Itami:"Alright, load up! We're heading back."

The Third Recon team started to mount their vehicles to return back to base. Before they could, Vega mentioned word of a living being at a well.

Vega:"Wait, I'm detecting another life form near us. At the bottom of that well."

Kurokawa:"Really!? We mustn't waste a second, there could be someone down there in need of help."

Itami:"Alright, Pops! Give me a hand over here!"

Kuwahara:"Roger!"

Itami, Kuwahara, Kurata, and Kurokawa all went to investigate Vega's findings. The Slayer went over with them to see who or what it was.

A few elves managed to escape when he came to the rescue but a vast majority weren't so fortunate. Perhaps there was one unlucky soul that fell in to get away from the dragon.

As Vega said, Itami peeked into the well and found an unconcious female elf. He ordered for a bundle of rope so he could rappel in.

Vega:"It would be far faster for you to go in and retrieve the elf." He voiced his opinion. The Slayer scoffed but knew he was right. He jumped in without hesitation nearly scaring everyone around the well.

Itami:"What the hell!?"

Kurata:"Can he even get out?" To his surprise, he jumped back out making him fall to his ass.

*THUD!*

Vega:"This elf will need medical attention as she is currently unconcious. She's in need of clothing as well."

Itamit:"Kurokawa!"

Kurokawa:"On it! Please bring her to the back of the vehicle! I'll treat her once she's inside."

The Doom Slayer followed her while the team loaded up. Their intention of bringing him back to their base wasn't forgotten by Itami.

Itami:'Hoh boy, hopefully they don't make this too much than it has to be.'

Piña:"So that's why we need your help, you are the only one who can speak to the Doom Slayer. We wish to know why he helped the enemy."

Tyuule:"Princess Piña, although we have an agreement between our two nations, I wouldn't be so inclined to help. The Slayer is his own person therefore I really don't have a say in what he does."

Piña:"I understand that but don't you love the man!?"

Tyuule:"That's-!"

Piña:"All I am asking is if you could get ahold of him somehow. Ask why he joins with the enemy. We do not wish to bring him harm....nor waste the lives of Imperial troops."

Tyuule:"What do you mean?"

Piña:"My father and I know full well what he is capable after hearing those reports of the failed attacks on your tribe. A single man holding the power of the Gods within his hands. Please, for everyone involved, help us prevent unnecessary bloodshed."

Rory:"It's best if you did listen to the Empire's request this one time."

Piña:"Not for the Empire but behalf of a daughter wanting to protect her father!"

Tyuule:"I see, I will do my best to find the Slayer. When I do, I will let you know, Princess."

Piña:"Thank you! Then we will be on our way."

Princess Piña and her entourage, successful in their quest, all got ready to leave the Warrior Bunny Tribe. Tyuule was concerned on what will happen next.

Rory:"If you want, I can go by myself to reach him."

Tyuule:"Didn't he ask you to stay for protection?"

Rory:"He did but! I'm an apostle before a bodyguard. There's a massive war heating up and it's my job to reap the dead."

Tyuule:"If you wish, Your Holiness. It is your decision to make, I cannot make an apostle stay anyhow."

Rory:"Hmm, you know, I'm curious."

Tyuule:"Of what?"

Rory:"To see someone of your stature blushing over such a man."

Tyuule:"W-w-what of it!? A maiden such as myself can't have feelings for a man?"

Rory:"Oh no, I was wanting to tease you is all."

Rory:"Anyway! I'll be off now."

Tyuule:"Good luck and be safe, Your Holiness." She bowed her head.

Yanagida:"You weren't joking."

Itami:"You thought I would lie?"

Yanagida met the Third Recon Team at the entrance of the newly built base on Alnus Hill.

Whilst en route to the base, Itami filled in Yanagida on the most recent events. Curiosity got the better of him when Itami mentioned the game character "Doom Slayer". Thinking he was joking, he went to confirm his suspicions.

Yanagida:"What will we tell the General now?"

Itami:"He's old though, I'm sure he doesn't even know what we are talking about."

Yanagida:"You're right for once, bring him with us so the General can meet him. There's no way we can keep this under the rug."

Itami:"Could you follow us, Mr.Slayer?"

Vega:"Understood."

A few minutes later...

General Hazama:"Why yes I know of the games. My grandson plays them, I bought him those."

Itami:"S-sir!?"

Hazama:"Anyway, enough of that. To be actually seeing the real life Doom Slayer is something I never thought would happen."

Vega:"I'm sorry to ask this, General, but could you elaborate on these "video games?"

Itami:"I'm sure he doesn't know much but the newest one that came out was where players could control the Slayer and fight against the Khan Makyr." He explained. Vega was shocked upon learning the information as the Slayer fought the Makyr not that long ago.

Vega:"Interesting, was there also anything else that was mention in them? Such as which planets, what forces, and what role the Slayer played."

The three Japanese men all looked at each other, curious as to where the conversation was heading.

Yanagida:"Well, yes, as a matter of fact it did. Planets such as Argent D'Nur, Urdak, and Mars. He fought back the invasion of Hell and took it all the way up to the Khan Makyr. That's what was in the game."

Vega:"Very interesting, I'll explain this to the Slayer. Please wait."

While waiting for Vega, they all felt and noticed a shift in the Doom Slayer's behavior. His fists tightened, muscles tensing up, and his head dipping low.

Hazama:"Is he alright?"

Vega:"I apologize for the wait. He is conflicted with what you explained to us."

Itami:"He's not going to kill us right?"

Vega:"You needn't worry so much as he only kills when it's deemed necessary such as if you killed other humans. What you told us was nearly everything that the Doom Slayer has done."

Itami:"You're joking right?"

Vega:"I'm afraid not. The Doom Slayer has brought the fight to Hell itself. Venturing across Argent D'nur and later Urdak. Mars was later reached to find the final Hell Preist."

Yanagida:"Wait, wait, wait. There has to be a mistake. It has to be a coincidence right!?"

Hazama:"Enough! Right now we're troubling him by bringing this up so let's not continue any further. We have far more pressing matters to attend to. Itami!"

Itami:"Y-yes sir!"

Hazama:"It's your job now to take care of those refugees you've brought here. All of those elves you brought in from that dragon attack also, understood?"

Itami:"Yes sir! Actually sir, Lelei was wondering what we were going to do with those Wyverns we shot down."

Hazama:"Get rid of them, I don't care what they do with them. They're nothing but a nuisance at this point."

Itami:"Thank you sir, I'll make sure to let them know!"

Hazama:"Great, you two are dismissed. I wish to have a word with Vega." Itami and Yanagida both left the room to continue their day. General Hazama sat down while the Slayer stood.

Hazama:"So, I've been meaning to ask but how did you arrive to this world? Was it the Gate?"

Vega:"No, it was through an energy portal that appeared during one of the Slayer's battles. These energy portals are starting to become frequent as there are more Demons seeping in."

Hazama:"And these Demons, are we able to fight back?"

Vega:"...No you cannot. The Earth in our Universe wielded far better equipment and technology, yet, it was not enough to stop the forces of Hell."

Hazama:"I see, so there's nothing we can do to stop the invasion if it happened on Earth?"

Vega:"Unfortunately, no. Yet the Slayer will make sure your Earth shall not fall. How much do you know of the Dark Lord? Given how much you and your men know."

Hazama:"Dark Lord? I don't know much of what you're talking about in all honesty. I only bought the video games for my grandson like I said. You might have a better chance getting that answer from Itami."

Vega:"Very well, thank you. We will be 'crashing' here, so to speak if you do not mind."

Hazama:"Of course not, you helped my men and saved them from that Dragon, thank you." Hazama got up from behind his desk and bowed in appreciation.

"Anytime."

He quickly lifted his head after hearing the Doom Slayer's voice. Watching the giant man leave, Hazama plopped back down after facing such a man.

Hazama:'Goodness, what a dangerous feeling I get from him.'
