It was a Sunday and I was playing Clash of Clans when suddenly, my mother asked me to dispose of the old newspapers from last year. I grunted since I was still not done playing but when my mother nagged me, I immediately rose up and picked up the pile of newspapers.

"Kuya, buy me sisig 7Eleven!" my younger brother asked me and I groaned once again. It was supposed to be a rest day but why do they keep on commanding me. However, I shook my head. I shouldn't complain because in a few weeks from now, I will be away from them since I'm gonna be in my apartment for school. I should make the most out of the moments that I'm with them.

I rode my bike and went to the nearest 7Eleven. It's actually like killing two birds in one stone since I knew someone who buys old newspapers near here; at the same time, I can buy my younger brother sisig.

While waiting outside of the establishment, I read the top story in the newspaper dated last year. There was a severe car accident of the person named James, with no casualties but it left a lot of injuries.

"I wonder if it affected his jaw," I muttered but was eventually revived to reality when someone who buys newspapers called my name.

What happened on Sunday was actually a premonition of what will happen today, a Monday. On this fateful morning, a patient named James walked into the dental clinic. I frowned upon the name but realized that there were a lot of James in the world.

However, when Dr. Eli told me James' case, I was sure he was the one in the newspaper. What a coincidence!

Last year, James had been in a severe car accident that left her with multiple facial injuries, including a fractured jaw and extensive dental damage. He was devastated by the accident, both by his physical appearance and his inability to smile or eat properly. He tried to let months pass but he was still not able to recover well. With this, he was told to visit a dentist, in hopes that there will be a remedy for his case.

Dr. Elmer, known for his compassionate care, immediately began the process of reconstructing James' facial structure. With the help of other dentists, they collaborated and carefully designed a treatment plan for James. I also assisted them during brainstorming and also picked up knowledge.

As Dr. Elmer worked on James maxillofacial reconstruction, he realized that the final stages of the procedure would require the expertise of a skilled cosmetic dentist. This is where Dr. Susan's specialization comes in. Dr. Elmer asked help from his wife, Dr. Susan, who was known for her innovative dental work. Her assistance in ensuring that James' smile would be as beautiful as it was functional would be of great help, especially in times of this.

After the surgery, James would come again for several check-ups but now, as he heals, he will be able to regain his smile and he could already eat properly.
