So many of us know to say,

I love you and I will never leave, let alone betray you.

Or at least that's what I imagine love to be like, but who am I to talk, I don't know crap about love, let alone liking someone.I imagine love as this hard deep strong feeling which is supposed to keep you going in life, but the love I get is light weak and mostly it fades away after a little bit.But what happens when you're desperate to be loved, what if you want someone to hold you and keep you safe for at least one day, one hour?Most of the time you don't get it, and most of the time you never forget the scenarios you imagined would happen at least once.

This story is filled with love and hatred.Attraction and lust.Two different people, they're the same by personality and their status, but they stand on two different sides.

Rue was known as a runaway Queen, someone who couldn't handle the stress of power which she was born with, which she didn't want in the first place.

Makaya was known as plain hate and anger, he was thirsty for power and he wanted all of it, he needed all of it, nothing was enough for him.Makaya was selfish.

Rue lurked around the region in her own steps, giving a helping hand to those who needed and deserved it.Rue was the kind of person who would take care of others before thinking of herself, she would feed any starving animal, or person.

Makaya left marks wherever he went, he was a lover of violence and the fear in other's eyes.Makaya's heart became a heavy stone in his chest, it became a void which couldn't be filled with any kind of power, anger or fear.

One year these two crossed paths by accident.Or maybe it was planned.No one found out, but these two knew the truth.Rue became a spark in Makaya's eyes, a spark in that void.Whenever she would speak or just pass him, he would feel something hit off his rib cage eager to do it many more times.He fell in love with a woman which he never spoke to, she just spoke to him, but even that was through different people and countless notes and letters.

Rue was not afraid of him, but everyone else was.Rue believed and she knew that Makaya did not deserve help, but he needed it.Rue was a mastermind when it came to words, she was a mastermind at making you believe or do anything she wanted you to.And she had a good reason for that, and she had every right for that.

"Makaya, you are not allowed to speak to those men like that.it is foolish, and childish!"Rue said to him as she helped the injured men stand up and lean on trees for support.

"Oh, what will you tell me?I have every right to do what I want," he replied coldly, his heart beating faster as he felt guilty for talking to her like that, but he managed to shrug it off his conscience.

"And I have every right to help them and help you, I have every single right to do what I think is best," she replied to him sweetly, a smile spread on her lips as she stayed calm.

He walked to her, step by step his heart becoming overwhelmed by the seconds passing by as he had a chance to pick her up and kiss her right then and there.But Makaya had no idea that love was involved with his heart and her.He took it as annoyance and hate.

"Listen, I don't want your help, and I most certainly don't need it," he said bitterly as the pupils in his eyes became wider, indicating his attraction for her.

Rue tilted her head slightly and her smile became wider, pressing back the pain.Putting her hand where his heart was a white spark was seen for a second, "Just keep thinking that, but I know that you feel lost and that you want to be guided.Nothing you say will make me go away from someone as ignorant and annoyed as you because I can see into your soul.And honestly, your shadow says a lot about you."

267 years later, being immortal and all, Rue and Makaya crossed paths once more.

This time things are different.

Rue choose the next leader of her kingdom, Shad.She left his sister to follow her destiny, which was unknown to Rue herself, but a part of her trusted what she has heard from other people.

And that brings us to today until the hate that was born in Makaya's heart passed onto Rue's, but that's a story for another time.
