Narrator's POV

Water. Earth. Fire. Air.

These are the main elements in the 4 nations they live in. Each element shows a specific strength each nation bends or lives in. It was separated for so long that other nations would be at war with each other to prove which nation is the best. Until one day, five leaders came together and decided that the separate nations should be one whole one. After so many years, they helped form a city ruled by all of them. It was called Opal City.

Opal City was one of the most peaceful places to be in, and it was ruled under the Element King. And what is surprising is that he is a non bender. But he has kept the peace for all elements. He also made a council of each of the elements that shows agility, strength, smarts, and focus to help this city get better. With the king and the council, nothing can stand in their way.

Each member of the council is a royal member of the 4 nations. The king never saw his council as his council. He saw them as his bestest friends, and the same goes with the council with the king. All the royals will risk everything for the safety of others.

Until one night, they found the Element King dead. No one knew how he died, but they were all deeply sadden of the tragedy. Since the funeral, the council has been non-stop fighting to see who can rule next.

But the main two that were fighting were The Water Chief and The Fire King. They both fought to get the throne and the council split apart because of it. Temporary, the Element King brother, Caleb, took the throne until they found someone suitable. But he made new laws to help make the city more "normal." He also created the Battle of the Elements for his entertainment. The winner gets to stay at the palace, but every time, when the winner comes, they either come back different or never come back.

It's a mystery. Everyone wants to know what happened to them, but all they could think about is the prize money and another reward, a chance to get the throne.

The competitors have to be 17 years old in order to compete. Unfortunately, both the Water Chief and the Fire King children are eligible to compete. They both want their children to compete in order to see who is eligible for the throne. To prove once and for all who is the better bender. The better element. All of the council members' children are eligible to compete. But only one can win.

Julie Molina, daughter of the Water Chief, Ray Molina, was the princess of The Water clan. She was skilled, smart, and one of the most beautiful girls in her clan. She is the older sister of Carlos Molina and the eldest daughter of Ray and Rose Molina.

Rose and Julie had the most special connection. They both shared their love of music and amazing skill of waterbending. They always make time to perform for everyone in the clan. But then, Rose was sick. All of the healers tried to heal her, but no one was able to heal her. In the meantime, Julie would always stay next to her and sing to her until she fell asleep.

Til one day, Rose died. The only thing that Julie has from her mother was her necklace, which her father gave to her mother when he asked her to marry him. To Julie, it was the most priceless thing she had. Ever since her death, Julie has been nonstop training. She wanted to busy herself, wanting to forget that her mother's death. Luckily, she had her friends to help her through it. But she still wants to be free from the burdens and be her old self again.

Luke Patterson, son of the Fire King, Mitchell Patterson, was the prince of the Fire clan. He was strong, athletic, and dropped dead gorgeous. He was the only child to Mitchell and Emily Patterson.

As the prince of the Fire King, he has to set an expectation for his clan. He has done nothing more but train, train, and train. But every time when he trains and gets better, his father always asks him to train more. His mother, on the other hand, wants her son to rest. Both Luke and his mother also share another connection, but it has been rocky ever since his father demands him to train.

What his parents don't know is that he goes to a club where he can perform his music with his burn called Sunset Curve under an alias with his other band mates. It was the only place where he could be free from those expectations.

Both Luke and Julie both want to be free of who they want to be. And they both want their dads to get off their backs. But everything will be put into place soon.

What's the worst that could happen?
