Itsuki stood with a flat face, heading out. "Tsuki," Aizawa called, causing the doctor to turn around-an eyebrow raised, questioning. "If you don't mind...about Emi-"

~

"Emi!"

Emi was walking her way to Aizawa's room as a doctor came running to her. Itsuki. Emi stopped as she noticed. With an eyebrow raised she turned a friendly smile to Itsuki-who's trying to catch his breath as soon as he reached her.

"Am I in trouble?" she asked teasingly as the doctor continue to catch his breath with his hands holding to his knees for support. He took a deep breath then stood straight with a friendly chuckle. "Happy birthday," Itsuki said as he hand her a flower bouquet of soft pink lilies-something she didn't realize he was holding earlier. Emi raised an eyebrow, "Thankyou?" she uttered confused as she reached for the bouquet.

Itsuki chuckled awkwardly. Why did I agree to do this? "You look...horrible," Emi uttered, "Not in a bad way though." Itsuki raised an eyebrow, confused. Not even with his quirk he can understand what she meant. "Horrible in a good way," he nodded, grinning, "I totally get that."

Emi grinned. Her hand scratching the back of her neck. She reached a hand to Itsuki's face, touching a bleeding scratch under his right eyes with a thumb to make sure she didn't see that wrong. Itsuki flinched. Emi pulled her hand off immediately knowing she shouldn't have done that, "Sorry, I'm sorry."

Itsuki grinned as he took her thumb to wipe off the blood spots to the inner part of his doctor coat. "It's alright," he uttered, "I didn't realize it there, I suppose that's why everyone was staring at me on the way."

Before Emi get to ask about it, he explained, "There was this drug addict in the ER earlier, attacking everyone, the nurses and almost the patients...so, yeah." Emi nodded as Itsuki continued, "Good thing he collapsed at a point."

"Let me guess," Emi grinned, "you were going all hero-mode." Itsuki chuckled in reply as he scratched the back of his neck.

Emi pulled a pink and white stripped plaster from her pocket with a smiley face in it-just like the ones in her hero costume-some things never change, she thought. She gently stick it to the scratch under Itsuki's eyes without anything said.

"Pink? My favorite color," he uttered sarcastically as he turned a soft smile. Emi squinted her eyes, "Better than nothing." You're right, Shota-san, she's an angel.

"Thankyou," he uttered, heading away, "I should get going, happy birthday once again."

~

Emi pushed the door to Aizawa's room exposing the pale looking man sitting on the bed with full-on breathing equipment. His hand holding a book while his eyes turned to Emi as soon as he heard the door slide. Aizawa turned a soft smile as he noticed the bouquet she's holding, "A day and you're older, how does that make any sense."

"I'd appreciate 'happy birthday' better," she replied, deadpan as she sat on the couch. Aizawa grinned as Emi pouted laid on the couch with her hand crossed as a pillow. "Also, birthdays are just the very day someone's born," he stated, "we age everyday."

"You sure got that right, Einstein," Aizawa grinned then turned his eyes back to the book he's reading.
