Takemichi's Pov

I need to know if Baji will stay in Valhalla or will we manage to bring him back to Toman. There're too many questions and not enough answers, so I need to go back into the future and get some.

*******

I woke up on a comfortable bed. Where the hell am I? I looked around to the room, but nothing seemed familiar to me. It looked like I was in a penthouse or maybe a hotel?

"Ah! You're awake."

I turn my head and see a woman that I didn't recognize, but she seemed familiar? She left a tray of food on the nightstand next to me.

"I called up room service, but you were still asleep. Hey, I'm going to take a shower, then we can go out on out on our date later. I still have some business to take care of before we do."

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? DATE? WHAT HAPPENED TO HINA? I NEED TO CALL NAOTO!

I go on my phone and scroll for what felt like HOURS and nothing. I don't recognize anyone's number in my phone? I scroll then I find Y/N's number. FINALLY, SOMEONE I KNOW! I tapped the contact and called. I suddenly hear a ringing next to me. I slowly look beside me and see a phone ringing on the nightstand. The caller's name read (enter cute couple name) with hearts.

WAIT, WAS THAT Y/N! I think to myself, remembering the girl I was just talking to a couple of seconds ago. I hung up the call quickly, so she didn't hear it.

Shit, she has a password. Maybe she has Naoto or someone in her contacts that I might recognize. I try to think of different things it could be but nothing. One more time and I'm screwed. Think Takemichi think! WAIT, HER SISTER! I typed out her sister's name, but I couldn't complete it before being caught.

"Oh, did you need my phone for something?"

CRAP! "Oh, yeah, my phone died, and I needed to call someone."

"The password is 25683," Y/N said.

Well, I would have gotten that wrong. I opened her phone and searched till I found Naoto's name.

"How come she has his number, but I don't?" I said in a low whisper.

"I work closely with him, but we don't talk much outside of work," Y/N replied.

DID SHE HEAR ME? I watched her leave the room, and I took that as a chance to call Naoto with some privacy.

"Y/N, I don't have any new information from the last time you called, which was THREE HOURS AGO!" Naoto said in frustration. What was he talking about?

"Uh, Naoto?" I said; as soon as Naoto heard my voice, his demeanor changed.

"Oh, Takemichi!"

"Naoto, what the hell is going on?"

"There's too much to explain over the phone. Pass by my office, and I'll catch you up to speed."

"Alright, I'll be there in 10 minutes." I hung up the phone and went downstairs. I leave Y/N's phone on the kitchen counter and go to open the door.

"Hey, where do you think you're going?" Y/N said, raising a brow.

"I need to meet up with Naoto. I'll be back soon," I said, not stopping to look up at her.

"Yeah, sure, just let my bodyguards take you," She said. I could tell she was a bit disappointed I was leaving.

Bodyguards? "I don't think that'll be necessary," I said nervously chuckled, but she grabbed my hand and insisted on it, so I just went with them. She kissed me on the cheek, which shocked me, and then I was on my way.

I finally reached Naoto's office, I went inside, and the bodyguards stayed at the front door.

"Naoto!"

"Ah, Takemichi, you're here great," Naoto said, walking over to his desk. "Let me catch you at to speed, I was compiling big events that happened in the past 12 years, and this one stuck out the most," Naoto handed me a packet marked October 31, 2005. " I'll give you a quick summary. That day, two casualties cost their lives. Those people were Keisuke Baji and Kazutora Hanemiya. The report doesn't go into great detail, just that someone came forward for the crime, but many speculated it wasn't them; there wasn't enough evidence. Still, they had to put someone behind bars so that the people wouldn't start worrying."

That still doesn't answer anything! "Naoto, can I ask for a favor?"

"Yeah, what is it?"

"I need to talk to Draken about that night. He might know something that isn't in the report."

*********

Draken let out a big sigh when he saw me in the room. "You're back again, Takemichi?"

"I'm sorry to keep bugging you like this," I replied.

"Why didn't you leave Tokyo like I said," Draken stated, looking at me behind the glass wall that separated prisoners and visitors. I hated seeing Draken like this, but there is no point dwelling on it; it won't change anything. So to get Draken out of here, I need to fix the past.

"I need to ask you something. Do you remember the gang they call Valhalla? They had a leader no one knew, right?"

"Yeah," Draken responded in sadness.

"And their leader was Kisaki, wasn't it," I said, looking for confirmation.

"No, it wasn't," Draken replied.

"Huh?" If it wasn't Kisaki, then who was it?

"The guy who led Valhalla was Mikey."

My mouth instinctively let out a gasp.

"Valhalla was put together specifically for Mikey," Draken said.

"There's no way! Impossible! Mikey is the leader of Toman that would make Valhalla his sworn enemy!"

"Impossible?" Draken questioned, "how could you've forgotten that day?"

What's he talking about? Is he saying that I was actually there?

"It all happened twelve years ago on October 31, The Blood Halloween. Toman was taken over by Valhalla, and it was reformed with Valhalla as its parent organization. That's the current Toman.

Bloody Halloween? "Does that mean? On the day of the big battle between Toman and Valhalla,"

"Yes, that was the first time Toman ever lost a fight," Draken said.

"WHAT! Toman's going to lose that fight! How could that be when they have the invincible Mikey!"

"Ugh," Draken grunted in frustration, remembering that day, "Mikey was the very reason that Toman lost that fight."

"Huh," I said, shaking at the thought that Mikey, the most powerful person I knew, lost a fight. "They lost because of him, no way," I said in defeat.

"Even now, I wonder why I didn't realize it at the time, the heavy cross that he carried with him all the time. Even though he was just a fifteen-year-old kid," Draken said, trying not to cry about his old life with his old friends and all the things he could have done for it to not end up like this.

"That day, Mikey went after Kazutora and killed him. Mikey was never charged for it because Kisaki had set up someone to take the fall for him. After that, Mikey fell into darkness, and Toman was taken over by Valhalla. That's when it expanded into an organization, Mikey as the commander and Kisaki as the acting commander. Looking back at it now, the reason Kisaki joined Toman was probably because of Mikey, to begin with."

"Woah, wait, you can't be serious," I said, still trying to wrap my head around it all. "I could never believe Mikey would kill Kazutora," I banged my fist on the glass wall in front of me in anger, "there's no way, I know Mikey, and he'd never kill anyone."

"Can you say that for certain that if you'd of been in Mikey's position, you wouldn't have killed Kazutora yourself? The guy who had murdered your older brother? And on that day, Baji was killed too right in front of him. If I'm being honest, if Mikey hadn't done it, Y/N would have."

"Huh?"

"Y/N was there in the battle of The Bloody Halloween. She witnessed everything and tried to kill Kazutora, but Mikey ripped her off him and did it himself. When she tried to push Mikey off, he shoved her back each time, and each time they would both be more and more frustrated, to the point that Mikey grabbed her and said, 'if you do that again, I'll kill you. She would have kept on going, but Chifuyu held her back, telling her, 'this isn't what Baji would want.' I remember her screams echoing so loudly. Baji was the closest person to her. After that, she left the gangs and disappeared, and till a couple of years ago I heard. She tried killing Mikey herself; from what I've heard, she was in a state of insanity, I don't know what happened to her in that period that made her act so manic, but I guess that it had to do with Kisaki."

"WAIT! Y/N TRIED TO KILL MIKEY? WHY?" I yelled, demanding an answer.

"I can only get some much information inside here," He said, referring to himself being locked up.

How the hell could this have happened.

*******

Naoto and I walked outside of the facility. I couldn't say a word, but I managed to spit one out.

"The Mikey I know would have never killed anyone! I know this; I believe in him! But when Draken talked to me, I could see what he talked about. I kept getting glimpses of images in my head. I have no idea why I'm seeing these things, but my head of filling up with memories I shouldn't even have. Baji's body on the ground, Kazutora on the ground, Mikey covered in blood, and Y/N screaming and crying on the ground. I have no idea if these images are even real! But after seeing the devastated look on Mikey's face, I know that I have to save Mikey!" Tears are run down my face hitting the ground as my head goes blank.

"Oh, Takemichi," Naoto says with pity that his poor friend is going through all this torture.

We head back to Naoto's office after that.

"The battle on Bloody Halloween resulted in Toman's defeat because Manjiro Sano ended up murdering Kazutora Hanemiya. We think Tetta Kisaki was behind it all. Mikey was the one who killed Kazutora because he was really close with," Naoto paused.

"With Baji," I answered, "and Baji was killed by Kazutora, so I have to save Baji! Then Mikey won't make this huge mistake!"

"And we'll be able to short circuit Kisaki's plot. Protect Keisuke Baji; that's your new mission Takemichi."

"Right!"

Naoto let out a sigh, "first Draken, now this guy. I guess this is how it's going to be for us."

"Yeah, but we'll get this done in no time," I said with a smile, trying to stay positive.

Naoto smiles, "you say that like it's going to be easy, I think this one is doing to be different."

I tilt my head in confusion.

"Forget it. Just try your best," Naoto said, reaching out his hand.

Just as I was about to shake it, I heard my phone ring, and when I checked who it was, Y/N's name popped up. I answered the phone out of instinct. "Uh? Hello?"

"Takemichi, where are you? If you're any later, we'll miss the reservation." She said.

"Uh, I-"

"Don't tell me you're going to cancel or be late again! This is the fifth time in a row! I knew this would happen. That's why my bodyguard will escort you here."

"Wait, what!"

Naoto looked at me with confusion. Just as he did, a bodyguard came in and threw me over their shoulder.

"W- WAIT! NAOTO!" I yelled, but Naoto just said to come back later since there wasn't much he could do.

*******

We drove a while before reaching a street with shops on every corner with yellow string lights connecting each store. It was a beautiful sight, like something out of a movie.

"Get out." One of the bodyguards said as they stopped the car.

"Huh?" I couldn't comprehend what he said before they threw me out of the car and drove off. Ow my ass, I thought, rubbing it.

"I knew they wouldn't disappoint," Y/N said, grasping her hands together in contempt. "Oh, here, let me help you," she said, extending her hand.

"Ah, thanks, Y/N."

"Here this is for you," she extended a small black box with a red ribbon, tieing it neatly together. It looked pretty expensive.

"Thank you, but you didn't have to get me anything. I didn't even get you anything," I said, rubbing my neck.

"Oh hush, don't be humble, and you did give me something, your time. Anyways! Open your gift!"

I untied the bow on the black box and opened it to see what was inside. It was a gold bracelet. IS THAT REAL?!

"Turn it around," Y/N said. Written inside the bracelet, it said, 'Since we can't go back in time, we have to appreciate our present.'

"Do you like it?" Y/N asked.

"Yes, I love it," I replied.

"I'm glad." She paused for a second, so I turned to her, "listen, Takemichi, you need to stop digging on who killed Hinata."

Her words hit me like a train. I didn't expect her to say that. "What are you talking about! What do you mean!" I couldn't help but yell that out.

"Look, I know you loved-" she pauses abruptly and bites her like as if we doesn't want to say the next part, "I know you love her, but you're going to get yourself killed if you keep on going like this!" She said, grabbing onto me, "and don't say it jealousy or whatever you always tell me because it's not; I care about you, Takemichi! I know I can't measure up to her, but please just this once listen to me."

"Calm down, Y/N!" She was practically freaking out, but from what? Does it have to do with what Naoto and her were talking about?

*Ring ring* Y/N pulls out her phone and looks at the collar ID. "Sorry, I have to take this," she walks just a couple of feet away from me. I was still close enough to still hear Y/N's part of the conversation.

"Yes, Naoto? Why does that matter? ARE YOU SERIOUS! Yeah, I'll call them. Are you going to bring in reinforcements? No, I don't carry one on me anymore. If I get caught with something like that, I'll go to jail. I'm already on thin ice with the police. Alright, alright, come here as soon as you can."

What was she talking about? I don't know if I should start panicking or not?

"Takemichi, we have to go," Y/N said in a serious tone, grabbing my hand.

OK, I THINK I SHOULD PANIC NOW! "WHAT'S GOING ON Y/N!"

"After I tried to kill Mikey, people in Toman were not happy about that, so they keep trying to come after me," Y/N said, running with me.

"Why did you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Why did you try to kill Mikey?"

"Because he was the reason Baji died, Kazutora was trying to kill Mikey, but something happened, and he ended up killing Baji instead. GOD, I SHOULD HAVE TRIED HARDER TO BRING BAJI BACK TO TOMAN!"

So let me think. Baji was stabbed by Kazutora, and so Mikey killed Kazutora, and because Mikey was Kazutora's target, but Baji died instead, so Y/N hates Mikey.

"Wait, so why are we running now?"

"Because they're coming after us, we just have to run long enough for Naoto to arrive. My guess is that they've already taken down the bodyguards you came with since they're not answering my distress SOS.

"WHAT!" I yelled.

"Keep your eyes forward and keep on runni-"

I kept running, but I stopped when Y/N suddenly stopped talking and was out of sight.

"Y/N?!" I ran to the alleyway that I saw Y/N get pulled into. It was dark but still visible. I saw five guys and one of them holding Y/N like a hostage. I couldn't move, I couldn't talk, all I could do was stare. What do I do? What do I do!

"GET OFF ME!" Y/N yelled, trying to get away from the person holding her. As soon as the attacker grabbed her wrist behind her, Y/N dropped her body brought her hands in front of her. She did this so fast the attacker did have time to think, so she took that opportunity and moved to the right of him and drove her knee in his abdomen. The man dropped down in pain, but Y/N didn't have a chance to breathe before another guy came running after her. She quickly dodged and gave them a swift kick to the neck, knocking them out. It was now three against one. Y/N pulled out a pocket knife and stared at all of them, not breaking eye contact and slowly backing up in my direction.

"If anyone one of you fucker want to try that, I'll kill you," she said.

"Drop the knife, Y/N," a man said behind me. I was going to turn my head when "don't fucking move takemichi," the man said.

CRAP, IS THAT A GUN! I could feel something hard being pressed against my head. Y/N turned around to face the person and me behind me. For just a second, I could see a look of worry on Y/N's face, but then she reverted to her cold deminer.

"Only if you put the gun down, Kisaki," she said firmly.

"You're not in the position to be barking orders here," Kisaki chuckles behind me. "Oh, and look, you only have a knife. Haven't you heard the saying don't bring a knife to a gunfight?"

"You piece of shit-"

"Ah ah ah, one step forward, and I'll blow his brains out," Kisaki said.

"Fuck," I heard Y/N whisper under her breath. "Fine, I'll drop it," Y/N placed the knife down and put her hands up in surrender. "Happy?"

"Good," Kisaki replied. He pauses for a second "grab her," he said, looking at the men behind her. Just like Kisaki said, they grabbed her, but now more people were holding her and holding her tighter now that they knew what she was capable of. "Grab him too," Kisaki said, and before I knew it, someone was grabbing hold of me.

"You've done a really bad thing Y/N," Kisaki said, walking over to Y/N waving around his gun.

"You're going to have to be more specific," Y/N said, smirking.

Kisaki grabbed her face "you shouldn't be acting like a smartass right now."

"I'm guessing you're talking about your precious Mikey?"

"Attempting to kill a leader of a well-known gang shouldn't come without its consequences."

"Oh yeah, and what are you going to do?"

"Kill you, of course," Kisaki said.

"WHAT! WAIT, LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS!" I screamed.

"There's nothing to talk about," Kisaki replied.

"And like always, Mikey isn't here." Y/N looked around.

"Why would he be here?" Kisaki questioned.

"Well, I thought he would have the balls to look at me in the face and tell me that Baji's death on Bloody Halloween wasn't his fault."

"How dare you talk about him like that," Kisaki said, hitting Y/N with the base of his gun.

"You hit like a bitch," Y/N said, spitting on Kisaki.

Kisaki wiped his face and shot a warning shot at her.

"Y/N, JUST WAIT A LITTLE LONGER. I'M ALMOST THERE!"

What was that? Everyone looked at Y/N.

"That idiot Naoto," Y/N mouthed.

Kisaki walked over to Y/N and grabbed her phone from her pockets. "I don't think you'll be needing a phone when you're dead. "I knew this was too easy" Kisaki looked at the phone for a second before throwing it on the ground and shooting it.

"At least let Takemichi go. He had nothing to do with this," Y/N said with faint desperation in her voice.

"How do I know he won't run off and tell someone?" Kisaki

"Because the person I had on the phone is a cop, and they recorded this whole conversation."

"THEY WHAT!" Kisaki put his hand on his face and grunted "why does everything have to be so complicated."

"Kisaki, no matter how much you plan, I will always be five steps ahead of you," Y/N said with a grin.

Kisaki walks over to Y/N and slaps her across the face "you're going to die a slow and painful death just like Baji."

Something snapped in Y/N when he said that; I could see her eyes go dark. Her sheer presence was so intimidating that my body started shaking on its own.

Y/N managed to rip from the men's hands and lunged onto Kisaki.

"Y/N!" I screamed, trying to rip out of the man's hands but to no avail.

Y/N was on top of Kisaki when he lifted the gun by Y/N managed to push it away.

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, KISAKI!" Y/N said,
