Alex POV:

AT ALEX'S HOUSE

I got up for the day and I got dressed. Then I heard a knock on my door.

"Hey! How's it goin' dude?" Said the person at the door. It was Laurens. What's he doing here? Following behind him was Laff.

"Herc was sick today, so he couldn't come." Laff said.

"But me and Laff did!" Laurens said, as he grinned.

"What are you guys... doing here?" I asked questioningly. Laurens' face went from happy to disappointed in an instant.

"You... don't want us here? If you don't... I guess that's fine." Laurens sighed. He looked hurt. So did Laff.

"No! No. You can stay!" I hurriedly said. Please don't leave.

"Really? Thank you!" they both exclaimed, seeming very happy.

"Come inside." I ushered them in.

AFTER A BIT OF TALKING...

"So, I heard there is going to be a winter ball tomorrow. Any of you guys going? I heard the Schuyler sisters are going to be there." I stated.

"No way! It must be quite a fancy ball." Laurens said, surprised.

"Must be. Almost everyone in New York is going. I heard the three of them are looking for husbands..." Lafayette told us.

"Well then I'll be there!" I declared. Laff and Laurens nodded in strong agreement. The squad was going to be there.
