Today, Manny's Dad is taking Manny and I to Disneyland. I didn't know too much about his dad, but I was extremely grateful that he took me as well. I was with Manny in his room, Jay had come up to help fix his ceiling fan. Jay made Manny help him, whilst I got to watch. Occasionally I would have to pass a tool.
"So let's do this" Jay said as Manny opened the instructions.

"Okay, but I need to be done by 3:00." Manny began, looking down st the instructions, "That's when my dad's picking me and Y/N up."

"Hey, if we're not done by 3:00, I'm gonna tie a noose on this thing." Jay said, pointing at the ceiling fan. There was a short silence. The only noise was the turning of the pages on the instruction book. That silence was soon broken by Manny.

"My dads taking us on space mountain. It's supposed to be really fast, but he's not scared of anything." Manny said, looking up form the booklet, "He doesn't even wear a seat belt when he drives."

"He doesn't?" I ask.

"Wow. How 'bout that?" Jay says. I could tell Jay wasn't interested. Manny continued to talk about his dad. He sounded great, but I couldn't help but think it was all lies. "Read me the instructions." Jay said to Manny.

"'Safety tips." Manny began, "Warning: to reduce the risk of electrical shock'โ€”"

"We can skip that." Jay said, looking down at Manny, before looking back up at the fan.

"Uh, 'failure to heed these warnings can lead to serious injury or death.'" I said, looking over Manny's shoulder so I could read the instructions.

"You know, you worry too much. Both of you do. You know that." Jay tells us. "Nobody's gonna get shocked."

"One time my dad was struck by lightning." Manny said, "That's why he can drink as much as he wants"

"What's going on in there?" Gloria suddenly called out as she walked up the stairs, a tray in her hand. The tray held three glasses of water, each cup had ice in.

"That's not step four." Manny said to Jay.

"Don't worry about it." Jay replied.

"It says right here that you shouldโ€”" Manny pointed at something in the booklet.

"That's worrying about it."

"I thought you guys might need a drink" Gloria said, now in the room.

"Thank you, Aunt Gloria" I say, taking my glass from her. She smiled at me before looking at Jay and Manny.

"Oh, you have no idea." Jay said, as Gloria puts the tray down on top of Manny's dresser.

"Manny, And Y/N, mi amor, I have to go get some stuff for our trip." She says, hugging manny and I. "Ay! But have some fun with your father, and uncle, Okay? And I'll see you Monday. Mwah! It makes me so happy to see my two boys working together"

"Jay shocked himself twice." Manny told her.

"We even warned him" I added.

"Okay, Manny, And Y/N." Jay rolled his eyes.

"That's true" Manny said to me.

"Yep, they've been big help." Jay said in his usual grumpy tone.

"Look at you three with your private jokes already." Gloria says, smiling.

โ€”โ€”

"Ah, son of aโ€” you gave me the wrong screwdriver." Jay says to me, he was standing on a stepladder so he could reach the fan.

"Maybe you're just using it wrong." Manny suggested.

"Yeah." I said.

"My dads great with tools. He can get the wheels off a car in less than a minute." Manny told us.

"Just get me to wine country. Just get me to wine country." Jay whispers. A piece of the fan falls down, and hits Manny's arm.

"Ow!" Manny shouts.

"Sorry!" Jay apologised, looking down at Manny and I.

"Manny! Are you okay?" I asked him.

"I think my arm is broken!" He told us.

"Relax. It's not broken." Jay dismisses Manny.

"How do you know?" I ask, checking Manny's arm.

"Yeah, how do you know? You don't know anything!" Manny said, "You have no concern for safety."

"Because it didn't hit you that hard." Jay said. I gave Jay a look.

"Why don't you just say it?" Manny said, still holding his arm, "You don't want me around โ€” you don't want me, or Y/N, around."

"You know what? Right now, I don't!" Jay said, raising his voice.

"I don't wanna be with you either. I'm gonna go wait for my dad." Manny said, storming out of his room.

"Oh, butโ€” but if you leave, how will I ever finish?" Jay asks, turning to look at Manny.

"You know what?" Manny says, turning around, "I wish you never married my mum. I hate living here."

"You think I like this arrangement?" Jay began, "I got a two-seater parked in the driveway!" Jay looked down and shook his head. He lifted his head back up and turned to see I was still there. "You gonna go, or you just gonna stand there?" He asked.

"I'llโ€”I'll go." I said, then left the room. I heard him sigh but I continued to walk down the stairs.

โ€”โ€”

Manny and I waited outside, we sat on the curb, waiting for Manny's Dad to show up. We look left, then right. I don't know what his car looks like, so I got my hopes up whenever a car was driving down our street.
"Say, listen." Jay said, leaving the house and sat next to Manny. "I, uhโ€” sorry but I got some bad news."

"What?" Me and Manny said at the same time.

"Your dad couldn't make it."

"Why not?" We asked.

"The plane was full, and this old lady needed to get home, so he gave up his seat."

"You're making that up, aren't you?" Manny asked.

"No."

"He just didn't want to come." Manny said, sadly.

"Are you kidding me? He was very upset. He was dying to see you." When Jay said that, the limo, he and Gloria had booked, pulled up. "In fact look what he sent." Jay says, pointing at the limo. I looked at Jay, giving him a confused look.

"A limo?" Manny asked.

"Yeah. He wanted me and your mum, Y/N your aunt, to take you to Disneyland" Jay said.

"I told you he was an awesome dad." Manny said.

"Yeah, he's a prince."

Manny got up and climbed into the limo. I stood up and gave Jay a hug. "Thanks Jay." I said to him, he smiled down at me. We all get in the car and drive off to Disneyland, we have a really good time there. I got a (random Disney souvenir) and Manny got Mickey Mouse ears. During the ride home I snuggle into Gloria, whilst Manny snuggled into Jay.
