Techno's POV

I could see y/n and his horse in the distance.

I was following him from quite a bit away:

But I was gaining on him quickly.

I could tell even from here that y/n didn't have a lot of experience in horse riding.

I would see him stop every so often.

I was surprised that y/n hasn't seen me yet.

Maybe he has but I couldn't tell.

I knew kasumi had been unconscious from earlier but I wasn't sure if he still was.

The darker it got the harder it was to see them, which was fine because I knew exactly where they where going.

Currently they weren't in my view because I was on lower slope, but as my horse climbed over the hill they enter my view again.

They we're much, much more closer then before.

I felt I grin reached across my face and I order my horse to speed up.

...

Y/n POV

We had another hour until the gates closed and we where about half an hour away.

That seemed like a lot of time but my horse was slowly down as the terrain got rougher.

Kasumi was quiet but I could feeling him breathing and his hug around my chest.

I didn't know what to do with him, he said he couldn't see anything.

Had he gone blind? When he hit his head... did that somehow effect his vision?

I wasn't a doctor and I didn't know what to do.

I didn't know anything about how the body works and stuff.

The only thing I could do is hope that his vision would clear up.

I was cold, but the rain had started to calm down.

Kasumi was shivering, he never did well in the cold whether.

I saw the moon getting closer to the peek of the sky.

The second it hit midnight, the gates for the mountain pass would close until the next full moon.

I shivered and yawned, I was beginning to worry even more.

Then my horse stop suddenly and neighed.

"Huh, YA!" I yelled.

But the horse refused to move.

"Y/n what's wrong?" Muttered kasumi.

"I don't know, the horse won't move. Give me a second." I hopped off the horse making sure that kasumi wouldn't fall off and tugged at the reins.

The horse pulled back and huffed.

"What's wrong?" I mumbled and tugged harder.

The horse neighed and whipped back, sending kasumi of balance.

He fell of the horse and landed on his backside.

"Oof." Yelped kasumi has the horse then started to run off.

"HEY GET BACK HERE." I shouted at the horse, but it just ran off into the darkness.

"UGH." I shouted and turned to kasumi

"Y/n? What happened, where are you?" Kasumi began to panic.

"I'm over here, kasumi." I walked over to him.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"Yeah, I just fell. I wasn't bucked off, I don't think." He informed.

"Ok, good good."

"Y/n?"

"Yes?"

"I'm scared."

"I know."

I grabbed his hand and pulled him to his feet.

"Are we going to make it?" He asked.

I looked to the direction of where the gate was, it seemed much more far away now without the horse.

"I think so." I replied.

"Where did the horse go? We did it run away?" He questioned.

"I'm not sure, maybe something spooked it." I said and started walking, hold kasumi's hand.

If we where gonna make it to the gate in time, it was gonna be very tight.

we travelled as fast as we could to the mountain pass.

The details of the pass, slowly became more visible, Even from far away.

I could see alignment of perfectly craved stone and quartz.

Kasumi asked a lot of questions about the what it looked like.

I told him it had a din glow coming from it, because there was torches aligned it and stone figures beside it.

There was also to small gates that where also covered in smaller details but I couldn't see them from here.

Beside the small gates was the gate guard, who lived too guard the gates and lived in a small house around the path somewhere.

I could see the moon slowly get closer to the peak of the sky.

The ground was rough and hard to walk on, but up ahead was a short path leading to the mountain path.

Kasumi was slow and kept almost tripping on the rocks, but I tried my best to keep him on his feet.

"Kasumi can you see anything at all?" I asked.

"I can see the light from the gate you described and sometimes I can see a faint light, from the moon I suppose." He responded.

"It is dark so, I don't expect you to see much." I replied.

"Yeah, in the morning we can figure out what happened to my eyes." He smiled.

"Yeah." I was surprised that he took this situation so calmly.

The ground below us suddenly, smoothed out. I looked down and realized that we had made it to the pathway and the pass wasn't to fair away.

"Kasumi! We're almost there!" I exclaimed. This moment reminded me of when we first entered Hilltoe-ville, so full of hope and relief.

"We are?!" He grinned.

"Yes!" I chirped.

We began to walk faster.

Then the gates began to move, they where starting to close.

"There closing!" I shouted.

"What?!" Kasumi huffed.

I held Kasumi's hand and started to half-run.

As we got closer to the pass the gates got even closer together.

I was about 20 feet away and I reached with my other hand.

But it was to late. The pass shut infront of us.

"NO!" I squealed.

I let go of kasumi's hand and bang my hands on the gates.

"OPEN THE GATES, PLEASE!" I yelled.

Nothing happened, I kept on banging and banging on the door until my knuckles started to hurt.

I collapsed on my knees in front of the door.

"No..." I shuttered, tears flowing down my face.

"Y/n it's ok. We'll find another way." Said kasumi behind me.

"NO ITS NOT." I snapped still facing the door.

"Y/n-"

"NO ITS NOT OK, THIS WAS OUR ONLY CHANCE AND NOW WE ARE STUCK HERE FOREVER. WE WILL NEVER BE FREE." I barked.

Kasumi stay quiet.

"Kasumi?" I turned around.

There stood Technoblade. The tall, skinny man and he had his hand covering kasumi mouth. with his sword drawn and the tip facing my head.

"Y/n." Said the salon haired prince, his eyes sending daggers at me.

"YOU." I hissed.

"Stand up slowly." He order with little emotion showing.

I did as he said, slowly standing up and then turning around to face.

"Great now drop your weapons." He began to grin.

I growled under my breath and dropped my bag from my shoulders.

"Great, hold out your wrist." He ordered.

I huffed and raised my wrist towards him. He then tie a piece a fabric around kasumi's mouth and then tied a piece of rope around my wrist.

He tied a piece of fabric around my mouth and tied rope around kasumi's wrist.

He tugged the rope around my wrist.

"Cmon, we have a journey to make." He started.
