Audrey Pov

"Oh so there is our little Mike Tyson." My dad said as he laughed and punched my arm lightly. I just laughed and pushed him away.

"Whatever dad." I said as I playfully pushed him away.

"Come sit down drey." My mom said calmly. I made my way over to the chair diagonal from the couch. I looked at her and she looked at me.

"Audrey , I don't want you to grow up being a 'fighter'. I want you to be intelligent. I don't want you to stray away from who you are. 2 months Audrey? Seriously? I'll have your cousin Michelle drop off your school work for the next month. Your teachers already got it together." She said as she grabbed my hands and looked me in my eyes.

"Mom, it was all Amanda's fault. I was just defending myself." I said quietly.

"We know babygirl. That's why we aren't punishing you. We taught you better than that. Now go shower and get ready to eat. We are making mini pizzas." My dad said. I got up and headed upstairs. On my way up the stairs I had five new texts.
Bestfriend : AUDREY IM HOMEE (:
290-758-2367: Hey Audrey, It's Tris. Brad gave us your number.
290-266-1264: Hey Drey. Brad gave us your number.
290-266-1264: Oh this is Connor btw. xD
290-345-2790: Hey Drey. It's James. I think you know how I got your number.

I just chuckled, added them to my contact list, and texted them back. I decided on fuzzy cookie monster pants and a Blink-182 t-shirt. I decided on no music so I could think. I hopped in the shower and started my thinking process.

Brad Pov

I'm not sure if I should tell Audrey I like her or not. I don't want to mess up our fresh friendship. I sent the text to Audrey as soon as I got home. I decided to get in the shower and chill out before I got a huge lecture from my parents. It was around 8 when I heard one of my parents cars pull up into the driveway. I looked out of the window to see my mom getting out the drivers seat. She had someone with her. I kept staring until I recognized it was my Aunt Sarah. She was the last person I wanted to see. I heard the keys jiggle in the door and heard the door slam.
"Bradley Will Simpson! Get your ass down here now!" My mom screamed up to me. I rolled out of bed. I didn't have a shirt on. I just had a pair of red pajama pants on with wet hair. I made my way downstairs and sat on the couch trying to avoid eye contact.
"So I get a call from work saying that you have been suspended for a month ? What happened Bradley?" My mom said staying at me. Aunt Sarah was just co-signing with everything she said.
"My friend got in a fight and she was already scared , so we just tried to get her away from everybody, but we got caught trying to take her outside." I said simply before messing in my hair.
"You and those boys are always messing around. You all need to get your acts together. But wait, who is 'she'?" My mom questioned.
"She is just a friend from school. She is always getting picked on and she is really cool and sweet." I said. 'Just a friend' replayed over and over again in my head. I toned my mom and aunt out and focused on Audrey.
"Bradley Will Simpson! Are you ignoring us ?" My mom screamed.
"No ma'am." I said.
"Whatever , I give up. Do what you feel. But just so you know, I'm really disappointed in you." My mom said before heading towards to the stairs. I just sighed and out my head in my hands.

"Bradley, you know that your future comes first. We want yo--"
"I already have a tutor Aunt Sarah." I said cutting her off.
"How did you know I going to talk to you about the tutoring thing?" She said with a very confused expression on her face.
"When don't you talk about it?" I chuckled. With that I walked up to my room. I saw that I had a text message from a number I didn't know.

290-653-3457: Hey Bradley, this is Amanda. I don't see why you are hanging out with that peice of trash if you ever want to hang out with something real and full of excitement. Text me back (;
Me: Amanda leave me the fuck alone. You got your ass beat for doing something you had no buisness in doing. Now if I were you I would delete my number andnevertextmeagain.
795-653-3457: Damn Bradley. Aren't you fiesty. I like that. But if you ever want to talk , you have my number . (;
Me: Bye Amanda.

With that I texted Audrey about me going to sleep early but she never replied so I figured she was sleep. I just rolled over and stared at the ceiling while listening to OneRepublic. "I lived" started playing and I just thought about anything and everything before I drifted off to sleep.
