Grimmjow was having a crappy morning. It was his day off, yet he couldn't lounge around and do nothing. This was the point of having a day off... doing nothing!
Instead, he had been woken up by your stupid cat who had started to nuzzle itself on him, waking him up and unable to go back to sleep. Then he missed breakfast, but he could probably just cook himself food. Oh wait! He doesn't know how to cook...
In Grimmjow's opinion, the worst thing was that you had asked him to watch your cat. It hasn't even been 24 hours of Grimmjow buying it, and already, he was stuck with it. Zaraki, the cue ball, and feather eyes couldn't watch it, they were doing a scope around Karakura Town to make sure it wasn't in trouble. Yachiru can't cause you dragged her with you to the grocery. And none of the Urahara shop workers could do it, they're to busy running the store'.
Grumpy as Grimmjow was, staring at the stupid feline who was currently playing with it's own food, Grimmjow figured that maybe the whole morning wasn't that bad.
"Hey, JowJow- chan!" A small female voice had called out suddenly. Grimmjow opened one eye to look at the small pink haired girl in front of him. He wondered what she wanted from him, and then wondered why the fcuk is she calling him ''JowJow'?!
"Mimi- chan wants to ask you something." Yachiru said as she then walked off, getting ready to put on her shoes.
"Mimi- chan?" Grimmjow questioned, he had heard the name before, but he never thought much of it. In fact, he head heard Jiro and the others say it a lot as well. Then again, who says he ever pays much attention to them? "Who the fuc-"
"Grimmjow- san?" Grimmjow heard you say softly. This slightly ticked Grimmjow off, you were using honorifics with him again. Grimmjow hated it when you used honorifics in his name, it made him feel old and like he was a stranger to you. Yet he was fcukin' you at one point, so you were far from being a 'stranger'.
"What the fuck do you want?" Grimmjow asked bitterly, still pissed off by the honorifics. But Grimmjow noticed that small pout on your lips, and lightly knotted eyebrows. You were mad at him. Perhaps he should be a little nicer, and decided to ask again, but more politely.
"What the hell do you want woman?" Grimmjow asked again, your expression easing slightly. At least he addressed you... somewhat.
"Watch Grimm- chan for me. I'm going to the grocery." You answered, which sounded more of a demand then a question.
"What?" Grimmjow asked as he stood up annoyed. "I'm not watching your damn cat."
"Then I'm not feeding you." You answered back annoyed.
"Damn bitch." Grimmjow replied as Grimmjow slammed his hands against the wall, trapping you between him and the wall. "Don't tempt me to kill you." Grimmjow threatened as you stared at him plainly.
"Grimmjow- san!" Urahara suddenly yelled out from the back of the store, his cheery voice ringing through.
"What old man!?" Grimmjow screamed back. He was getting frustrated, everyone was yelling at him this morning.
While Grimmjow and Urahara yelled at each other back and forth, you had decided to take this chance and leave. He was probably going to kill you later when he realizes you're gone, he'll probably kill your cat first though.
Quickly, without putting any second thought into it, you gently pressed your lips against Grimmjow's cheek. Grimmjow's eyes widened at the sudden feeling, what the fcuk is going on?! What the fcuk just happened?!
It was at the moment that when Grimmjow felt your lips leave his, he turned to face you, but you were no longer there. No, instead he was now looking down at a snow white coloured cat. For a moment, Grimmjow blinked confused, his eyes now scanning the area for you. But there you were, running out of the Urahara Shop as you screamed back to him waving.
"Thanks Grimmjow!"
".... Kagami! You bitch!" Grimmjow yelled in frustration, you just left him with your cat. And you kissed him... but the cat.
The thoughts of what had happened earlier kept resurfacing into Grimmjow's mind. Damn he wanted to feel your lips again, and again, and again. But that damn cat kept distracting him from his fantasies of you.
Grimmjow growled, he hated watching this cat. It seemed to mock him in every way possible. Right now, it looked like it was showing off the fact that he was able to eat, while Grimmjow sat there hungry for the past hour.
"Where the hell is she!?" Grimmjow yelled in annoyance, letting his head bang on the table.
"We're back! Yay!" Yachiru called out with a smile from the front of the store, her voice clearly audible to anyone inside.
"Yeah, we're back." You answered tired, as you tried to bring in all the grocery bags.
"Finally you damn woman!" You heard Grimmjow scream as he entered the room. "I'm fuckin' hungry!"
However, you still didn't bother to answer him. Instead, you simply walked past him and into the kitchen.
As you were cooking, Yachiru had gotten bored, and left to go and look for her colouring book, which she had claimed she had left in the room. Then again, you figured it was one of those stupid plans of trying to leave you and Grimmjow alone together. Too bad she didn't know you 2 weren't together anymore.
"Here." You said plainly, placing multiple bowls and a plate in front of Grimmjow.
"What the fuck is this?" Grimmjow asked, not trying to sound rude. It was harder then he thought.
"You said you were hungry and missed breakfast." You answered casually. "So there, breakfast."
"Oh..." Was the only thing Grimmjow could answer. He was surprised you were even listening to him when he kept complaining he was hungry. It was a pretty standard breakfast, just rice, a rolled omlet, miso soup, dried seaweed, and soybeans. It wasn't something Grimmjow preferred, but at least it was food. For breakfast, Grimmjow usually ate a hamburger. He would usually buy one from a fast food restaurant that was on his way to work, that was real breakfast to him, meat.
Grimmjow didn't realize how hungry he was until he wolfed down his food. He actually enjoyed the soy beans and dried seaweed, he wasn't really a fan of them. Although he was still hungry, he figured he had some patience to wait for lunch, and then decided the least he could do is put away his dishes.
You stood over the sink cleaning the vegetables as the meat cooked. You were trying to do it quickly, thinking that maybe everyone must be hungry... especially the angry espada that sat outside with your cat. Oh my god, what if he eats your cat?! Then again, you figured Grimmjow wouldn't eat his own kind.
You didn't realize Grimmjow was standing behind you, about to put his dishes at the side of the sink. You felt his arm brush past you, as he places his dishes to the side and pause for a moment. But what did surprise you was when you felt his lips against your cheek.
"Thanks." Grimmjow said under his breath, as if he was nervous or shy to say the word.
"Yeah..." Was all you could reply as you let the fringe of your hair cover your eyes and slowly turning pink cheeks.
"Let's go you damn cat." Grimmjow said as he started walking outn of the kitchen, and outside to the back. "Let that damn woman cook."
You paused your actions for a moment, thinking things through. In the eyes of another, Grimmjow probably had never changed. He was still rude, blunt and sarcastic. He wasn't destructive anymore, but that was because he wasn't allowed to be. But no one knew Grimmjow, the way you knew him. He wasn't the same Grimmjow anymore, he had changed. He was more thoughtful and more compassionate then a man of destruction could ever be. Although, all that was hidden behind his usual self.
Grimmjow wasn't stupid. He had stayed behind to see your reaction to the kiss, and was standing outside the door with Grimm, watching. Grimmjow watched as you used your arm to wipe your eyes, and he knew you weren't cutting or cooking onions today for lunch. So why were you crying? ... again.
"She misses you blue man." A small voice said from below Grimmjow.
Slightly surprised, Grimmjow quickly looked down to see a head of pink hair crouched down near Grimm, staring into the kitchen as well.
"What did you say brat?" Grimmjow asked with an annoyed expression that this small child was able to near him without sensing her reiatsu.
"She misses you. Back home me and Yun- Yun use to hear her crying." Yachiru explained, not looking up to face Grimmjow. "Ken- chan would always have to stay with her until she stops."
Grimmjow listened to Yachiru's explanation, surprised by it. You were the one who had left him, yet you were the one crying about the situation.
"Does she still cry?" Grimmjow asked without much thought, as if his mouth was speaking on it's own.
"Sometimes I hear her cry." Yachiru admitted easily. "I heard her crying last week. Ken- chan and her stayed up all night." Grimmjow didn't bother to answer to this. He knew that you were crying, and he knew it was his fault.
"Ken- chan worries about her when she cries cause last time she got sick."
"Sick?" Grimmjow asked surprised by this explanation.
"Yeah." Yachiru answered without looking at him. "Mimi- chan started eating a lot, but then she would throw it all up. She started getting bigger too."
Yachiru continued on, her innocent nature unable to explain fully what had happened that day, for she herself, didn't know.
"So she went to Re- chan. And when she came back home, Ken- chan was upset while she kept crying. Cueball and Yun- Yun were there too, they said she was really sick and it would be awhile before she would be better."
Once again, Grimmjow didn't say a word afterwards. Instead, he continued to stare along with Yachiru and Grimm through the open door, watching you cook. There was no words to say, all he could do was admit to himself that he wasn't there for you in your time of need.
End.
