~Y/n pov~

Asta was accused of being the cause for the destruction of the capital.

And so, we decided to find out more about curses.

That journey brought us to Heart Kingdom.

I didn't end up going but some of the others went and when they came back, they told us everything about the curse and Spade Kingdom.

And so we spent ages training and training and training.

Some of the magic knights went to train in Heart Kingdom but I decided to stay along with Yuno.

It had been a while since I had seen him.

He had become Vice Captain too.

We were heading to Hage. I was sure what happened but Yuno seemed uneasy.

Placing my hand in his, I gave it a reassuring squeeze.

Yuno smiled slightly and pulled me closer.

"This place is always so dull." Bell complained, "We should finally go on a date!"

Yuno gave Bell as annoyed look.

"Hey, don't you agree, Y/n?" Bell landed on my shoulder and poked my cheek.

"Not really."

"You don't want to date me." She pouted, "I won't give up."

"You should." I gave her a blank stare.

She blushed and leant herself against my neck.

I ignored her.

Yuno flew his wind down and we landed in front of the church.

"Yuno, Y/n." Sister Lily called when she spotted us.

We both nodded in greeting.

"Sorry you must be busy. Welcome home." Sister Lily smiled at us.

"That's right! They were super busy." Bell told her.

"We're fine." Yuno shushed Bell, "Did something happen?"

Sister Lily looked reluctant, "Well... why don't you come in first?"

We walked in and followed Sister Lily as she led us to a room.

When we entered, I noticed Father Orsi sat on a chair and in the bed was a man with red hair.

"You're the spitting image of Queen Ciel." The man looked at Yuno with wide eyes.

"Who the heck is this old guy?" Bell asked.

"Apparently, he's from Spade Kingdom." Sister Lily told her.

I noticed Yuno tense slightly but he still had a blank expression, masking his emotions.

I held his hand tighter, my fingers slipping between his.

"I am not your enemy! The Spade Kingdom was originally a peaceful kingdom." The man frowned as he reminisced about the past, "Despite how bitter cold it got, the people lived happily under the rule of the House of Grinberryall... until the Dark Triad appeared, exiled the Grinberryalls, and ruled over the people with fear. Lord Yuno..."

Yuno perked up slightly when he was addressed in a weird way.

"You are our hope. You belong to the House of Grinberryall. Meaning... You are the prince of the Spade Kingdom."

Yuno's eyes widened when he heard the man's last sentence.

"I always knew he was amazing, but he's actually a prince?!" Father Orsi stood up from his chair and made a racket, "This is unbelievable."

"A prince and a commoner deeply in love... but wait... more love interests.. what will happen to the romance blooming between the prince and the commoner." Bell narrated.

I narrowed my eyes at her which made her stop mumbling about whatever nonsense she was saying.

"You have the Wind spirit! Amazing, Prince Yuno."

"Then what about Asta or Y/n?" Father Orsi asked.

"Asta? Y/n?"

"The children that were abandoned in front of this church alongside Yuno."

The red haired man furrowed his brows, "I'm not sure. I just know that Prince Yuno is the Prince of the Spade Kingdom."

"What are you talking about? Even if I was, why would the Prince of the Spade Kingdom be abandoned in Clover Kingdom?" Yuno seemed to have gained back him composition as he tried to figure out if the man was telling the truth.

The man hesitated.

"Let me change the question. Why did you come here?"

"I'm sorry, I should've said earlier. My name is Ralph. I came here to tell you the truth. So with my brethren's thoughts and mana within me, I travelled through the strong magic region to get here. Just as my father did."

The man did a spell which showed us the past.

It showed Yuno as a baby and it was clear that it was Yuno.

They were so happy.

Then the Dark Triad took over.

Luckily, Yuno was saved.

I'm so glad that I met Yuno.

Even if all those horrible things did happen in order to make it possible.

When Yuno and I broke out of the trance he was breathing heavily.

I stepped closer to him and reached my arm out to him.

My arm pulled him into my side as my head gently played with his hair to calm him down.

Yuno placed his head on my shoulder and calmed his breathing as the man continued to talk.

Suddenly, someone started contacting Yuno.

"Vice Captain! Golden Dawn it's..."

The communications were cut off.

Yuno had a panicked look on his face as he quickly ran out.

"We've got to go. Bye!" I called out before running after him.

I quickly stood beside him just before he ran off.

"Let's go." I stated.

Yuno sighed.

I knew he probably wanted me to stay behind but he also knew he wouldn't be able to stop me.

While we travelled, I wrapped Yuno in a comforting hug and soothed his worries.

I knew he needed it.

We were travelling there as fast as we could.

Yuno buried his face into my neck and inhaled a shaky breath.

"It's okay, Yuno. I'm here okay." I spoke softly.

Yuno nodded and remained silent until the got there.

I pulled away from the hug and turned to see the base destroyed.

"Yuno." I nudged him, making him look up.

His eyes widened in shock as he took in the sight.

"We've got to save them." I stayed.

Yuno snapped out of it and nodded, bringing us down to the ground safely.

We did everything we could but it wasn't enough.

Half the members were dead and we just weren't strong enough and almost ended up dead ourselves.

Not to mention... William Vangeance was kidnapped.

A/n I was starting to lose inspiration but I pushed through. I'm unsure of the future of this book as I don't know what's happening with the black clover anime but if there ever is another season I will continue this book. For now, I'll mark it as completed as I am unsure of what is going to happen.
