You are going to meet new people in this and to make sense to my timeline, they are only going to be ten years older than the kids. Just imagine everything makes sense, haha.

2 days later

Today was the first day of training, or it was supposed to be. Morgan had sent everyone a scheduled meeting spot where they would meet the person two was going to teach them how to understand their powers. Morgan hadn't told them anything about who it was or how she knew them but she was, to say the very least nervous.

It occurred to her, what if her parents weren't teaching her how to be a hero because they all couldn't be a team. Who was she kidding? She was over her head annoyed with James, and Nate is too selfish to make improvements to help the team. Which would ultimately end up in them arguing? But maybe if they try, it will all turn out fine. Hopefully.

"Who are we waiting for?" James asked. "Why can't you just tell us who it is?"

"I want it to be a surprise," Morgan replied dryly. James and she were still not considered okay yet. He had been calling Torunn all of the lunch yesterday, she just got a phone and it seems all she uses it for is James. Not that Morgan cared at all. Turns out Torunn and her father will be staying on Earth longer than expected. She was going to be around for a while, along with Valkyre, Carol, and Layla. Speaking of, Sarah brought Layla over to training.

"Sarah you know you weren't supposed to bring anyone," Morgan commented when Sarah arrived. She didn't come with James and apparently it was so she can bring someone.

"Layla has powers through, she can help you guys learn to control them,"

"Why would we take lessons from a ten-year-old?" Nate asked.

"I am actually 11." Layla corrected. "And because I can actually use my powers, I don't need a silly little necklace to help me out."

"To shay." He hit back.

"No need, I already have someone coming to help us," Morgan said looking down at her watch. "They should be here soon."

"They? Wait a minute is it more than one person?"

"Maybe." She smirked. "You guys just have to be more patient." The group rolled their eyes.

The group just groaned and went back to their phones. None of them really knew what they were getting themselves into, all they knew is they wanted to be just like their parents. They wanted to be able to make their parents proud, become something meaningful to the world. They don't know the consequences, of course, they don't, they are being driven by both finding their parents appreciation and their own power.

But how far could that take them?

"You know," Sarah started. "Maybe this is a sign, a sign that what you are all doing is just a bit idiotic. Now I understand that everything James does is idiotic but what about the rest of you?"

"Sarah I thought you were excited for us?" Morgan asked.

"I am. Or rather I was." She said. "It's just in history we are learning about our parents, it's weird but do you guys understand all they have really gone through?"

"We understand," James claimed. "We understand enough to know that they were heroes. They were a sign of hope and..."

"Power," Nate smirked.

"Not everything is about power." A voice rang out, drawing the group out of their conversation.

"Who are you?" James was the first to ask. "All of you." A group of people walked into their line of sight. Three girls, and two guys. All of different in styles, but they looked connected in a way that didn't involve their look.

"My name is Nico." The girl who spoke up earlier said. "These are my friends."

"I'm Karolina,"

"Chase,"

"Molly,"

"Gert,"

"I'm Alex." The last one said. They were all older then the kids, they seemed like they were in the late twenties. "We are the Runaways"

The world that they lived in now seemed almost foreign years ago, none of them could have seen them settling down and becoming a family. Especially not Natasha.

She was currently looking through a photo album containing wedding photos, baby showers, and anything else involving Steve and the kids. She was getting emotional just looking at everything.

"Hey," A soft deep voice said, wrapping their arms around Natasha.

"Hi," she replied leaning back. "What are you doing home? I thought you and Sam were going on a date?"

"Haha very funny."

"Steve it's okay to come out, it's an accepting community we live in now." She smirked.

"I don't think you'd be so accepting considering you'll be missing out on our late nights." He said kissing her neck softly.

"Mm." She smirked. "Yeah I can't give you Sam, besides Maria would be devastated."

"Oh yes, Maria will definitely be the one devastated." He said. "What are you doing," He pulled away and took a seat beside her on one of the stools.

"Just going through some older photos. I was cleaning out my closet and stumbled upon this," She turned the page and saw a photo from their wedding.

"Best day of my life," Steve muttered rubbing his finger over the picture ever so slightly.

"Don't let Sarah hear you say that she'll get jealous."

"Well without this day she would have never happened, so it should be her favorite day too," Natasha laughed at his words. Natasha looked over at him and smiled.

"It's so weird to see how far we've come, I never would have imagined living this life when I was younger. It wasn't even something I could dream of." She said sadly.

"We've all come so far. None of us could have thought that this was going to happen." He said. "We have two wonderful kids, but if I do say so myself, I think that I am the lucky one here,"

"How so?"

"Cause I get to call you my wife." He said smiling at her.

"You are such a little dork,"

"Thanks. But you never answered my question. What's wrong?"

"I don't know how to explain it. But I feel like something bad is going to happen. Something that I can't very well control. I don't know what it is,"

"You worry too much,"

"It's nagging at me, Steve. I can't explain it." She was concerned but she didn't know why.

"Hey look at me," He took her chin to make her look at him. "I love you, and I am going to make sure nothing happens to you. Or our kids. Or anyone we care about. You wanna know why?"

"Why?"

"Because on this day," He tapped the picture, "I promised that we will be together and make each other happy till death do us part."

"I don't think death can pull us away from each other." She laughed. "I love you, I love you so freaking much."

"Not as much as I love you,"

"Don't bother making this a completion Steve, you know I always win."

"Yeah, you do. You win all the time. But I would definitely give you a run for your money." he laughed. Natasha looked into his eyes, and she realized that she loved her family so much but she wanted more. She was still concerned about something but she also concerned about something she did know. Her family. She didn't know what caused her to blurt this out but she did and there was no taking it back.

"I wanna have another baby."

"you got," Nate started. "A bunch of no ones to come here and teach us how to use our powers? No offense," He said looking over at the group.

"Oh, none took. Looking at us you can't really see heroes can you?" Molly asked. "We kinda get that a lot."

"But you are heroes right?" James asked. "If not then we don't really need you here."

"James," Morgan glared. "What's the matter with you?"

"I'm not trying to be rude but there is a lot riding on this actually working out, I don't know about the rest of you but I will be personally murdered if this is all for nothing." He looked over at the Runaways. "And from where I am standing, some basic looking twenty-year-olds are not heroes."

"Let me ask you something," Nikko said. "What does a superhero look like to you? Is there qualification you have to follow if you wanna be a superhero? Does saving the world, not once but twice qualify you to be a superhero? Or do you have to dress in those obnoxious tights or a metal suit."

"That's not what I meant."

"What did you mean then?" Alex asked. "Because none of you look like heroes. Sure your parents are the perfect heroes, but what about you? How can you even begin to think about being a hero?"

"Do any of you know what it means to be a hero?" Chase asked. "What you have to be willing to give up to live a life like this?"

"I don't understand," Nicole said.

"Of course you don't," Karolina said. "None of you do, neither did we."

"But if you don't want our help, there are many people around the world who are in dire need of our assistance," Gert said.

"No," Morgan started. "I called you here for a reason. They are just being stupid, I really want this entire team to work out, so what do you say? Please stay."

"You know, you're quite nice for a teenage Stark, I was expecting someone... more Stark like," Chase said.

"I have no idea what you mean," Morgan said.

"Ignore him, we all do," Alex said. "We are going to help you."

"Because we know what it's like to get power thrust upon them with no sense of how to control it," Molly said. "We can help you."

"What exactly can you guys do?" Willa asked. "Do you have magical powers?"

"You can say that," Nikko said as a dark cloud of smoke appeared around her, Karolina smirked and started to glow, Molly's eyes glowed yellow, and a dinosaur appeared beside Gert.

"None of you seemed even the least bit surprised," Chase said.

"We grew up with our parents as the Avengers, we know gods, nothing really surprises us anymore," Sarah called out. "Can I pet your dinosaur?"

"Sure," Gert nodded and Sarah went over to pet the dinosaur.

"So what's with those two?" Nicole said. "Are they like your team manager? Or are they just here for looks?"

"Chase is an inventor, he makes these cool fist-a-gons and a lot of other wild things. Alex is the brains of the operation, and don't underestimate him, when he gets angry it's scary." Molly said.

"So baby Avengers," Nikko started. "Show us what you got."

Okay so just letting you know, for those who haven't seen runaways, they won't be characters that show up a lot, just mentioned, and they will only be there for training. Basically but just know that it will get real interesting very soon.
