"The truth. It is a beautiful and terrible thing, and should therefore be treated with caution." —Albus Dumbledore

THIRD POV:

"Abraxas", said Walburga as she guided them upstairs into her personal study.

"Walburga, always looking beautiful as usual", Abraxas, the pale blonde replied leaning on the door frame as Walburga seated at her desk.

Orion who was with his youngest son was wondering where his wife went. Curious, he gave his youngest son to his mother who happily took the baby before heading outside with his father to watch over the other children.

Closing his eyes he felt the family wards around him, almost immediately he found where his wife was. She was in her study with Abraxas Malfoy. Alarmed he apologized to his guest that was trying to talk to him and headed upstairs to investigate.

/Meanwhile upstairs with Walburga and Abraxas/

"Enough pleasentries Walburga, tell me, why have you suddenly pulled away from the dark lord? This is unbecoming of you", the blonde asked almost sneering out as he walked in front of Walburga's desk shutting the door.

"Abraxas you don't honestly think that the dark Lord isn't using you? I honestly didn't think you were this much of a fool", Walburga bit out, a bit upset.

"I am his right hand man, he wouldn't use me like that. You know nothing, you're a woman. Know your place", he said furious almost yelling at her.

Orion was nearing his wife's study room, when he heard muffled yelling. Alert he slammed the door open, only to see his wife and Abraxas engaging into a heated argument. Not noticing him, he disillusioned himself and watched from the corner of the office.

"Abraxas! Open your eyes, the world isn't like what it used to be. Be honest, how many times has the dark Lord asked you for money or mentioned about your wealth?", Walburga shouted at Abraxas who bristled in anger at the thought of being used like a mere puppet.

The thought of being used was absolutely atrocious!

On a roll, Walburga continued to steamroll Abraxas' loyalty to the dark lord as her husband quietly watched trying not to laugh at Abraxas's slightly confused and mildly offended face.

"He's a dark Lord and he needs money, so what happens when he plays with our desires and lies to us just for money and wealth!", she shouted.

"What happens if he sucked us dry of our wealth?"

"What happens then?", she asked upset.

"He will no longer find use in us and either discard or kill us!", she frantically yelled in worry.

Just as Abraxas was about to say something, he was immediately cut off by a passionate Walburga.

"Abraxas just LISTEN to me!  He's killing innocent children. Children are a blessing! You know how long it takes for pure blood families to have a child, never mind multiple children! A respectable pure blood family, the Bones, were killed off because they refused to join that mad man. They had three children below the age of ten! Don't even get me started on the Prewetts and many other families! There's a reason Dark lords don't last long! What are you going to do if he decides you're not needed anymore and takes your money and wipes out your family?!", Walburga ranted to a still shocked Abraxas who collapsed in a chair.

As he tried to wrap his head around about what she told him, Orion thought it was a good time to reveal himself.

Surprisingly his wife did not flinch or move, unlike Abraxas who slightly jumped at his apperance.

"I see you overheard our argument", said the now sullen and tired blonde.

"yes, I did..", Orion replied sharing a look with his wife who nodded.

"so.. what should we do now?", Abraxas asked as the three adults shared a look.
