Playing with a stuffed teddy bear that Emmett had gotten for Salem specifically as Sage got her own teddy bear of a lighter brown with a purple bow and a tag attached to each of the bears with each baby twin's initials.

Salem lays on his stomach watching as his teddy bear moves around in his mother's hold. Squealing as his teddy bear attacked him.

Esme smiles softly sitting by the window hearing Salem scream with his own enjoyment. Never flinching as a bird smacks into the window, she only ever frowned as she looked out. "Poor bird." She mumbles.

Hearing the sudden loud noise Salem began to cry, loudly, scooping him up in her arms, Rosalice began bouncing him, rubbing his back. "Everything's okay," She assures. "It was just a..." Blue eyes catching sight of the different types of birds. Starlings. She began counting. One. Two. Seven. Fourteen. Forty-nine. Forty-nine birds all huddled up against one another in their own groups. A group of seven to be exact.

Taking a step back, Rosalice recalled the poem she always used.

One for Sorrow
Two for Mirth
Three for Birth
Four for a Funeral
Five for Wealth
Six for Heaven
And Seven for the devil himself

Seven birds. Seven groups.

Rosalice moves frantically grabbing a hold of her phone. Dialing Elijah's phone number calling him. Placing it on speaker phone she listens to the rings, hearing it as they echo silenced by Salem's cries as the newly mother calms herself and her baby.

Within the third ring, the phone picks up, with a greeting, "What happened?" Hearing his voice somewhat helped soothe her mind and had it stop screaming for him.

"Nothing." Rosalice answers. "I might be overthinking this." She bites her lip. "But there's forty-nine starlings outside of my home." She frowns. "Which is unusual because I'm in Alaska- this isn't normal. Elijah tell me I'm right."

"Sadly you are." He sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Rebekah had the same incident." He clenches his jaw. "I need you to leave there, get away from the birds."

"Which witch did you piss off?" Rosalice continued standing there even as everyone listened into this phone call.

"We didn't piss off anyone." Elijah says. Rosalice deadpans, raising an eyebrow forgetting entirely that he wasn't in front of her. "This is my mother's doing." He said. "Call Rebekah, she'll tell you where to go." He orders. "If you see anything magic related-"

"Run, I know." Rosalice grabs her phone moving to the nursery, readying herself to pack. "I've been running my entire life Elijah... I know how to disappear."

"Now that I don't doubt," Elijah smirks. "I... stay safe." He clears his throat.

"The same applies to you as well."

"Well... I don't drive like a maniac." He tries to joke to keep himself sane at the moment but truth be told his mind seems to clear just a little.

"I don't." Rosalice places Salem with his sister grabbing the baby bag and shoving a bunch of their clothes in it as well as supplies. "I drive like anyone."

Elijah shakes his head, "You drive seventy an hour when the speed limit is thirty." He leans against the wall, closing his eyes as he hears things being moved, clothes ruffling against a bag. "Drive slow and cautious. You have precious cargo."

Rosalice softly tells him, "I'll abide by the laws, for them." Assuring words only could do so much. Zipping up the baby bag. "I'll call Bex and we'll take it from there." Silence filled the call, the two unable to say three words and only three words. Three words that weighed more than anything. A simple word that they've heard thousands of people say towards one another and couldn't seem to say it to each other at this very moment. "I...'ll see you, hopefully soon."

"See you soon."

Hanging up the phone, Rosalice grabs a hold of Salem, lifting her head toward the doorway she sees Alice with a suitcase waiting for her. Smiling sadly, "Don't get caught." Alice warns.

Rosalice smirks a little as she states, "I can turn invisible aunt Alice, I think I won't be caught by his mother." Alice moves into the room grabbing a hold of Sage the two heading out to the garage.

Placing the two into their car seats. Rosalice shuts the car door ready to leave. Her eyes caught her family that stood there waiting for a goodbye. It seemed just like yesterday where she was saying goodbye to them.

Hugging each and every individual family member with a few exceptional, bidding them a goodbye.

Eleazer bows a little instead of giving a hug, telling her, "Stay safe, and if anyone tries anything, do your best to make them wish they didn't." Rosalice smiles and nods.

Irina messes with her hands. "If you ever need help, call us."

Rosalice hums out, "Yeah, of course." Turning to the wolf pack, Rosalice frowns when noticing Leah isn't there. "Where is she?"

Jacob and Seth both gave each other a look before giving a sheepish smile. "She just can't say goodbye." Jacob tells her. "You know how hard it is."

Rosalice slowly nods in understanding, the Black tugging Cullen into a hug. "We'll tell you when they're due." He whispers into her ear. "So you don't miss it."

Rosalice softly smiles at the werewolf. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Roaring the car to life, with one lasting look there she was off. Driving down the street, tumbling down to get away from Esther. Running away from her just so her children could get a chance at living before it was stripped away from them.

Heading down the road, Rosalice couldn't help but to think about how this was most of her entire life. Living in a certain area for six, seven years max before picking everything up and starting from scratch. In the beginning Rosalice grew tired of creating friendships only to have them be broken and torn away from her. So she just stopped trying when she got to middle school.

Living a life of lies that circled her family, lies that would always be spoken to the world and no one was allowed to know the truth of them for they weren't natural recurring things to exist in the mortal world.

Rosalice remembered each of those lies that were told in each and every place. All similar to each other. When starting with a clean slate, when her parents and aunts as well as uncles and the pack were high school students everyone was adopted by Carlisle and Esme out of the kindness of their heart. Jasper and Rosalie, both twins, "their" parents having a terrible accident and forced them to be put into foster care living through houses upon houses they land at the Cullen residency and Esme had come to beg Carlisle to adopt them and he agreed.

The three "biological" ones were Edward, Emmett, and Alice all being nephews and a niece to Carlisle only for their lonely mother to fall ill of an incurable sickness and sadly passed when the siblings were only just six, nine, and ten years old.

The Clearwater siblings had one day been playing far away from their neglectful parents on a beach. Left abandoned for days on end with no food or clean water Esme found them cuddled against the clashing of rocks and took them in giving them everything they could possibly ever need.

As for the only Black one, Jacob created his "backstory" as he liked to say it. The Cullen-Hale family disagreed wholeheartedly of his origin story that they plainly made one up on the spot and gave it to him.

Jacob Black father was a Marine Biologist that researched sharks for a living. Taking his son, Jacob, out with him far into sea as the nanny had come to cancel at the last second and he couldn't get a replacement in time. The two share their adoration and love for researching sharks and how they lived. His own father fell deep into the water and tried getting back onto the boat only for the shark to get him, Jacob watching in pure horror and now had an undying hatred of sharks.

Whilst on their private boat the Cullens came across the young fragile shaking boy just on his last leg of surviving, close to death. Carlisle was able to revive and save him, taking him under his wing.

Bella Swan's father had come to be killed in a line of fire and her godparents had adopted her.

As for the youngest two, the twins. Their lies were weaved and threaded throughout the years. During elementary school they were related to Edward, he was their uncle, and foster care had come to take them away from Edward's sister and place them into his care as he was the only living viable option. Middle school the lie twisted to them being Bella's younger sisters. High school, the lie that had come to stay the same throughout the entirety of it the two youngest Cullen's were related to Esme in some form and way, Esme's brother, the twins supposed father dumped them onto her doorstep so she could watch them for a few hours and those few hours had come to turn into days into weeks up until the point where she gained full guardianship over the two.

Rosalice shook her head, she couldn't allow them to live that kind of life. To always pack up everything and leave an area they had come to learn and know as home. She couldn't allow her children to be constantly moving and not have any sort of attachment to any place that they could call home. She wouldn't allow that. Allow lies to circle their family and live with it instead of their true heritage.

Sighing heavily, she relaxes, lessening her grip on the steering wheel. Blinking as she focused on the road ahead she recalled that she hadn't heard any fussing or noise coming from either child. Looking up to her rearview mirror she gasps, swerving a bit.

Gaining control of the car she snaps her head to the backseat, her eyes wide and huge as she takes in the sight of the stowaway. Short black straight hair that only went to her chin, with big beautiful chocolate eyes that managed to convince Rosalice to do anything risky. "You..."

The stowaway only smiles in return, making sure the car ride was quiet, watching over the two. The copper skinned woman slid into the passenger seat. Shrugging her shoulders, "You know they sleep during car rides?"

"I know," Rosalice glares harshly at her passenger. "Why did you hide in my car?"

"I hate saying goodbyes, so I came." She smiles proudly of her actions.

Rosalice shook her head, looking back at the road. She could not believe she was best friends with the white wolf shifter but that was Leah Clearwater, her best friend. The person that did everything risky and lived at the edge of the world ever since Rosalice had turned the age where everyone in the house had begun teasing her about her "emo" phase and fake-pleaded that she wasn't going to turn out like Edward with his brooding. But the two were best friends for longer than that.
