Owen Grady's Perspective

So far, all I know for sure is that Claire doesn't listen to me as she followed me to the dead Apatosaurus, well, almost dead. I wrapped my gun around my shoulder as I approached the head, placing my hand on their head, stroking his scaled skin, silencing him.

Claire touched him too. I can tell from this trip, she really loosened up and saw what it was really like, and really felt what it was like to have family. She wasn't the girl I refused to have a second date with years ago.

As soon as the Apatosaurus died, I stood up, walking over to the hill to see the tons of other Apatosaurus who lie dead.

"It didn't eat them." I observed. "It's killing for sport." I heard Claire gasp. "We need to get back to the kids." I instructed, before we started running back off to the van. Claire called the control center, which soon told us and sent the GPS co-ordinates to where the Gyropshere remained.

We drove past the restricted lines, and saw the four-seated sphere, smashed up, broken and torn apart. The video was still playing, in a taunting manner. I was furious. My niece was in here.

There was a tooth remaining in the structure of the sphere, deciding for a sample, I cut the tooth out. It was sharp, one of the sharpest teeth I have ever seen.

"No, no, no." I heard Claire curse, prodding over to where two phones lay in the ground, cracked.

"Shit." I swore, sawing Jessie's case. I went over next to her, crouching to get Jessie's phone. I looked up from where I crouched and saw their footprints, three pairs. There were pairs of medium size feet, which I recognized as Jessie's. There was a pair of somewhat big feet and small feet. "They made it out." I sighed, in relief and Claire let out the breath she was holding in. I realized now, I had to be brave. This woman who held her emotions in for what seemed like years, is just letting them out. I need to be a rock, an anchor so she won't drown.

We followed each pair, watching for any inconsistencies. One thing I noticed was that the dinosaur tracks were right on their tails. I saw a bit of blood on the way there, unsure to whom it was. Once I saw the dead end, I was angry.

I needed to get rid of this dinosaur.

"Oh my god, they jumped." Claire panted, observing the obvious.

"Brave kids." I sighed. "Jessie's a little too brave to my liking." I always knew how brave Jessie was always the one to push her to the limit, but she was fast. That blood must be hers. She's selfless and brave.

"ZACCHHH!" Claire called, screaming. My eyes widened. That idiot. "GRAYYYYY" I turned around and shushed her. "Hey, I'm not one of your damn animals."

"Listen," I calmed her, remaining eye contacts. Thinking about it, I am treating her like a raptor...but it's working. "Those kids, your nephews and my niece are still alive." I started. "But you and I will not be if you keep damn screaming, especially like that." I was angry. I just wanted to get my niece back. I begged to keep her here for the winter; she was supposed to be with Harry and my sister.

"So, you can pick up their scent, can't you?" I looked away, rolling my eyes. "Track their footprints?" What the hell was she expecting from me!

"I was with the Navy, not the Navajo." I clarified. She expected way too much from me.

"Then what do we do?" She panicked in place. "What do you suggest we do?"

"You get back." I instructed. "I'll find them. I'm extremely motivated to do so, and right now, you're just slowing me down."

"No, we'll find them!" She persisted. I gave her a deadpan face, with her returning it.

"You last two minutes in here!" I whispered-screamed. "Less in those ridiculous shoes." I motioned towards her stilettos. She started taking off her belt, while her eyes locked on mine. She ripped her buttons of the shirt and revealed a light blue tank top. She tied the ends of her over shirt around her belly and rolled her sleeves up higher before resting her hands on her hips.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I was confused. Jessie never acted like this.

"It means I'm ready to go." She shrugged, as if it was a universal thing to do and know.

"Okay." I gave up. "But, let's keep these things straight. I'm in charge here, you do everything I say, exactly as I say it." I was being bossy, feeling as if we changed places here. But it was my niece out there.

"Excuse me?" She judged.

"Just relax." I calmed her down. "Just like taking a stroll through the woods. 65 million years ago." We headed back to the van, but I noticed a huge print meeting their footprints, leading to the waterfall. Claire seemed to be the most oblivious person to it. I followed anyways.

I swear when Jessie gets out of here, she will be grounded. If Jessie gets kill, I still will ground her.
