing, lost for words. "Class, I would like to introduce the newest, hopeless appendage to the student body. His Name is Zim." She turned over to Zim. "Now Zim say something now. After this I don't want to hear another sound from you!" She hissed slithering again to her desk. Always with the slithering that woman.

(Before I continue, I know the lines aren't exact, but I don't want to full on copy it so they will a bit different. So keep that in mind)

"Hello Friends," Zim began. "I am a perfectly normal human worm baby. You have nothing to be afraid of! Just pay no attention to me and we'll get along just fine." He said then taking his seat. Ms. Bitters was saying something else, but you couldn't hear it over your own thoughts. Once you snapped back to reality, you saw Ms Bitters muttering to herself,
"Doomed...doomed...doomed," Over and over again.

Then Dib did exactly what you thought he would do, pointing out Zim. If he was an alien as you and Dib claimed to be, then you felt the need to give him a warm welcome. You packed your things slowly as you noticed it was a minute until school was out. There was some conflict with other students and Dib but you didn't listen. You were already anxious as it was trying to say hello to Zim without messing it up. You stopped your train of thought when you suddenly heard Ms. Bitters abruptly say "Go Home Now." And with that everyone ran toward the door or climbed out the windows believe it or not.

Before Zim could leave the room, you walked up to him slowly and tapped him on the back. "Eh? Oh another smelly human. What do you want?" Your anxiety had started to burn intensely within your mind and body but you ignored it. "Hello Zim! I'm Y/N. I know moving is a hard process, but I hope you make yourself acquainted here! If you need any help at all I would be happy to help." He looked at you confused and a little impatient. "I won't require assistance. Zim needs no help from a human!!!" He yelled as he marched right of the room. You were honestly confused on wether it went well or not. As soon as you looked over to find Dib, he was already running out of the room presumably after Zim. Curiosity got the best of you, and you followed along. They stood on the steps talking. You hid behind the large doors eavesdropping. "How do you know they work if you haven't found an alien before?" Zim asked. "I'm going to find out right now." Dib replied as you heard Dib yell and Zim Yelping and the pitter patters of running. You opened the door to find them chasing each other.

Part of you wanted so badly to follow them, while the other part wanted to just go home and sleep. But you of course followed that ambitious side of you and ran after them. It wasn't until they started to get on the main roads was when you started to regret it. You tried your best to keep up but stay safe and be a well behaved person. You looked up to find Zim jumping from an Ice cream truck to the school bus as Dib ran after him and climbed on too. "Oh god I'm really doing this aren't I?" You said having a mini freak out as you ran to the side of the bus and found a part where you can hold on to while it began to move again. You were clutching on for dear life until you saw Zim jump on the fence only to fall over and get attacked by dogs. You let go of the bus and hid behind the fence near the curb. Zim then pushed Dib behind the fence while the dogs then started to attack him. You looked over to find Zim speak into this weird machine and seconds later Gir came as he was flying with rockets at the bottom of his feet. Zim grabbed on to him and before you knew it he was off. You couldn't believe what you were seeing. This was a lot to take in.

Dib had followed the smoke trail and soon enough you found yourself doing the same. The trail led to his house and..oh boy, Even his house was cruddy. Eventually you gave up eavesdropping and began to walk home until you heard footsteps behind you and someone grab your arm and practically drag you. Your first instinct was to kick their nuts so you did so, and you heard a familiar voice. "It's just me Y/N! It's just me!" Dib said hunching over in pain. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to, I got scared and it was just first instinct to protect myself." You replied nervously trying to figure out how to help him. Maybe get some ice for his crotch? You didn't know. "It's ok, that's good. That means you can defend yourself well." He said replying as he stood straight again.

"So," you turned and looked at Zim's house. "A real life alien. Not like the ones in the movies we watched huh?" You said staring at the house not moving a muscle. "This...Is great! Hahah!" He said laughing. "A real life alien! If I catch and expose him I'll be a famous paranormal investigator in no time!" You didn't know why, but you just had a bad feeling about all of this. Zim didn't seem like a threat all that much, but something inside you felt like nothing was going to be the same anymore. After being friends for 6 months there was one thing about Dib that you knew and was a bit of a problem. Once he had a goal, it would take a knife to the gut to stop him from achieving this. He wouldn't care how long it would take, and he would let himself deteriorate. You remember one time he hardly got any sleep and the bags under his eyes became clearly visible. Hopefully he learned from his mistake.

"How about we discuss this at my place instead of the middle of a neighborhood?" You suggested. "Oh yeah...good idea."

Later when you both stepped into your house and walked into the kitchen you found your mother and your Aunt Trudy in the kitchen.

(I don't have an aunt Trudy actually, but I think we all at least know someone like aunt Trudy and you'll see that in a minute)

"Hi Honey, Hey Dib. Can I get you two anything?" You shook your head. "It's ok Mom, I got it." You said going to the cupboard to grab snacks and the fridge for drinks. "So turns out your alien robot theory was correct." You turned to face her. "R-really?" Your mom nodded. She had a little bit of bags under eyes from presumably work. "Yeah. He came in earlier looking for you and going for the food in the fridge. Then he just left with rockets on his feet." You froze and dropped the two sodas you grabbed from the fridge along with the snacks. You snapped back and quickly picked up the sodas and snacks. "Oh hi Aunt Trudy." You said waving and smiling. She smiled back and looked at Dib. "So who is this? Your boyfriend? He certainly looks like a perfect fit for you." You immediately started to feel uncomfortable and judging by Dib's demeanor he felt the same. You handed him a soda and snack and mumbled for him to meet you in your room. He nodded and left. You felt bad for him considering that you two were only good friends and that's all you wanted to be. "No Trudy, they're just friends. Just very very good friends." Your Mom said easing tension.

(I mean, we all know or met someone like the fictional Aunt Trudy right?)

You waved and began to walk to your room until you heard your mom mention you and you listened in, "He's honestly the only true friend Y/N's had. She's always had such a hard time making friends with girls or the boys will just pick on them. Dib is a nice boy and I would hate for Y/N to loose that." You frowned. It was true, he was the only friend you've ever really had, but you were always just shy. Gretchen and Zita seemed like fairly decent girls so maybe they would be good friends...?? You didn't know. You wanted to be friends with Zim but he's obviously not really willing to play the part.

You would keep trying though, no matter how long to try to get on Zim's good side.

Who knows? Maybe You, Dib and Zim could get along some day.

...That hope alone was probably the most funniest joke Y/N has ever made in their life.
