I'll try to make this sorta fluffy...

I woke up still in the embrace of Clay. 

It was storming outside pretty heavily, so I knew that school would be cancelled. 

I looked up at him, our faces close together. I press a kiss to his cheek, sighing happily after. 

He didnt wake up, so I began to run my fingers through his soft hair, making it fluff all over the place. 

I studied his relaxed features as I lay beside him.

Soon enough, he groaned, rubbing his eyes and moving his head out of my grasp, making me whine softly. 

I hear him chuckle at my dissapointment. 

"Good morning, Georgie." he says, rubbing his eyes and sitting up. 

I match his movements, sitting up and scooting closer to him, my hands returning to his hair. 

"Be still." I say, styling his hair, my tongue slipping out a little subconsciously in concentration. 

When I'm finished, i allow my hands to slip down from his hair to rest on his cheek, my gaze resting on his. 

We stare at each other for a little, fond smiles dancing on each of our faces. I lean in, kissing him on his cheek again, feeling him lean into my touch and smile larger. 

I rest my head on Clay's shoulder, feeling him pull me closer. 

We begin humming and softly singing 'Say You Won't Let Go', playing with each other's fingers, flitting around the prospect of holding one another's hand. 

I feel warm and fuzzy, happy and calm. 

We sit like that, the room illuminating minimally from the lightning and the thunder playing as an undertone to the symphony of our tranquil love. 

My bedroom door opens tentatively, Eve stepping in fully at a nod from me and running over to the bed, climbing into Clay's lap. 

He hands her his phone, opening YouTube for her and telling her to quietly play a song. 

She plays Juliet by Cavetown, creating an atmosphere so ethereal and yet so real that one couldn't fathom that they would ever experience it. 

I run my hands through the nodding off six-year-old as I lean towards Clay and place a small kiss onto his jawline. 

This was my life right now, and it was perfect.
