~Chapter 14~

Aelita raised her hand just above Jeremy's heart and her hand sped down real fast, it came to a stop when her hand hit something else: another hand.

She followed the arm to its owner, Ulrich. Ulrich didn't hesitate and he pushed her down to the ground. He picked Jeremy up, leaning him against the wall to rest.

"Hey XANA or whatever you are, come at me if you dare!" He challenged and started sprinting around the room to avoid getting caught by Aelita.

Jenny turned back to Aelita's DNA and sighed heavily.

"Screw it." She said, knowing now that she has to get rid of XANA that's in Aelita's DNA.

Odd and Yumi stood by her side, somewhat fascinated by what Jenny's doing. Jenny programmed so many things and extracted out tons of lines from the DNA.

"Why is it that Aelita's DNA is brought here, Jenny?" Odd asked, turning his head back to check for any mobs.

"Aelita used to be stuck in Lyoko right? So I think when she was here, her DNA were a part of this place. And after de-virtualising her out of here, most of her DNA went out with her and a little bit was left."

Yumi processed for awhile and asked, "That means that every time when Aelita gets virtualised into Lyoko, she's at risk of her DNA getting used by XANA?"

Jenny nodded.

"Wait wait, i'm confused. Her DNA that was left here in Lyoko is the one that is at risk of XANA using it, right?" Odd frowned his eyebrows because he was confused and that he was thinking too hard.

"Yes." Jenny replied nonchalantly.

"What about the rest of her DNA? The ones you said that went out with her?" Yumi asked.

"They aren't at risk. Safe from XANA's harms because they were de-virtualised. Only those little DNA that was left behind here are at risk."

Yumi and Odd both nodded at the same time.

"The other time, you said it was just some chip to her brain... How did it become some DNA crisis?" Odd looked at Jenny's hands as she typed in an impossible speed.

"I was wrong." Was all she said.

Few minutes passed and Jenny finally got to rest.

"Okay, i'm almost done. The rest of the steps that i'm about to do is really risky. One wrong move, Aelita will be suffering the consequences of my actions." Jenny mumbled to herself but it was loud enough for Yumi and Odd to hear.

Jenny calmed herself down and inhaled deeply, shaking her arms about to release any tension in them.

She went into zen mode and commenced.

A loud thud followed by a ridiculously deafening crash.

High pitched screams were coming at the warriors from all corners.

This was XANA's effort to distract Jenny, thankfully for the moment as of now, it wasn't working.

Jenny formed invisible walls around her separating her from the "outside" world.

"Yumi! To the left! I'll attack those on the right! Just survive as long as you can!" Odd shouted and the both of them went head on with the mobs.

Their screams were ear-piercing but they had no choice but to bear with it. They needed to protect Jenny that was saving Aelita.

Odd smirked as he hid behind a wall from the mob that had three heads but no eyes, with legs like centipedes and arms that shoot lasers.

He stretched out silently, behind his cover and looked for the XANA symbol on the monster. It took him quite awhile to realise that the symbol is on the underside of the monster's body.

"I need to slide underneath the body to be able to get a clear shot." He thought to himself.

The monster approached where Odd was and Odd took the moment, slid between the monster's legs and shot at the XANA symbol.

The monster exploded into bits. Odd cheered but his celebration was short because the explosion that happened caused the rest of the same kind monsters to come after him.

"Oh great!" He grumbled and ran away, ducking all the laser shots that were fired at him.

Meanwhile, Jenny was left with one small step with the DNA: removing the XANA symbol that attached itself to the tail of Aelita's DNA. If she deletes or extracts Aelita's DNA along with XANA, Aelita's body will be affected.

Yumi ran past Jenny's little "box" with four monsters chasing after her.

Yumi needed something to make the monsters fall down, she thought hard and came up with the dumbest solution.

She turned and ran towards the monsters and leapt really high, her foot out and she kicked each of the monster on their heads(mind you it's like 3x4=12 heads!) causing them to fall backwards, exposing the XANA symbol beneath them.

Yumi swung her fans and successfully destroyed the four mobs that chased her.

<Back to Jeremy and Ulrich>

Ulrich was tossed across the room and his back collided with the wall, he was bleeding a little and his body more bruised than ever.

Jeremy jumped at Aelita, grabbed her hands as she fell down and tied her hands with the rope he had attempted to tie her with earlier.

Ulrich slowly got up and helped Jeremy to tie the ropes around Aelita's body.

"I'm sorry Aelita. But we need to do this." Jeremy apologised with sad eyes.

As soon as they were down, Aelita was left struggling at the corner with the ropes.

Jeremy put his mic back on and did a mic test to see if the others in Lyoko are doing fine.

"Guys? You hear me?" Jeremy spoke, hoping someone would reply.

But no one did.

He tried again, "Anyone there? I need response guys."

No reply again.

Jeremy looked at Ulrich but Ulrich just shrugged.

<Back to Lyoko>

Behind a wall, Yumi and Odd were panting silently from the remaining five monsters that were chasing them.

Yumi peered over the wall and went back down again.

Before she could say anything, Jeremy's voice rang through their ears.

Both Yumi and Odd's eyes widen. The thing is: they can't reply back because the monsters would know their location.

And Jenny wouldn't reply because she's focused with the Aelita's DNA situation.

Einstein couldn't have picked a better timing.

Yumi did a few hand signs to Odd, showing him what he had to do and what she would do. Odd nodded.
Both of them tip-toed out from their cover.

Suddenly, the both of them blacked out and the next thing they knew, they were de-virtualised.

Yumi, realising what happened, her face turned dark and the entire mood that she gave off was deadly.

Odd didn't dare to say anything because he did not want to suffer Yumi's wrath.

As soon as the elevator door opened, Yumi walk straight up to Jeremy, pulling him up by the collar.

"What in the world are you trying to do?! Huh?! Now Jenny's all by herself against five monsters that are five times her size and most probably can defeat her in two or three blows?"

"What?! Jenny didn't get de-virtualise with you guys?"

Jenny is still in Lyoko and the rest are out? Why wasn't she de-virtualised? WHYYYY?
