So the first question is what is Morse Code?

Morse code is a method used in telecommunication to encode text characters as standardized sequences of two different signal durations, called dots and dashes or dits and dahs. Morse code is named after Samuel Morse, an inventor of the telegraph.

.=(A dot or dits)
-=(a dash or dahs)

The telegram in a way was the beginning of the telephone.

(It looked like this)

A person uses a telegraph to send Morse code messages by pressing a transmission key. Pressing the key quickly, would send a dot (or dits). Pressing the key longer sends a dash(or dahs). A object called a register receives incoming codes and transcribes them by marking dots and dashes on a strip of paper.

The object in the red circle is the thing they would press.

Some also use morse code in emergencies. They'll use use this when places are flying over head. Someone will create a fire, then write S.O.S in morse code. (...  ---  ... it looks like that)

So, it's very helpful.
