Y/n POV

I felt light tears run down my face.

It took about 10 minutes after the attack for it to dawn on me what has happened.

Kasumi.

Was he ok?

I looked back at the orange haired boy.

He leaned on my back, limbly.

It was a horrible thing to see.

A familiar face, unconscious and lifeless.

I felt his uneven breaths on my back.

I new when he was alive but I don't know if he was ok.

When that soldier elbowed him he hit his head on a rock.

I suddenly panicked and stopped my horse.

I spun around to face kasumi and placed my hand on his head.

I felt something lukewarm and wet.

I took my hand out of his hair and saw small bits of smudged blood.

I placed my clean hand over my mouth and my felt my breath hitched.

I stared at the smudged blood and then back at kasumi.

I looked at kusumi and hugged him closer.

"Kasumi?" I breathed.

No response.

I got off the horse and lifted him to the ground carefully.

I crouched beside him and held his head.

I couldn't stay here for long I didn't know how far away Technoblade was.

I ripped some my clothing sleeve and rapped most of it around his head, where I assume the wound was.

I hugged him again and stood up, placing him back on the horse.

I jumped back on the horse and continued riding it towards the mountains.

Tears where still in my eyes and everything was a little bit blurry.

I knew that Technoblade and his men weren't to far behind me.

I felt so stupid, I should have know that they would have followed us. Why didn't we spend more time travelling and less time fucking around.

I looked up at the sky, it was almost dark.

The gates closed at midnight, we had about 4 hours to get there.

We could make it in about 3.

I took a breath in and order the horse to go forwards.

We started galloping though the valley, there was almost no trees at this point.

And the air was getting damper every minute.

I could feel my face freeze up as my tears made my face wet and cold.

I wiped my eyes with my ripped sleeves and carry forward.

I tried to stop crying, but the tears didn't stop until an hour later.

By this time there was no trees and the mountains started to tower over me.

The ground got more rough and in the distance I could see the path leading to the mountain pass.

Kasumi hasn't awoken up yet, but i could hear him mumbled something every few minutes.

Each inaudible mutter was a spark of hope for me, but also a spear of self hate.

All of his pain was my fault.

The story I told Technoblade wasn't even true, it wasn't half as horrible as what happened.

I shook my head and told my self to stop thinking about it.

I looked behind me to see kasumi Unconscious face.

Then I felt a hard spec on my head.

I looked forwards and then up again, another wet spec landed on my nose.

It had began to rain.

It was now dark and raining.

I sighed and shivered.

The small droplets of rain began getting more frequently and heavier.

I grumble and look back at kasumi, in the distance I noticed a small fast moving silhouette.

I focus more on the movie object, it seemed to be following my trail.

A small breath hitched me as I thought of Technoblade.

Was that him?

Was he following me?

No, it was one single creature. If he was following me the soldiers.

I look forwards again and order the horse to go faster.

I knew kasumi had killed a few but I wasn't sure how many since I left in a hurry of course.

I assume around 4-5 maybe?

It was probably just a mountain lion or some kind of other animal.

Yeah, an animal.

...

Another hour was passed and I was beginning to panic.

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it in time.

And it has gotten darker.

It was still raining and my horse was having a hard time in the slippery, rough terrain.

If the horse where to hurt himself, I would have to walk with an unconscious person.

But I was was starting to think that he was going to wake up soon because he was muttering and moving more.

He almost fell off the horse earlier.

And I was no longer worried about the supposed animal that may or may not be following me.

But I was still worried about Technoblade following me.

I hate riding horses.

I was bad at it and felt tired.

I looked over to the mountains and saw the great mountain pass.

I was at least getting closer.

I felt kasumi move on my back.

"Y/n?"

I stopped the horse.

"KASUMI?" I shouted and turned around.

He flinched hard at the sound of my voice.

"Y/N- I CANT- CANT SEE." He was panicking.

I flipped my whole body around and held him by his shoulders.

"What do you mean you can't see?" I stared at his eyes which where wide open, nothing were covering them.

His eyes weren't looking at me though.

They seemed to be franticly moving around.

"I-I it's so- dark." He stuttered.

"Can you see anything at all?" I questioned him.

"On-only little th-things l-like soft lights." Tears began to weld up in his eyes.

"Kasumi?" I cooed

"My he-head hurts." He muttered.

"Yeah you hit it on a rock after that guard elbowed you." He informed.

"O-ow." He murmured.

I covered his eyes with another piece of my clothing and told him to wrap his hands around my chest.

We road towards the mountain path.

Nothing was going well.
