Realization dawned upon Gen and Chrome as wide, excited grins broke out on their faces as you finished, "Two of them: Taiju and Yuzuriha!"
(E/C) eyes softened with nostalgia when you remembered the eager look on your friend's face when he told Senku that smartphones were the most important thing needed to revive human civilization.
'Yuzuhira, Taiju, wherever you are, I hope that the two of you are doing well,' You thought fondly, missing the easy companionship that the four of you had even after thousands of years.
Next to you, Senku let out a warm chuckle, most likely thinking of the same memory as you as he sighed, "That blockhead Taiju wanted a smartphone so badly, and now it's finally going to happen."
"I bet if he's here, he'll be jumping all over the place while yelling at the top of his lungs in excitement," you giggled at the image of it.
"Granted, this time it'll just be a regular phone, not the smart kind," the scientist explained as he got one of the villagers who was talented in drawing to map out the science journey that they were going to embark on making the phone.
"We can do this! We were able to make sulfa drugs, and they took a ton of work, too!" Chrome declared, his fists curled into determination while Kaseki hopped up and down beside him, his eyes widening in eagerness as each step of the process was drawn on the board.
"Uh, listen...You guys clearly aren't aware of this, but this road map is full of implausible things," Gen sighed, trying to be the voice of reason.
Your lips stretched into a wide grin as you smacked the mentalist on his back, causing said teen to fumble forward as he was caught off guard, "Shouldn't you know by now? There's nothing implausible about it."
Chuckling, Senku agreed with a small smirk, "No matter how far off the goal may seem, if you stick to the rules, you'll get there ten billion percent of the time. That's how science works."
