~Chapter 13~

Odd brushed dust off his clothes, standing in the middle of the room.

"Dammit! I opened a wrong portal." Jenny scolded herself.

"Eh it's fine, just open another one then." Odd assured her.

Jenny nodded, took a deep breath and forced open another portal.

"I can tell that this is never going to cease to amaze me." Odd mumbled to himself after seeing a portal flashed in front of his eyes.

"Okay, we're going to the core of Lyoko. You ready? I'm not exactly sur-" Jenny was cut off by Jeremy as he spoke through the mic.

"Hey guys. Ulrich and Yumi are going in." He quickly said as the sound of keyboards being pressed down could be heard.

"You finally decided to not be a wuss anymore?" Jenny folded her arms.

"Wuss? What wuss? Look I didn-"

"Okay let's all just do this without any arguments. That cool with the both of you?" Odd asked looking at Jenny.

Well he can't look at Jeremy because he wasn't there so the only person he could look at is: Jenny.

Jenny nodded, while Jeremy sighed.

Odd took the sighing as a sign of agreement.

After a few minutes, Yumi and Ulrich appeared in front of Jenny and Odd.

"Hey!" Jenny greeted, "This way guys!"

"You opened a portal again?" Ulrich just stared at the portal, mouth hanging open.

"Yup." Jenny said, popping the 'p' at end.

Without another word, the gang entered the portal.

At the other side, Jeremy could see everything. From the portal, to the new room they found. He absorbed every single word that was said by Jenny and was quite astounded.

How can Jenny access to everything when she didn't knew of Lyoko's existence before? Just who is she?

"Look, maybe something in that core will tell us about Aelita." Jenny said as she walked towards the cube.

"How do you know?" Ulrich asked, arching his eyebrow.

"My gut." She replied and did her thing with the cube.

The gang looked around the now spread out cube for some clues on Aelita.

"Are you sure there's something here that could help us?" Odd asked.

Yumi shushed him. As all girls know, their gut feelings are pretty accurate.

Jenny nodded furiously and within ten seconds after that question was asked, Yumi found something.

"Here!" She shouted, everyone immediately rushed towards her.

Jenny studied the weird red spiral closely and extracted it out.

"It has Aelita's DNA in it. See the pink thread amongst all the other ones? That's her DNA. I think XANA's controlling her." Jenny said as she spread the spiral out.

"Then what should we do?" Yumi asked, stepping forward to take a closer look at the spiral.

Jenny thought for awhile and then shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know."

"Huh?"

"If I don't do this carefully, I might accidentally re-program Aelita's character here on Lyoko and never be able to change it back. Plus, one mistake would cost her life." Jenny said, not feeling that confident in herself on whether or not she could save Aelita.

"Wait, so everyone risked their lives to go to Lyoko believing that you can save Aelita, and all you can say is you can't?" Jeremy sounded furious, his temper was rising and he was about a few seconds off from blowing his top.

"Look, I didn't knew that it would be this difficult! How am I supposed to know that XANA took Aelita's DNA? This DNA fact just makes everything else more complicated than it was before!" Jenny started showing her temper to Jeremy who clearly didn't understand how difficult everything is.

You could hear Jeremy breathing in as if to calm himself down before saying, "Everyone, i'm going to de-virtualize you. Get ready."

Jenny was a little shocked by Jeremy's sudden announcement. The rest of the gang didn't know what to do in the situation so they just kept quiet, hoping everything will just be fix along the way.

Jeremy started typing on the keyboard in amazing speed. Jenny looked around to state a reason for her to stay in Lyoko to look around for more information.

But before she could find sort of a "excuse", Jeremy suddenly spoke.

"Aelita...? What are you doing here?"

The gang immediately got worried.

"What? Hey! Aelita! What are you- Let that go! Everyone else is still in Lyoko!"

Jenny turned back to Aelita's DNA and started typing things onto a floating keyboard while pulling some of the red spirals that were in Aelita's DNA out.

Actually, every time Aelita is virtualized into Lyoko, she is at risk of losing a bit of her DNA to XANA who wants to use that to control Aelita. If XANA succeeds, XANA can use Lyoko as a base to control the world.

And Jenny knew that. How? Lyoko speaks to her.

"Jenny! I'm going back, hurry up with taking away the XANA thing in Aelita's DNA!" Ulrich then looked at Odd and Odd got ready his laser arrows to shoot him.

"Ulrich! We don't know if this could really kill you! I didn't exactly do much to that previous XANA hack!" Jenny dropped whatever that she was doing and grabbed Odd's arm that was aiming at Ulrich. "You could really die, Ulrich."

At first Ulrich wanted to go along with Jenny, about her "not-dying" plan. But then he thought about Jeremy being in grave danger and no one on the outside able to save him or knows what's happening to him. On top of that, Aelita is slightly controlled by XANA and that spells 'disaster', he changed his mind from "not-dying" to "saving-Jeremy-no-matter-what-it-takes".

Ulrich took one last longing look at Yumi while Yumi did the same. She knew what Ulrich was about to do and there's no stopping him.

Ulrich smiled at Yumi, as if to assure her that he's going to be alright. He wasn't sure too, if he's going to be fine. But for his friends, he'll do anything.

"See you guys on Earth!" He said and stabbed himself with his katana.

Jenny was left speechless, who knew someone would be so willing to save their friends even though they know that they might die.

*Back to Jeremy's*

"Everyone, i'm going to de-virtualize you. Get ready." He said as he began typing down the codes.

Just then, from behind, Aelita walked out of the lift.

"Jeremy." She said monotonously.

Jeremy jumped a little, he couldn't recognise that voice at first then realised it was Aelita.

"Aelita...? What are you doing here?" His voice was a little shaky because the Aelita he knew didn't have black eyes. Not just the pupils being black, it's the entire eye that's black.

She walked towards him slowly. It was like he was teasing him, seeing him shaking like a mouse amused her.

She went over to the cables of the super computer and started pulling them out.

Jeremy grabbed her hands and said, "What? Hey! Aelita! What are you- Let that go! Everyone else is still in Lyoko!"

Aelita gave Jeremy a cold and distant stare. However, Jeremy didn't hover. His grip around her hands got tighter.

Aelita twisted her hands and broke free from Jeremy's grip and then pulled out his mic and crushing it with her hand.

This isn't Aelita for sure.

Using Aelita's distraction on the mic as an advantage, he tackled her down onto the floor. Aelita kneed him in the gut, causing Jeremy to groan in pain. She attempted to wriggle free but to no avail, Jeremy gave in all his strength to make her stay on the ground.

"Aelita, I know this isn't you. Snap out of it." Jeremy said, wrapping his arms around her waist with her hands inside of it.

Aelita didn't respond, all she did was kneed him in the stomach multiple times and pushing up her head roughly to his chin. It did hurt Jeremy a lot, but he refused to let Aelita go.

Knowing his chances of keeping Aelita tied down are slim, he used his leg to get a rope nearby and tried tying her hands together.

But as he was trying to do so, Aelita broke free and started punching really hardly into Jeremy's chest.

By the time Aelita's finished punching him, he was wincing in pain.

Aelita raised her hand just above Jeremy's heart and her hand sped down real fast, it came to a stop when her hand hit something else: another hand.

HEY GUYS. Okay i know i did say to upload with a kiss part, but sadly it aint this chapter(becos it doesnt fit in well overall). I really hope this chap wasn't a confusing one, i hope everyone understood most of it! Im so sorry if i havent been productive as of late. Im horrible and school's fucking horrible. HAHAHA😂😂

Okay, AELITA IS CONTROLLED BY XANA? What?! How? Her DNA? WHAT? SO MANY QUESTIONS😱😱
Eh, but everything will be answered as the chapters comes okay? I know everyone is like: WHO DAFUQ IS JENNY? How does she know so much?
I know right? What's so special about her that she's so close to Lyoko? I don't know, she's fucking awesome but ONE DAY you'll find out! ☺️☺️
