:Lore:
Neither of my parents were amused when I came home. Especially in Isaac's car, but I didn't care. I'm not sure how Isaac did it but he made me feel a bit different. From that charming smile on his face to his kindness.
He was different for sure and he made me feel a bit jealous when Isadora came in. And I'm not even how he did it. I barely knew him except that his dog Venom seemed to like me. Although his wolf hybrid Venom was absolutely gorgeous, the most beautiful wolf I've encountered.
He wasn't a solid color. He was black, brown, silver, caramel, and white. Sort of like Isaac's hair and bright gold eyes. And I felt bad for trespassing on his land and he didn't seem to mind. Isadora seemed like a nice girl very eager to meet me
And his mother was sweet. Danielle made me wish my mother was like her, sweet but not overbearing like my mother. I was sitting in bed with my Bluetooth headphones plugged in with 'All The Stars' playing from my shuffle. My mother was unpacking in distaste despite not liking it here.
But she wasn't about to take this away from me. One month. Just one month and I was free from their controlling grasp. I sucked in air before getting up and taking my pills for the middle of the day before going out and washing a frying pan as I set down my iPod.
"Lore." My mother said and I looked at her. "What?" I asked. "Lore. . . I'm sorry for last night." My mother said. But it was forced, I could tell because she wasn't sorry. But at least she was attempting. "If you like it here, that's fine." My mom said.
I took out the wheat carb count shells and cooked up some chicken before making myself a quesadilla and I looked back at her. "Who was that man that drove you home yesterday?" My mother asked as I sealed the quesadilla before flipping it and I looked back at her.
"His name was Isaac." I said. "How did you meet him?" My mother asked. "His wolf hybrid Venom led me back to his house." I said. My mom's eyes widened. "And you went in?" She asked. "Yes, he was nice, and it was refreshing to have someone who sees me for me not my disease." I said.
"You followed a wolf hybrid?" My mom asked changing the subject. "Yes." I said. "Those are dangerous animals." My mom said. "He was friendly. He didn't scare me." I said as I flipped the quesadilla a few more times before taking it off.
I took out the pizza cutter and began to cut it before putting them on the side. And then I set the sour cream next to the slices before going to sit at the table. My mother followed me as she ate her sandwich she had made herself and watched me.
"What?" I asked. "I know you won't like doing this, but we have to get you signed up for your doctors." My mom said and I frowned. Because I didn't like it. I spent my entire life being poked and prodded at I wanted to live just a normal few days.
And then I remembered Isaac's offer. "I'll offer you a deal mom." I said and she raised her eyebrow at this. "If I can spend time with Isaac today, I'll go willingly to the doctors and won't be a bitch. But you have to let me spend time with Isaac today." I said.
My mom seemed conflicted. "If you don't, I will be one." I said. "Fine." My mom said and I couldn't help the grin that spread across my face at the thought of spending time with Isaac. Sure I didn't know him all that well, but he seemed like a good person.
And this was the perfect chance to get to know him. I knew that well. The thought of having the taste of a normal life was at reach. And my mother even agreed to it. Having to deal with a doctor would be worth having just a small sliver of a normal life.
I would put up with it and behave myself to get the taste of a normal life that I craved since I had been diagnosed with my heart disease. And it was at my grips. And I was going to seize it. So with a smile I followed my mom out.
"I'm sorry, but we don't have any heart doctors available that can take on any patients right now, but we can send you to another place." The nurse at the front desk said.
My mother looked mad but then stopped. "Black Crescent infirmary. It's a private practice. They don't take on many clients, but you can always try or head over to the pediatrics and stay there until one of our doctors open up." The nurse said.
"We'll check out Black Crescent infirmary." My mother said and the nurse nodded and wrote down the address for us. And then we were back in the car and my mother drove off as I rest my head against the window as we drove to the second place before a small building pulled into view.
Black Crescent infirmary was wrote in elegant calligraphy over the beige building. My mom got out and we walked up and I watched the room and sucked in some breath. My mom opened the door and we went into the homely building and I looked around as my mom went up to the desk.
The lady looked up. "Yes?" She asked. "I'm here to see if you can take my daughter Lore Stars. Here's her files." My mom said. The lady took them and I looked up as Isaac came out brushing some of his hair from his face as his mom followed him.
"And that should be Isaac's last check-up, he's perfectly healthy. But he's welcome back if he ever gets seriously injured." The male doctor said and Danielle nodded. Isaac looked over and smiled at me. "Hi Lore." Isaac said and I smiled at him feeling my cheeks heat up.
The nurse looked up and I watched as his dark eyes glazed over for a moment before the nurse smiled. "Doctor Wesley, this is Lore's files, would you mind putting her in the files, we're going to take her on as a patient." The nurse said and the doctor came over and accepted it.
Isaac smiled at me as he walked by as the nurse smiled. "We have an appointment next Friday at 1:00PM is that good for you?" The nurse asked and my mom nodded as I looked at Isaac who now stood outside waiting for me.
And then once the appointment was scheduled we were outside. "Mom can I go with Isaac?" I asked watching him lean up against a black four door pick-up. His black eyes burned into me holding me in place seeing if I was going to come up to him or even leave with him.
And if I had my way I was going to be leaving the doctors with him and then we could do that little coffee date that he said we could have. The idea of a small little coffee date at a café in town had me thrilled at the idea of it.
I didn't mind coffee and thankfully it was one of the things that I could eat and that I was happy for sure. My mother looked at Isaac who leaned against the door. His mom smiled at mine who didn't know how to react to that. My mom didn't have many friends.
She dumped most of her friends when I was born with my heart disease and put all her attention on me. At first it was nice, but not so much anymore as she became overbearing. I wish she would see life the way I would and take a glance. A happier shorter life than a miserable longer life.
My mom looked back at Isaac and took in his appearance. From his black leather pants to his white button-up shirt an his Converse that he wore. She had no idea what to classify him as and I felt a bit prideful at that.
But I just had this feeling that he was a good person. I mean I was at his house and he didn't drug or poison me, not even attempt to kill me. And he had every opportunity to do it, but he chose not to which meant a lot to me.
"Fine." My mom said giving in and a grin spread across my face as I went over with pride at being near him and then I was in his car and we were off to the café.
1482. Don't be Lore with a real man you meet. I doubt they are Isaac, sweet precious Isaac. Don't do what Lore did. Lore just got lucky. I'm spending the night at my sister's house, I feel so awkward. I'm here with my dog. But you still writing my chapters! Until next time sisterly-brotherly marshmallows.
