Grandpa Stink painstakingly scrubbed the car until it gleamed, but to his dismay, it refused to budge. Jimmy, ever the observant sidekick, quickly spotted the issue: the engine had thrown in the towel.

"Grandpa, the engine's kaput," Jimmy lamented, his voice dripping with disappointment. Grandpa Stink could only nod in sheepish agreement.

"This relic? It's older than dirt! My dad got it as a birthday gift when he was a teenager. It's practically a dinosaur on wheels!" Grandpa Stink declared, resigned to the sad state of his trusty vehicle.

Determined to resurrect his beloved car, Grandpa Stink swapped out the old parts for shiny new ones, the clanging and banging echoing through the garage. Jimmy and Carpenter, the faithful pup, winced at the cacophony.

"Where are the squishy balls?" Grandpa Stink demanded, much to Jimmy's confusion. "Squishy balls? What on earth are those?" Jimmy exclaimed, utterly baffled by Grandpa's request.

Meanwhile, poor Carpenter, neglected in the chaos, devoured a meal of rotten cat food, much to his dismay. He'd eat just about anything, even if it was past its expiration date and tasted like, well, cat.

As Grandpa Stink attempted to start the car, Jimmy and Carpenter rushed over, but their excitement was short-lived as they collided with a table in their haste.

"Ow!" Jimmy yelped, nursing his bruised knee, while Grandpa Stink lamented his car troubles.

Enter Golandro Paris, the neighborhood mechanic with a penchant for vintage rides. Surprised to discover Grandpa Stink's car, Golandro wasted no time in getting to work, despite his slip of the tongue referring to Grandpa as "Dtink."

After some tinkering and a hefty discount, courtesy of Golandro's fond childhood memories of Grandpa Stink, the car was finally ready for a test drive. Though it chugged along at a snail's pace, Grandpa Stink was overjoyed to have his wheels back in action, even if it took a leisurely 15 minutes to reach the end of the street.

Back home, Jimmy diligently tackled his homework, while Carpenter eagerly awaited his dinner, his patience wearing thin after being forgotten yet again.

The next day, Grandpa Stink decided to call the detective department in central London, much to Jimmy's surprise. With a cryptic message about a trip to the city, Grandpa Stink revved up his vintage car, embarking on an adventure that would take them hours to reach, much to Jimmy's dismay.

Arriving at the grandiose building, Jimmy's excitement was palpable, only to be dashed when Grandpa Stink revealed that he used to work there, back when it was a mere two-story building. Though the building was impressive, Jimmy couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment, especially when Grandpa's beat-up car was the only jalopy among a sea of luxury vehicles.
