The two female Slayers are staring at each other intensely. Today is the day you vow you'll finally beat Kanao in the Reflex training.

"Go, (Y/N) chan!" Tanjiro cheered. You quickly glanced at him and nodded. He hopes you finally complete your Rehabilitation Training so that you go back to training with him.

"Avenge us, (Mispronounced name)!" Inosuke yells.

"If you win, we'll get married at sunset!" Zenitsu exclaimed.

"No you won't!" Kiyo shouted.

"Yes I will! You can't stop me!" Zenitsu argued.

Without turning around, you told Inosuke to handle him. "Yes, Underling!" Inosuke nodded. You heard a sound of someone being punched and then someone collapsing on the floor.

"Begin!" Sumi exclaimed.

Kanao went first to reach for a cup. You allowed her to pick one up as you also picked one of your own. At the same time you blocked each other's cup and then immediately switched to pick up another one. Yet again you blocked each other at the same time. This time a new strategy came to play. Everytime you see Kanao reach for a cup, instead of blocking her, you drag it away from her.

Kanao caught on and began to do the same thing. From behind, you can hear everyone gasping on how fast the two of you are blocking each other. If it weren't for Constant Total Concentration Breathing, you probably wouldn't have lasted an hour with her. Your arms are moving so fast that they look like a whooshing blur to anyone else. Beads of sweat appeared on you after going five minutes like this. A single drop of sweat rolls down Kanao's temple as this continues.

That is until you saw an opening. Now's my chance! You picked up a cup and swiftly splashed water at her.

"(Y/N) wins!" Naho announced.

"She finally won! Hooray!" Sumi cheered.

"We have been avenged!" Inosuke exclaimed.

"I'm so proud of you, (Y/N) chan!" Tanjiro beamed.

You ignored everyone's cheering as you walked over to Kanao. The poor girl looked dazed that she finally lost and was drenched in water. "You okay, Kanao? Here, I got you a towel." You said. She takes the towel and uses it to dry herself. After she uses it, she flips her coin up.

"Congratulations...you finally beat me. I'm proud of you." Kanao praised.

"It's because of all the training you gave me. If you haven't mentioned Constant Breathing, I'd never have caught up to you. So thank you." You smiled.

Kanao nodded and smiled back at you.

"Now that (Y/N) has beaten Kanao in Tag and the Reflex training, all that is left is for Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke to beat her." Kiyo stated.

"Who wants to go next?" Sumi asked.

"I'll go!" Tanjiro volunteers. He and Kanao went over to the middle of the room to play Tag. You and everyone else gather around the corner to watch. The two of them took off running with great speed. Your eyes follow them as they're neck on neck with each other. But Kanao is still slightly faster than him. Every time he reaches out for her, she jumps away from him in time.

This went on for a couple more minutes. Your heart beats in anticipation when you see Tanjiro about to grab her. Just as he reaches for her shoulder, Kanao spins around in time. But he doesn't give up. Focusing on her left hand, Tanjiro takes a deep breath and practically jumps towards her. Your lips widened as you witnessed Tanjiro grabbing Kanao's hand, thus finally capturing her.

"You did it!" You cheered. Tanjiro has finally been able to grab Kanao in the game of Tag. You're so proud of him. Now he's facing her in the Reflex training. You watched as he's able to successfully block her multiple times.

"It's a close game! You can do it!" Naho exclaimed.

Tanjiro blocked her a few more times before grabbing a cup. Your heart begins to pound in excitement seeing Tanjiro about to win. He was about to splash her face when he suddenly remembered what you said to him.

"Kanao is a nice person once you get to know her. If you help her come out of her shell, then you'll also like her." You smiled.

Tanjiro places the cup on top of Kanao's head. She looked stunned at the fact he did that. She didn't even care that she lost, just focusing on the part where she didn't get splash again. Her thoughts got interrupted at the sound of you clapping.

"I knew you can do it, Tanjiro!" You beamed.

"He won!" Sumi exclaimed.

"Does that count as winning?" Kiyo questions while smiling.

"Either way, it's the same thing." Naho said.

Kanao blinks a couple of times as she watches you, Tanjiro, and the Butterfly girls celebrate Tanjiro's victory. Behind everyone is Inosuke and Zenitsu watching in jealousy. "Oh crap!" They panicked.

"Hey!" You suddenly shouted. Both boys jumped up to see you pointing at them. You looked at them sternly before pointing at Kanao. "If you want to reach our level, then you're gonna have to beat her!" You stated.

"Watch me!" Inosuke shouted. He sits in front of Kanao and reaches for a cup. Kanao immediately blocks him and splashes tea on him. "Damn you! One day I'll rip your breasts off!" Inosuke raged.

You facepalm as you hear Inosuke losing his cool and threatens to rip Kanao's breasts. Seriously, what's with Peppa pig threatening to rip a girl's titties out?

It is now the next day and everyone's watched as Tanjiro and Kanao go another round in the Reflex training. It was neck and neck, until Kanao got the upper hand. She was about to splash Tanjiro when Aoi cut her off. "That's it!" Aoi announced.

"You sure are fast." Tanjiro pants. He's thankful to Aoi for stopping Kanao from getting him wet again.

"Your record is now ten wins and ten losses. Though (Y/N)'s record is still better than yours with twelve wins and eight losses." Aoi stated.

"I'm not done yet. I'm going for a run." Tanjiro replied.

"I'll join you!" You piped up. You turned around to face the lazy ass hats. "Are you two coming?" You asked.

"You mean while you two do Constant Total Concentration Breathing?" Zenitsu asked.

"Yep." Tanjiro nodded. He suddenly slams his palm against Zenitsu's stomach. The Pikachu's body vibrates in pain as he still tries to keep breathing.

"I gotta keep this up the whole time?" Zenitsu groans.

"Uh huh! That includes while you're sleeping." You added.

"Monijro!" Inosuke suddenly exclaimed. He opens up his shirt even more to show that he wants someone to hit him. Zenitsu happily obliges and punches him a couple of times. "That's nothing!" Inosuke shouted.

"You're all brawn and no brains."

"Let's go!" Tanjiro exclaimed. You playfully dragged Inosuke and Zenitsu outside. As you were leaving, Kanao flipped her coin to see if she could join you guys. But the coin landed on heads. She looks sadly at the coin wishing it had landed on tails.

I wish...I wish someone would free me from this coin, Kanao thought.

"It's morning! Wake up!" Matsuemon announced.

"What he said! What he said!" Pedro repeated.

You struggle to keep your eyes awake as you slowly get up. During your month of training and recovery, you got used to waking up at a later time.

"What the heck?" Inosuke groans.

"What's going on?" Zenitsu yawns. You and Tanjiro looked over to the window where your crows are at.

"The casualties of the Mugen Train are increasing. More than 40 are still missing. You are to join Rengoku Kyojuro on site. Head west!" Matsuemon ordered.

Hearing this took away your sleepiness instantly. The Mugen Train arc is happening right now! You need to be prepared for the biggest challenge of your life. You have to save Rengoku no matter the cost.

Pedro flies over to you and lands on your arm and faces Zenitsu. "That's west, you mother fucker piss ant! West!" He squawked.

"Hey! I may not know English, but I can tell when someone insults me!" Zenitsu screeched.

"Calm down, Zenitsu. (Y/N) chan's crow just picked up her phrases she'll randomly say. I'm sure he didn't mean it." Tanjiro said. Wow, (Y/N) chan sure curses like a sailor, he thought.

You gently patted Pedro's head with your finger while having a blank look on your face. Right now you aren't paying attention to the argument between Tanjiro and Inosuke. By tonight you're gonna be fighting the Dream Demon, Enmu. Then later into the night, Akaza is going to appear and fight Rengoku. Then by tomorrow morning Rengoku would be dead. You're not gonna let that happen.

You got up to get ready. With a serious look on your face, you will complete your Constant Total Concentration Breathing. Now you're gonna utilize it in saving Rengoku.

The three Butterfly girls cried as you told them you'll be leaving for a mission tonight. "We'll miss you, (Y/N)!" Kiyo sobs.

"I'll be praying for your safe return!" Sumi cries.

"Please don't go!" Naho wails.

You hugged all three as they continued to cry on your shoulders. During the past month, you view them as your little sisters. "Thank you so much for your support. You took care of me and healed my legs. I am forever grateful for your help." You smiled.

"Wah! We'll be waiting for you!" They cried.

"There, there. I'm not leaving for another couple more hours. There's still one last thing I need to do, remember?" You chuckled.

"Right!"

You patted their heads before going to the garden. You spotted Aoi hanging up some blankets on the clothes hanger. She sees you walking towards her and smiles a bit. "Let me guess, you're here to say goodbye and you're gonna thank me for looking after you?" Aoi asked. This makes you blink a couple of times. "You friend, Tanjiro already beat you to it. There is no need to thank me. I was only doing my job." She said.

"But you went above and beyond for us. You not only healed us, you cleaned up after us. I know it's not easy washing Inosuke's dirty laundry and constantly cooking for three hungry boys. Not to mention I love how seriously you took our recovery training. I am forever indebted to you, Aoi." You thanked.

Her blue eyes widened as a small blush appears on her face. "You and Tanjiro are the only Slayers to go out of their way to express their gratitudes. Lady Shinobu is right, you are one of a kind."

Now it's your turn to blush. "She said that about me? I'm flatter. She really is a golden aura Slayer."

"That reminds me...Here." Aoi pulls out your haori from the laundry and hands it to you. You're surprised to see the left sleeve has been cleanly stitched up. She did a great job at sewing since it looks like it has never been ripped before.

"You stitched it for me? Thank you so much." You bowed. "You have no idea how much time you saved me."

"You better not let my hard work go to waste, okay? I better not see your haori mess up when I see you again." Aoi says.

"Don't worry. The next time I get injured, only my bones will be broken and my haori unharmed."

"That's not what I meant-"

You cut her off by hugging her and then running off. Next is Kanao's turn to say goodbye to. As you're heading towards the patio where she likes to hang out, someone opens the door and steps out. The person doesn't hear you running and you're too fast to stop yourself from crashing into them.

A loud thud is heard when the person lands on the wooden floor and you on top of their chest. Whoever it was you crashed into must be a giant since your entire body didn't hit the floor. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry!" You apologized.

"Are you blind!? Can't you watch where you're going-"

The person suddenly stops himself from yelling at you. You move your head to see who it was you landed on. Your (e/c) eyes widen when you see a purple yukata over a Demon Slayer uniform. Wait a minute... Your eyes slowly trail up the figure's body and you see the familiar scar on his right cheek and his mohawk. Aw crap! I crashed onto Genya!

You immediately got off of him when you saw you landed in a compromise position. "Again...I am so sorry about that! I didn't mean it!" You apologized again. You offer him your hand, but he doesn't take it. Genya gets himself back up and faces away from you.

".... It's fine." He mumbled. With that, he started to walk away. You stood there confused and embarrassed that you bumped into him like that. But what you didn't know is that Genya's entire face is bright pink.

That was weird, but okay...Wait a minute! I just remembered that Genya gets shy around girls after hitting his growth spurt. Aww, he got shy around me? That's so sweet.

"I hope we'll see each other again!" You called out while waving. Genya didn't turn around. In fact he took off running with his heart pounding against his chest.

Hearts are flowing around you as you wiggle around like Zenitsu does every time he sees you. After composing yourself, you left to go find Kanao. You remember in the anime she was sitting on the patio so that's where you went.

"From now on, you'll follow your own heart."

That sounds like Tanjiro. You tiptoed to the entry of the patio and you saw Tanjiro waving goodbye to Kanao. The flower girl's eyes shined brightly after hearing that. Looks like you missed the romantic movement where Tanjiro clasps her hand. Seeing her eyes now fully lighten up brings your mood down a bit. Deep down you wish it was you that restored her emotions and you wish that Tanjiro focuses all of his attention solely on you. But at least this is how it's supposed to go. It's for the best. Tanjiro and Kanao are supposed to end up together. I'm just here for the ride.

"(Y/N)?" Your head perks up at the sound of your name. Kanao is staring at you with concern. She still has her coin in her hand thinking about flipping to or not. "Are you...are you..." Kanao couldn't finish her sentence. She so badly wants to flip her coin, but she just promises Tanjiro she'll follow her heart. But she doesn't feel ready yet.

"Hey Kanao, I just wanted to say thank you for training me and for helping me improve my swordsmanship." You bowed.

"No need to thank me. I was just following my Master's orders. Though I did enjoy spending time with you." Kanao replied with a smile.

"But still, you went above for me and taught me about Constant Total Concentration Breathing. I really enjoy spending time with you. Especially when we spar and dance together. I'm really glad to have you as a friend, Kanao."

"Me too. I'm also glad to have a great friend like you."

Your smile widens and you reach out to hug her. She softly gasped as her eyes widened a bit. Her arms trembled when she returned the embrace and then her arms relaxed. This feels nice, Kanao thought.

"I hope to see you again real soon." You said.

"Me too." Kanao nodded.

You waved her goodbye and went on your way to meet Tanjiro and the others. When you get to the area you see everyone is already there. Not to mention there are four huge gourds waiting for you. The four of you lined up to each gourd and took a deep breath.

"Begin!" The Butterfly girls exclaimed.

All four of you blew into the gourds. You can feel your blood cells coursing through your body and ears. You control them all going into your lungs. Come on! I need to remember my training. This is for Hanabi! For Mei! For Leo! For Rengoku!...For me!

"You can do it! You can do it! You can do it!" They chanted. All four of the gourds burst at the same time. You finally succeeded in Constant Total Concentration Breathing. "You did it!" They cheered.

They brought out a basket of rice balls to the Slayers. "Here you go." Kiyo smiled.

"Thank you!" Tanjiro exclaimed. Next to you is Zenitsu holding Inosuke back from eating all the rice balls.

"Don't eat it now." Zenitsu scolded.

"We hope you defeat a lot of demons." They said.

"We'll do our best." Tanjiro replied.

"Don't worry. As long as I'm around no one's dying anytime soon." You wink. I hope I make true to my word. In the corner of your eye, you see Inosuke got his hands on two balls. Then on the other side of your vision, you see Giyu by the entry. You wanted to chat with Giyu, but sadly you don't have a connection with him like Tanjiro does. So you decided to go over to Pikachu and Peppa pig. "Inosuke, drop the rice balls now!" You scolded.

"No! They're mine!" Inosuke shouted.

"I'm not asking. I'm telling you, drop them now!"

"You wanna fight, (Mispronounced name)?"

"Don't lay a finger on my Goddess!" Zenitsu cries out.

"That does it." You frowned. In a split second, you went behind Inosuke and began to tickle his sides.

"What the hell.....haha...are you...ahaha! Stop it!" Inosuke laughs. You continue to tickle him until he drops the rice balls. Zenitsu quickly catches them and puts them back in the basket.

"You guys, take care! Especially you, big sister (Y/N)!" The girls wailed. Your cheeks become pink upon hearing them refer to you as their big sister.

"You guys..." You gasped.

"You're all heartbroken to say goodbye to me, aren't you? I can stay behind if you want!" Zenitsu says.

"Zenitsu, please try to learn to be considerate and respectful to girls, okay?" Kiyo said.

"Okay." Zenitsu nodded.

"And Inosuke, please listen to big sister (Y/N) and Tanjiro." Kiyo added.

"I'm feeling giddy." Inosuke replied, still feeling good after getting tickled.

"(Y/N), come back with a partner!" Kiyo exclaimed.

"Everyone...We're heading out now!" Tanjiro announced.

The four of you waved the girls goodbye and began to head out. You only took a couple of steps when you heard someone running behind you.

All of you turned around and saw Shinobu and Kanao. Shinobu nodded her head towards Kanao and she walked up next to you. You also noticed she has her sword on her hip.

"What's going on?" Tanjiro asked. Kanao suddenly got shy and looked down on the ground. Shinobu walks up to the group and puts her hand on her shoulder.

"Kanao here has decided on joining you guys for this mission." Shinobu reveals.

"What!?" Zenitsu exclaimed in shock.

"That's great!" Tanjiro smiled.

"Tch. I don't care." Inosuke scoffed.

You haven't said anything yet. All you can do is stare at Kanao wide-eyed. What in the world is happening? Kanao was never in the Mugen Train arc. Now that she is, what's going to happen next? Then you remember what Kaguya told you. That someone from his vision would arrive and prevent great tragedies. You being here has already altered the story, albeit minor ones. But Kanao being here is a drastic change. Though you are planning on saving Rengoku, it is a huge alteration waiting to happen. Yes, this is great.
