They are 16 years old, and in Grade 11

Bingo's POV

What have I done? Lila just found out that her dad moved to England, and that her parents divorced, and I chose THAT moment to tell her that I liked her. What an idiot.

With tears falling from my eyes, I open my phone. There were multiple messages from Lila saying she wanted to talk. She'd probably say that she hated me. Still, I wanted to see her. Just not now, I guess.

I heard giggling, and turned around excitedly hoping it was Bingo, but just saw Hsiu-Hsiu heading to her car hand in hand with some guy I've never seen before. I shuddered, knowing exactly what they were going to do...

I checked the time. I have been sitting on this limestone staircase for 3 and a half minutes. I heard some more giggling as Hsiu-Hsiu got into her car, and I moved away, going back to the pathway where Bingo and I were before.

I hugged my knees to my chest, and let myself fall onto the sidewalk. I closed my eyes. I must've looked like a idiot. 

Then, I heard a familiar voice.  

"I leave you alone for 5 minutes, and now you're officially dead?! Seriously?!", the voice laughs. I could recognise that voice from a mile away. 

Lila.

"Come on, sit up! I got you a cupcake! I almost LOST it at Mrs Watts thought, trying to figure out if it was gluten free or not! It is, don't worry!", Lila exclaimed. My eyes widened. She did all that for me?! Even after everything? I ate in silence. It was really awkward. 

"We need to talk...", she said, breaking the silence. 

"I know that-", I tried. But I was interrupted. By Lila. But not by her talking. By her kissing me.

Lila's POV

What the hell did I just DO?! I just kissed Bingo Heeler after she confessed to me! I know it sounded better in my head, but STILL. 

We pull apart, and I start to cry. Why now, hormones?! We hug, but then Bingo lets go quickly. 

"I meant to tell you that I saw a cuckoo wasp in that bush over there! Come see!", she smiled. I smiled back, as she pulled me up from the sidewalk and over to the small bush. 

All I could think was 'What the FLIP would the teachers be thinking, right now?' (There were teachers standing outside the door to watch for assholes)

But I really couldn't care less. Bingo's hand pulling at mine brought me back to the present. 

It was a purple blue, shiny wasp, sitting majestically on the branch. 

"It's beautiful...", Bingo said in awe. I smirked. It's time for more jokes and pick up lines now that we're dating. (I think?!)

"Are you a lightning bug? 'Cause you light up my world...", I smirked as Bingo rolled her eyes so hard I thought they might pop right out of her head. 

I see a secretive smile and pull her back into the gym. It was almost time to go, so I grabbed Fluffy from the corner and went straight into the middle of the room. 

"Woah?! Did something happen with you two?!", Fluffy yelled over the music. I just smiled, and pretended I couldn't hear her. 

I don't really know what my sexuality is yet. Heck, I don't even know if Bingo and I are officially dating! I don't really know if I'm going to go home to my mum after this. I don't really know a lot of things. But what I do know, is that maybe, just maybe, it'll be okay.
