//Narrator//
It's been a little over a week since Peter created his daughter Rili (Oc) with Maxine, by combining his brain patterns with her by filtering out the best of both of them. Rili with her characteristic way of being and being part of each other quickly won the affection of both.
During this time Peter took the opportunity to advance to one of his short-term scientific projects, which was his idea of the Super First Aid Kit but focusing first on the most important element of this, which is the healing spray to quickly heal oneself or others. Since saving the day is not only stopping the villain on duty, but also helping, even if it is a little, the damage caused.
He has also been helping the other heroes at times when called upon in their troubles, either with other heroes or with a particularly annoying supervillain who is threatening the world. At the same time, he still keeps patrolling the streets arresting the occasional thief, murderer, petty villain, etc. At the same time, he goes through the alleys and abandoned places to look for someone who needs his help or if there is someone to stop, but luckily, he found nothing. And finally, he continued to support Michelle with her existential crisis caused by recent events, by telling her his own experiences and understanding how she felt, achieving positive results.
Although she obviously had to deal with Michelle's friends who noticed her friend's change in attitude, so they decided to confront Peter since they thought it was his fault, so Michelle had to interfere to clarify the situation. During all this time the one who was calmer in the discussion was Lady Octopus, either because she is the intelligent one of the group or because of her experience with Peter. In the end everything went well.
But today he decided to go with his Aunt May, since lately because of all the work he has had he has not been able to talk properly with her, and tell her the truth once and for all, since lately he has been very thoughtful about recent events, thinking about how in a moment everything could end in nothing, so he wanted to take this weight off and be one of the few times in his life since he became Spider-Man, that he can be truly honest with her.
He arrives at the house and knocks on the door waiting for Aunt May to open, he waited a few seconds, then knocked again waiting for some answer, but nothing happened, he began to worry and knocked again since he knew that she was home on this day since it was the weekend. Faced with the null response, he decided to enter the house using his copy of the keys to the house, wishing that everything was fine, checking first the living room, then the kitchen and then going to Aunt May's room.
//End of narration//
Peter: Aunt May, Aunt May, are you here??? Aunt May? He was screaming desperately until he saw something that abruptly interrupted him, taking away all his words.
Before Peter he saw the image he never wanted to see since he became Spider-Man and that he fought until the end, with the aim of delaying it as long as possible. What he saw was Aunt May's limp body sprawled out on the bed she once shared with Uncle Ben. She was already pale and with empty eyes reflecting the loss of life, but what most traumatized Peter was the expression with which he left this world. She left with a face that did not reflect any emotion.
Peter: No, no, no, please No, not now please. He approaches Aunt May's corpse crying, begging for some hint of life hoping it's just a bad scare, but it only ends up confirming his fears. I'm sorry, I'm sorry Aunt May, I wasn't here for you, I'm sorry I didn't help you more, I'm sorry I wasn't honest with you, I'm sorry... not to have been more. *He would cry hugging the corpse of his relative, regretting all his mistakes and never having truly compensated for them*.
After a while of crying, Peter gets up, looking around the room trying to see if there was anything suspicious, to know if it was the work of Mysterio or some other villain of his, since it would not be the first time they do something similar to him, but he could not find anything like that, he only found a note that had Aunt May's handwriting which he began to read.
--- Note from Aunt May ---
Hi Peter
I know this is very sudden for you, and I know you're full of questions right now.
So I ask you to calm down for a second and read carefully.
I didn't tell you anything about what was happening to me as I realized that my time to leave was approaching and I didn't want to give you more worries than you had, since all your life I have seen you lost even in your best moments.
Full of fears and doubts.
Full of unfulfilled desires and wounds of the heart.
Full of responsibilities which you never wanted, but still decided to carry.
This always filled me with sadness, knowing that you are a good person who strives to be better every day, and in the end you only receive the worst from everyone.
But this also filled me with pride in you, knowing that despite the pain and difficulty you stayed on the right track, since I don't need to see everything you do to know it since my heart always knew what you did what was necessary for the good of all. And I'm sure that at some point the sun will shine for you too.
I love you son and wish you a better life.
I'll be watching over you from the other side of the rainbow.
Sincerely, May Parker
--- Out of the note ---
Peter at the end of the note felt his heart tighten to the max because the words that his aunt dedicated to him in the note made him feel helpless because he could not hear them directly from her, but also moved because despite everything she believed in him until the end.
Peter: Aunt May thank you for everything, already... I'm not going to let you down.
--- Three-day time jump ---
//Narrator//
Peter began to carry out the death process before the authorities to determine the time and because of his death, to fill out the necessary paperwork. Discovering that she died hours before he arrived home and discovering that she died mainly because of her advanced age and the weight of all the health problems she has accumulated over the last few years. Discovering the latter made Peter feel a little more guilty since part of the health problems he had were due to attacks from his villains where she was involved.
Then he held Aunt May's wake inviting close friends of the family such as MJ and his aunt Anna, JJ, Robbie along with Randy, Betty, Felicia, May's friends from the shelter, even Michelle was present. Although Spider-Man's friends dressed in civilian clothes also attended as they learned of the loss of the arachnid during the confrontations that took place in this short period, since crime does not forgive anything. Each one gave their respective condolences to Peter and dedicate a few words in memory of Aunt May, as she was a great person, kind, responsible, understanding, wise, etc. But when it was Peter's turn, all the guests looked at Peter worriedly wanting to know what words he was going to use.
Peter *Takes a deep breath to calm down*: First of all, thank you very much for being present today, you are really helping me a lot, since one of the two best people I have met in my life has just left, the one who was a great beacon of hope that drove me to move forward and still is since I will continue to move forward as best I can to honor his memory, since it is what she would have wished. Thank you very much for your attention. He would express in each word a pain that reflected a new emptiness in his being.
Everyone present could not help but applaud in support of Peter, because his speech, despite being short, had a lot of meaning and sentimental weight. Which caused everyone to reflect, even if only a little, on the importance of the death of a loved one who represents a father or mother figure.
After Peter's speech. the wake went smoothly including Aunt May's burial, almost looking like the universe wanted to give Peter a moment of respite. Since no one said anything inappropriate, no accident occurred, nothing occurred to disturb the atmosphere. Only what had to happen happened.
--- The next day at the Beyond --- Corporation
Peter was working on his scientific project to try to distract himself with the aim of coping with the pain in the healthiest possible way he could find without having to abandon his responsibilities, because no matter how much he wanted it not to be like that, the world needs him in one way or another regardless of his mood.
Time passed at its own pace in complete silence, until it was interrupted by three people who decided to interfere this moment to talk to Peter about his recent loss.
//End of narration//
Maxine: Peter, we need to talk *She would say calmly, but with a slight hint of concern*.
Peter: Is something wrong Maxine? He responds in the calmest and most neutral way he could, hiding his pain.
Maxine: It's about your recent loss
Rili (Oc): You need help Father
Michelle: One You Deserve
Peter: Calm down girls I'll be fine, I just need a little time.
Maxine: This is different Peter, based on Ben memories this is more important than the other traumas.
Peter: In what sense? *He would ask between confused and curious*.
Michelle: You couldn't help this one.
Rili (Oc): You are not to blame for his death.
Maxine: You achieved what you always wanted, even if you can't see it.
This caught Peter's attention since he did not expect those words at all.
Peter: That I made it? Please explain to me. *He asked kindly wanting to know the answer*.
Maxine: You always wanted to keep your few loved ones safe, especially your dear Aunt May. Which YOU accomplished, she was safe, you kept her long enough that the only thing that took her away from you was the passage of time itself. You did it Peter and you should be proud of it. She would say determined, trusting her words, as she knew it was the truth, the truth Peter needed.
Peter felt his shoulders relax, as if losing an imaginary weight, remembering all the times he saved Aunt May or the city, realizing that Maxine was right. He felt his heart beat normally again and with a heat he hadn't felt for a long time.
Peter: Thank you Maxine, that was very kind of you, I didn't expect it.
Maxine: Well, when I heard about the End of Existence, I had plenty of time to reflect on both my actions and my future. And I realized that being alone all the time is not pleasant at all and that a little humanity doesn't hurt anyone.
Michelle: That's why we're here, so that you're no longer alone, so that you have someone at your worst moments like you do with others.
Rili (Oc): We are to be what you were for so many.
Maxine *She hugs him warmly, something she never did before*: What we mean Peter, is that you have already suffered too much in all these years, it is time for you to receive a little more of the good things in life.
Michelle joins in the hug to comfort Peter, which made him unable to help but shed a tear for the touching situation. Rili unfortunately could not participate in the hug, but at least she was present as emotional support.
Peter: Thank you girls, thank you very much. *He would say in the most sincere way possible his gratitude to the girls*.
The place remained in a comfortable silence for a long time maintaining the group embrace, only ending to start a pleasant conversation to spend a good day.

Notes, clarifications and references
1. Comics and media used for the preparation of this chapter:
· Amazing Spider-Man #388 (1994) - David Michelinie
· Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #1 - Tom Taylor
· Amazing Spider-Man #538 and 545 - J. Michael Straczynski
To make it a little easier for you to know the chronology of Spider-Man 616, I leave you these pages where they are organized in the form of an output.
Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1 (1963–2018)
https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Amazing_Spider-Man_Vol_1
Spider-Man Vol 1 (1990–1998)
https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Spider-Man_Vol_1
2. In this chapter, try to close and continue past plots to generate new ones without being limited by them, obviously maintaining congruence.
3. I tried to give a realistic and meaningful death to Aunt May, because with all the fake deaths she's had in the comics, I decided to make one that really changed the status quo.

News
1. For those who didn't see the posts I made in the conversations section, I deleted my NeoBook account because I didn't like the short time I was there at all, because I'm trying to make a secondary account on Ao3
2. I'm structuring elements to use in the Spider-Man fanfic in ¿?, elements that can be applied in any world or simply be part of the story at any time.
3. Nothing relevant has happened about comics that I can't say without ending up being wrong. In the next chapter I inform you if anything relevant happens. In addition to Peter having sins, for the third time

Farewell and thanks.
Here is chapter 15. This was the hardest one to do because of how emotional it was, my hand wobbled when I wrote Aunt May's death, and I had a hard time doing dialogue that didn't feel out of place.
I thank everyone who has followed me these days, I never expected to have so much support in this story which I only did because watching the current comics and seeing all the negative comments that there were about Spider-Man. A character that he has seen and loved since he was a child. In addition to the fact that there are a lot of Fanfics and What If Comics that do not help at all. From what I told myself, if there are no decent Spider-Man stories today, I'll do one. And here we are.
As always, a vote or comment lets me know if you like the way the story goes.
See you next week.
Bye.
